I really hope this is bollox but the problem is it smells real. Buying a 31 year old striker when we are trying (I hope) to get rid of our older players. But its plain as the nose on yer face Conte didn't ask for Bats and toitally has no faith/trust in him. If hes not got him to PL status now after 7 solid months of daily training he wont do. So if Conte is going to spunk £10mil on a player to use on rare occasions who is already PL broken that he knows already then fuck it, do it. I just hope he doesn't see him as our future and has his sights aimed at Sanchez level.

Not one of us I dont think denys Dave is proper good but we also have to admit that hes got his weaknesses too. Nobody dislikes the lad,, hes Chelsea thru n thru. But if he makes mistakes and teams are going to pick them out then its something that needs to be looked at/

But we still need a good ball playing CB back there. Luiz can hoof it upfield and is much calmer on the ball now but he needs someone back with him to pass to to take it upfield instead of just giving it to a WB. But yes Dave as LWB would work I reckon.

We have been needing a ball playing CM with defensive skills all season to pllay alongside N'Golo we knew that already.. Good ones are all tucked away by their clubs tho and very thin on the ground. Our only hope is to pay up for one. Or get Dr Frankenstein to work on Cescy.

This next 2 transfer windows are going to be very big for us and some of ou players. The full back position especially is going to be a hard decision. I loved Happy pre accident and pre Conti but I'm not sure how Conti sees him as important in our future. We got Andreas and Ake both coming back with the same wants of being a regular starter too. So thats 3 talented young guys all itching to wear blue. We got Luiz who I think couldn't be placed anywhere better on the CB line (MAYBE as a deep pocket playmaker tho) And I can't see Dave losing his place any time soon. But I would happily upgrade Gazza. So will the Don with his history of masking up good defences buy in a CB or gamble on waiting a few weeks into pre season to see how the lads integrate into the team? Theres no doubt Andreas has picked up a wealth of experience on loan playing regular and in CL whereas Happy hasn't played very much at all plus recovering from a career ending injury for some. So tho I love him I'm dubious. Ake has been solid. Had a good game against those north London lot last night I thought. But as we can only use 3 I think Conte will buy one in and I hope could talk one of the lads into staying and fighting for his place. We shall see.
