Are we wanting Villa to win???

Does our boy want/consider big expensive players the only ones suitable to play in a team with? Because as ya know its going to be difficult for us to get them for many reasons. Or would just Sarris style of play with him bringing in players he thinks will suit that style be ok for him? We never really know who we have coming in till that last minute of the season when the wonky donkeys are normally hobbling around with their 'Chelsea Buy Me' cards arounf their necks.So eden wont know who he will have to play in the team with. So when does he make his decision if they are worthy of him? I'm being devils advocate here as I understand both sides of the situation but I have to admit it that I dont like the way he has gone about the problem even if I understand what hes saying. Tho I would love a team full of top well known players I would be happy to have a happy team, playing good football together and hopefully winning games no matter who they were. I thhink that even if we dont end up winning silverware over Sarris contract - those 2 years will have got us playing a more up beat attacking football that should add to the defensive side we have now. And IF after those 2 years Roman decides another change is necessary then at least we should have a more well balanced side by then for the next manager to work with.

Its natural for a player to want to play better and in a different way and I dont mind him having thoughts about changing manager etc but IMOI think heshould have kept his opinions to himself and not come out in the media about it. Him and Tibo aren't daft. They know exactly what they're doing media wise. What I think he should have done is voiced his opinions 1st to Conte. Had a straight conversation with him. IF that didn't achieve anything then he obviously knows Roman - have a word in his ear hole. Say 'Look I'll be honest. I love playing here etc but I'm not happy blah blah...' Roman must love Eden as hes a supporter too. He would have had a meeting with Conte saying 'What can we do about it?' I just dont like hearing all the inside negativity coming out of the players mouths. They all can't agree with Conte leaving and it causes bad feelings between each other. It is a form of player power and its not the 1st time we have had it.

With him supposedly telling the club he ants to bring 5 players with him (yeah right) why would one be a 32 year old Raul Albiol? AND KK? OK I would love KK next to Rudi but ffs we never paid up for him the plast 2 seasons when he was alot cheaper than he will be now. I can see us going for the aging Raul Albiol even with our stockpile of CBs Lets hope Sarri can talk us into Jorginho & KK but I wont hold my breath

He is primarily a businessman tho the same as our board. So MAYBE something might work using swaps/cashh mixture.

But the vast majority of this season was a 100% different way to play along with player attitude compared to last season. And that cant all be down to Costa getting the Spanish archer or the supposed negativity of Conte. Last year we played some of the best football I have ever seen us play. There was a physical electric feeling in MH from the start that something good was going to happen. And apart from a couple of games at the start something good DID happen. We played smooth,fast attacking football, scored alot of goals and still kept a stromg defence. And to look at them play most of this year you would think someone had put sleeping tablets in their water! So it is possible for us to play good looking football. But for whatever reasons, and it cant all be put on Contes head, we haven't. Our problem will be going from one formation into another that are so different. It wont happen in a few weeks over the summer, and we know Romans impatiance levels.

I dont quite get how the managership interviews whatever work. I would think if I was to appy or be asked to interview for a new club I would want to visit the place. I would want my trusted team go check out the players to see just what I had to play with. I would contact ex managers/players to get as much inside information as i possibly coul get. All before I added my name to the potebtial list. You wouldn't just turn up and have our board firing questions at ya. Couldn't agree more! It doesn't matter who we bring in as HEAD COACH if the board dont back and trust him enough to let him say which players HE needs (of course within reason) Ive also seen his assisttant following him around carrying a Espresso coffee pot and cup for his regular hit!

How do we think Dave will fit in a Sarri side? With his building an attack by taking the ball forward from defence and their very high pressing back 4 often upto the half way ;ine going forward? Do they use a center striker as a target for a long pass from a RB? Or will he have to change his style at all?

Mate I dearly hope we find a TOP B2B. I dont mind us keeping Barkley/RLC on for depth if good enough but I see Baks in CM 3. Sarri might sharpen him up some but who knows what the summer will bring. I hope he goes somewhere he is appreciated. How he gets paid off depends how its worded in his contract I suppose. And as we do seem to have a board of business people who dont understand fotball it will be written how it is the best payment plan for the club. Its all a big sad mess and I'll be happier when its all sorted.
