Nobody was happier than me when The Best joined us. It was electric watching him join up with Cescy with those long balls. And he brought us what we had been missing for awhile. That fight and determination. I love the lad. But not long after he joined us the homesick rumours started and they didn't go away. no matter how the reasons were spinned. Was it just his style of play that made him so combative and in everyuones face or was he just not happy.Now Hes our player on paper but his head is obviosly in Spain We could be cunts and say do yer job you aint going nowhere. But I'd much rather have a player whos comiong out and saying he wants to be Chelsea even tho he must know its pissing off his team mates,manager and all their supporters. Yeah Id love Costa to stay but I do think Lukaku will fit in great and do just as good if not better than him. I got no bad feelings for Costa, sometimes its not good chemistry. Its not easy coming from such different countries. I wish the lad well.

I dont know what went wrong or who was in control of it all but after ther sad Filipe Luis fail somebody just went doolally with Paby,Baba and Miazga. With Baba costing between £14 and £20mill which they must have thrown a party when the door closed. But the other 2 wer £10mill between them. Why didn't the scouts/transfer teasm/management sit down and make some plan to get decent defenders. Thats what gets me. How did they come to their conclusions? Right now I'd give my right one for Luis and Luiz. They would both fit Conte stylee

How much have the Rags spent on transferas under Mou? And how much more do you think they will spend? This is a rebuild. They alrteady had players enough to play 3 1st teams.

We have the basis of a great YOUNG squad and iy would only take another 4 or 5 players and we would have a team that would be together and just might rule Engand and fight in the top rank of Europe for years to come. If we shifted our deadwood it would be a big help to put towards the standard of players we need. I know its easy to say. Its a big job and finding the players is bloody hard. But we have a good bunch of lads right now and it seems a perfect time for the bold to inherit the earth. Lets paint it Blue!

Good reeads Theres no doubt whatsoever that the 2 signings we have so far just might be the best 2 buys of the seasonj. Its reminding me of the Cescy/Costa window. But lets all hope theres a couple of defenders on their way to our halowed turf.

I wouldn't mind seeing the back of him too in the right deal but depth isn't just about replacing with quality. We have to offer an alternative. A different way to play than the player he will replace. There are SOME times that option just MIGHT be Oscar. Is this enough to keep him, I dont think so.

I always thought pre season was to get players match fit, play about with formations, try out different plays and to work out just who will be the best players in different formations. Nothing that happened yesterday got me overly worried, Apart from learning that Moses/Chalobah and Square might just turn out to be really good options for us we learned basically what we already knew. We really need to sort out our defence. Our Belgian lads had only been training a couple of days, Our main striker wasnt playing for whatever reason and the lad we bought to strenthen our CM wasn't training yet. Ive got total faith that IF we get GOOD FB & CB and pick the right selection once our strikers stop playing musical chairs that we are goiung to have a really strong team.

I'm afraid Griezmans going nowhere - but I'd love him. I reckonLukaku coming to us is the perfect timing. Hes got alot of his mates here so fitting ins no problem. Hes going to be our most expensive player and thats going to give his ego a rocket. Add that getting fed by our AMs and CMs and partner with Batman plus Conte here then I just see a win win situation. OK hes a bit dear but we saved a hellovalot of money on N'Golo, we got the sale of Costa thats just bound to happen plus the money we made on him for selling him the 1st time round. Hes a young guy and unless he pulls a Torres his value is only going up. Its a no brainer.

We know Evertons thoughts on us. They were initialy pissed at us for the price we got for Lukaku and then they were taking the piss thinking they ripped us off. So they were never going to well us Stones but a few short months later off he trots to Manc land. So now we got a war on 2 fronts with Stones Part II and a bidding war with Koulibaly.
