  1. Moratti 'would take Mou back' Massimo Moratti has confessed that he would like to see Jose Mourinho back at Inter. “I’m very fond of him, he’s special.” Mourinho led Inter to the Treble in 2010 and was sacked by Manchester United on Tuesday, while Moratti was the Nerazzurri President who took the Coach to San Siro. “The hope for the New Year is that we do better, returning to the Champions League without underestimating the two cups we’re still in,” he said before the club’s Christmas dinner. “Icardi’s decisive and we can’t lose him. Marotta’s experience can help Zhang. He’ll offer important support. “Would I like Mourinho back at Inter? Yes, I’m very fond of him. However, we’ll give time to Spalletti to prove his worth. “Simeone? I love him too, but Mou is special.” https://www.football-italia.net/132233/moratti-would-take-mou-back
  2. ADL: 'Sarri too highly-strung' Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis said Maurizio Sarri was “very highly-strung,” especially compared to Carlo Ancelotti, while Sinisa Mihajlovic was “too energetic.” The patron spoke at a panel set up by Il Corriere di Mezzogiorno and discussed his choice of tacticians. “I chose Sarri against everyone’s advice. At the time, the city was covered in banners protesting my decision,” insisted ADL. “He had a way of making himself adored even by the most extreme fringes of the fanbase. He’s an individualist, someone who suffered in the lower leagues on pitches with no grass and the odd stone. He’d also suffer because he tended to be fired after six games. “Then he had that run from Serie C to Serie A with Empoli and when we lost 4-2 against him, I thought he might be the right man for us. “I had also wanted Mihajlovic, but he didn’t convince me, as he was too energetic and forced the players to follow him.” Sarri, now at Chelsea, is famous for his chain-smoking and grumpy demeanour, as well as a fanatical devotion to his work. “On the other hand, Sarri seemed timid and I discovered he was so dissatisfied with his past (working in finance). For a Communist to base his profession on the evils of money brought him to suffer from a syndrome of dissatisfaction. “I found Sarri to be very highly-strung. His wife couldn’t even come to the stadium. I used to say to Sarri, who shall we buy? He’d reply that he didn’t want to know anything about it.” On the other hand, Ancelotti brings a very different vibe to the Stadio San Paolo. “I’d known Ancelotti for five years, but when we met up, I found a man who was relaxed and content, with a thousand interests you could sit down and talk about, without ever having to discuss football all night.” De Laurentiis revealed earlier in the panel that he had rejected an offer “worth £95m” for defender Kalidou Koulibaly, believed to be from Manchester United. He had his own near miss on the transfer market, though. “I went to Milan in order to talk to Mauro Icardi’s wife. I offered up to €65m, but it didn’t go through. Never mind.” https://www.football-italia.net/132231/adl-sarri-too-highly-strung
  3. They do come true sometimes! I iz an optimist with pessimistic tendencies lol
  4. I do understand totally. But at the same time I feel myself wondering just IF, IF getting Isco alongside him, his best friend, IF he might get some sort of himself back?? Yeah I know its a slim chance and we might do better just to wash our hands of him. BUT Morata MIGHT be the catalyst that brings Isco to us also. Just a thought.
  5. 60's,70's80's Kids This thread is for us all to place the things that we had as a kid but that are no longer around As its getting towards Xmas and I spent a lot of my childhood in America till I was 12 I thought I would post a couple of toys that I remember fondly. Big Loo - I got this in Xmas 63. It had loadsa weapons and you could talk thru a hole in the back of his head that made you sound luke a robot! Well it did to a 6 year old kid. To get one off evilbay in good nick in his box would cost you $1k They were $10 when I got mine apparently This was a bike I got for Xmas 67. I remember 1st seeing it in the shop. They were different with the rams horn handlebars and gear stick. The one I wanted was gold metalflake but got one that was purple metalflake but when I saw it Xmas morning I didn't care. For a year I was bombing round Nellis air force base Las Vegas from 1st light till dark! Only had it for a year cause I got a mini bike the next Xmas. Used to go with my mate bombing around the desert with our daisy BB rifles catching lizards to race and swap at school. We moved to London in Oct 69 when my dad went to Viet Nam. My uncle was a bit of a lad. Proper old Chelsea nutter and was big into the soul scene. So I really owe all Ive done since then to him. Anywats for my 1st Xmas here he bought me a Dansette record player and a record token that he took me to Boots and spent a whole afternoon listening to records in one of those booth things that had speakers in it. I spent every spare penny I had on records and clothes after that lol
  6. One thing is that hes scored against both Manc teams this season which cant be bad can it. Lets hope he has a shit day against us eh!
  7. I love the Wee Baldy Man Chelsea prepare for League Cup quarter-final against Bournemouth with joker in the pack as N'Golo Kante admits: 'My national team-mates have called me a cards cheat' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6508829/Chelsea-prepare-League-Cup-quarter-final-against-Bournemouth-joker-pack-NGolo-Kante.html Good to see the lads all with smiles on their faces - even RLC
  8. I kope that this is right. Shows our board is acting and serious about wanting to do good. Chelsea to bid £70m for Isco with Spaniard ready to snub Arsenal for quick transfer https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8012243/chelsea-isco-bid-man-city-transfer/ A plus is that Isco and Morata are very close mates and have a good playing relationship too. It MIGHT be wehat he needs to bring a smile to his face This was last December when some of us got all excited remember!
  9. Ours aren't bad bud! Our problems arise in the final 1/3 when its time to go for the cum shot and all we feel is stress and tension instead of putting on that strange sex face and screaming YAHOOOOYA haha ( ͡ʘ ͜ʖ ͡ʘ)
  10. Oi!! whats occurring? I got Iggy sending me links for trainer sites too. Tho can never have too many pairs of trainers! I'll stick to my DCs and adidas ta very much! Old fave Stockholms New summer 2019 Busenitz - just have to wait for a Size 15s to come in that the shop workers dont nick to sell on evilbay! And New summer 2019 DCs Maybe I can ask Roman to find me some =(
  11. Nah - thats just what they deserve! Or maybe do that first then go in with the psychology stuff.
  12. Hope it tasted better the 2nd time mate! Answering on from the conversation on the Pogba thread about Emenalo 11D may very well be right in everything he said other than that he seems not to have understood the very narrow point I have been making. I said he may be right, but in fact I think he is overly critical of ME. I think he simplifies the areas of responsibilities and seems to me to blame ME for everything he, 11D, did not agree with. I don't believe we fans have enough information to be so definitive in apportioning blame. The same goes for the criticism people now level at Marina. They have not the first clue what her real responsibilities and parameters are, yet they comment as if they know all of that, and have read her brief from the board and the owner as well. Whether what I say in this paragraph is right or wrong, it has nothing to do with the original point. I'll take your advice here and post anything else I want to say on ME/MG in the right thread. I have to admit I was really down on Emenalo and put him down as the biggest problem we had in the transfer market. I thought he was more interested in promoting ME and being the center of attention, steering it onto him and away from the manager. But then he buggered orft and we was still shite in the transfer market I realized it went far deeper than him. I think I would prefer to go into the transfer market and get a DOF right now and swap aut Granny.,
  13. Bit steep that valuation maybe. Almost as bad as Granny turning down the £60mill for Willian cause she wanted £65!
  14. Why? I'm disappointed in him. I and I'm sure all of us really wanted to see him here becoming best in his position. But he looked totally lost in a couple of games under Conte and it seemed to get into his head and not been right ever since. If we could go back he might have been better off with another year on loan but it seemed he was ready and up for the chance. Same with Happy. We either loan him to Barca or sell him with a buy back clause in hopes.
  15. Its not the board thread but I think you'tre both right. I would put in a DOF with experience of doing deals at top level. Someone thats been in charge of a large scouting group and has contacts around Europe. But I would also bring in and hire as many of our old guard as possible. Make good use of them. Make them scouts, ambassadors, coaches, big brothers, etc etc Utilize our assets.
  16. To be a GOOD manager tho you need a degree in Psychology just as much as football tactics etc. You cant motivate every player with the hairdryer treatment. Some may respond great and want to prove you wrong. Some need a arm round them and their heads patting and told it will all be OK. Others need their arses kissed with smoke blown up it and told they're the best thing since sliced bread. Egos are very brittle. Yeah as the top of their game millionaire professionals they should be good enough to motivate themselves but they're tender likkle lambs bless their hearts!!
  17. But his figures beat Asensio with much less minutes. More goals & asists. I like him and apparently so does Pep.
  18. I really dont know where there is for Mou to go. He needs to be somewhere the team has no problems of winning owt and players that will worship him cause we know if their face doesn't fit they have no chance. What I'm worried about is who takes over? They will of course get a nice kitty to play with - Which Conte would appreciate. And tho ZZ has never had to rebuild he worries me. The thing that interests me is who Perez will sign come the summer? If the reports that came out at the start of the season are right Poch accepted the job but somehow Levy stood in the way. I hope he manages to make it this time. Take the King Edward potato head Kane with him. Weaken Spuds up no end.
  19. We have been saying this about him since the 1st day he made it into the 1st team tho! He is now 22. Not old but how much longer are we going to have to wait? I must admit Ive never taken to him. Always thought he looked lanky and gangley. He reminds me of Bambi on ice. But I thought OK. Give the lad his chance. See how the loan works out. It should do him good. But hes only stepped up once or twice this season from all Ive seen. He was a disappointment IMO against Vidi. It was the perfect chance for him (and Barkley) to stand up and make a mark. But watching the Wolves game today I think him and Cescy were the only two trying. I'm afraid the main reason I'd keep him is for his HG tag. But yes at a push why not stick him as a CF to try hm out. I had such high hopes for all 3. Kova,RLC,Barkley and still so want them each to be excellent (it would save is alot of grief, time & money). But I would bring in a new ACM as one of the 5 spots I'd like to upgrade.
  20. I reckon we should go for him. I hope that Solari hates him and doesn't give him a minute! Problem is that Shitty are already talking to him Our board is so slow!
  21. Yeah just read this in a dif write up. Seems like Magic Box likes him.
  22. Yep worth a try/ Never know until we do. Byt I do think Mou staying was a big help for us in a few ways.
  23. He MIGHT be playing him because of only have Emerson as the only alternative and not have faith in him. Which is a shame as I'm sure many of us were thinking the same that he looked to be something good last season and was going to be something good! But seems that he has started to come good now and his potential coming good. Lets hope eh/
