  1. It says a lot about Tuchel that he would rather play Sarr, a player who couldn’t even cut it in Portugal then trying something other than his 3-4-3. City beats a lot of teams before the match even starts.
  2. Nah with the same exact team, Pep would do much better with this Chelsea side. Tuchel problem is he is lacking from an attacking standpoint, you may say his players aren’t good but no doubt in my mind they would perform higher with Pep. Tuchel hasn't coached a cohesive attacking side since his Dortmund days. PSG fans were frustrated with him, because they just gave Neymar and Mbappe create something.
  3. The difference is Pep and Tuchel, if role were reversed who would be higher on the table?
  4. Oh Shut up. Watching this game is absolute misery.
  5. Pep is a class above Tuchel as team building goes.
  6. Yeah we have a massively expensive squad, and we are playing Sarr. For all the talk of how much City spent, they are utilizing it very well. Lukaku, Werner, Havertz, Pulisic, and Ziyech how much have we spent on them? Feels so depressing how poorly we have done.
  7. With that lineup I will be extremely shocked.
  8. I think I read Kennedy will go out on loan again, he won’t be part of the squad.
  9. You kinda see it why Kepa distribution ability is so important, it allows us to transition the ball from defense to attack so fast and spuds press can’t there fast enough.
  10. Unless we play with 3 man midfield on a regular basis which we should.
  11. I am actually looking forward to seeing Kepa, Mendy is no doubt a better shot stopper, but Mendy has his own weakness that being his distribution, ability on the ball, bypassing the press. When Mendy is the GK he needs his passing options to be near him, which makes it easier for the opposition to contain, in contrast when Kepa is the keeper everyone is more spread out.
  12. So before Jorginho was introduced were you blind to the fact Liverpool was cutting through the middle and making runs through midfield.
  13. put another damn midfielder in the game.
  14. I highly doubt it. Look I remember not being a fan of the Torres signing; I recall my thinking was he was injury prone and that there was a better st in Kun Auguro. But Torres career at Chelsea was worst case scenario.
  15. Lukaku is a worse signing than Torres, in hindsight Torres was an epic failure but given the circumstances you could understand at the time. I don’t think anyone could have predicted how bad signing Torres turned out to be. But with Lukaku it was quite clear, in fact Man United already proved that, they made that mistake just a couple years ago. Which is why this is so comical that we didn’t learn that mistake given the evidence.
  16. I have given you examples of how signing Lukaku is not consistent with Chelsea board past dealing, and there is also Lukaku and Tuchel own words that strengthens my argument. Btw Chalobah stepped up, and he has done the job that Kounde would have. You are forgetting that we signed Saul Niguez, yes he has been terrible in hindsight. But forgetting that he was seen a competent signing when you consider Jorginho, Kovacic, and Kante on the squad. There is nothing logical about your argument, you have fully positioned that Tuchel is not at fault and he can’t have bad judgment but only could be the board fault.
  17. Atletico and maybe Newcastle is our best hope. I think he would do well at Atletico.
  18. You can believe this nonsense but it makes no sense. So you think the board wanted to sign a striker that the manager didn’t want. A striker for the highest transfer fee they have ever spent and making him the highest paid player at the club. Given Rudigar and Christensen contract situation, does this make sense? A striker they have previously sold and weren’t willing to sign when the previous manager Conte wanted him above everyone else. If you also look at Chelsea transfer target they are very unwilling to sign players without resale value, they want young players before they reach their prime. Tuchel is not here for a long time, in fact he knows that. Most likely he saw Lukaku as the best striker available, and he knew he needed a goal scorer, he had Jorginho as his leading goal scorer so he knew he needed to address it.
  19. We need to sell him now, because the guy is a cancer, just like cancer the longer he stays the more he destroys the locker room.
  20. Regardless of injuries this side over performed in the first half of the season. Reece, Chilly, and other defenders provided a lot of timely goals and assists. It was only a matter of time before that dried out. Our attackers have not gotten the job done.
  21. Still has not build a balance team. Even last season, it was quite obvious we were lacking in the scoring department. With Lukaku we are lacking our ability to press and possession. Without him we are lacking a focal point and directness from our forward. Injuries have been brutal, but we were very dependent on Reece and Cilly scoring and individual performances, in the long run that is not a recipe for success. Even with a full healthy squad we are still lacking the completeness. We are a freaking mess.
  22. I would always prefer an extra midfielder rather than an extra CB. With Lukaku instead of a false 9 it is even more apparent.
  23. Chalobah looks clueless in the middle, not marking for shit.
  24. It is no coincidence this has happened with Lukaku, it was the same in the second half last game.
