I remember some interview Conte gave when Luiz came back something like he could become the best CB in the world - or to that effect. So I dont understand how this apparent clashing happened between them? I think maybe allot of our players resentment came about from Diego's strop. I want to see Anderas do good and become a Chelsea great but he also had some dodgy times this season too.

I think we are going to have to be careful how we handle our current youth bright stars, they are already getting allot of attention from bigger clubs than us I think with that sort of attention, blown up egos, our history in the loan market along with our failure to promote youth I think it will be more difficult to hold on to them now. We either need to make a standard development route for cherry picking them including SOME time training fully with the 1st team with a keen prospect of 1st team time or a strong alliance with a GOOD European club that we can gve them 2 years of regular playing time. Cause right now our loan system is shite, But our academy is among the best and we still have the ability to attract good young lads. There must be some way we can utilize them.

I wouldn't mind at all if it was replacing Cahil as he doesn't SEEM to fit a Sarri player at all. Its going to be difficult with Andreas,Happy and Ampadu tho. Its going to be interesting anywhichways it goes. And I would prefer the manager picked HIS team so we can get a grasp of what hes going to try and do. What I'm worried about is whatever manager comes in will probably have no idea who to bring in from the academy side. And without Morriss to point it out and push them forward its going to be hard to bring them on.

At 32 he actually doesn't look like a bad player neither. Still seems fit enough to get far enough forward to score some headers. He would probably be the easiest to get from ADL and Ancelottis clutches. Tho I'd prefer him to bring others instead of him.

OK in a normal circumstance when we have got a manager that we trust and a team that can fight on some kind of an equal footing then I'd agree that time isn't the biggest factor. But the situation that the club is in we really shouldn't be dragging our arses while we are giving players (both ours and potential transfers) the impression we dont have a bloody clue WTF we are doing! Would you go play for some club that dont know what their next step will be or rather play for a strong club that know exactly where they aim to be at the end of the season? We dont have the strongest reputation for attracting GOOD players as it is but our best windows in the last few years have been when we have acted quickly and knew who our targets were before the window opened. But as we dont have a sporting director or the manager that has any sort of idea what our current players are like so won't have an idea of where he needs to strengthen or who he needs to get shot of. As well as our current best players being tempted by our stronger rivals for varying reasons it all shows what a mess we are in. This isn't the sort of problem that gets sorted in 1 window. It takes planning and a team working together from top to bottom to sort it. Not Romans normal quick fix by chopping off the head and growing another. So we cant afford to be all chilled and relaxed just hoping that the club 'dont usually botch up' because they have, often. And we are already behind our rivals so the more we ummm and ahhh the further we fall back. I'm normally very optimistic and the one saying it will all be OK. But gotta admit I'm worried right now.

its not the board not saying owt till its fact, the problem is they are slower than trying to get a cab to go to Brixton from the City after midnight! And when they do do something its normally a bodge job. Really should bring that back. See what David Baddiel thinks of how we are going.
