  4. Players we will be without to keep up the training The Spaniards: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Alonso and Morata The Italians: Jorginho, Zappacosta and Emerson The Frenchmen: Kante and Giroud The German: Rudiger The Belgian: Hazard The Croatian: Kovacic The Brazilian: Willian The Dane: Christensen The Welshman: Ampadu The English: Loftus-Cheek So basically we are left with Pedro and Luiz out of the main starters. Might as well give them a couple of days off.
  5. I'm sure that it makes every single one of us smile to see this side of Eden showing his fun side and seems very happy.. But I'm not completely buying anything till he puts pen to paper, The things that Eden are saying is what all big name players are supposed to say. Hes not a stupid lad ffs. The longer he ummms ar Aaahs the less time and leverage we have and the more control he has over a new contract. Whats more important to him? Being at a club where he is adored by the fans the players the manager, hes happy at his job, hes getting paid a shit load of money and has the opportunity of truly being a REAL Chelsea legend. Or go to Real Madrid.

  10. Chelsea’s Shock Move For Striker With Better Numbers Than Ronaldo What the West London outfit really lack, however, is a striker who can keep pace with the likes of Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, Mohamed Salah and Romelu Lukaku in the scoring charts, with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud registering just once between them so far this term. One man who appears capable of solving that problem, and who has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent times, is Italian international Ciro Immobile, a centre-forward who has been scoring for fun in Serie A of late: https://www.kickoff.co.uk/87801/chelseas-shock-move-for-striker-with-better-numbers-than-ronaldo/
  11. He has this natural tendency to put his foot in his gob. I'm not abdicating violence of course but hes got a face thats just screaming out for someone in our Blue world to slap it silly! Chelsea: Kovacic and Morata know better about Real Madrid than Courtois Nothing like a win against the 17th-place team of the last two seasons to get the ego fired up. After two games on the bench behind Keylor Navas, Thibaut Courtois made his Real Madrid debut against Leganes. Courtois reveled in the 4-1 win over a team that spent 18 of the last 20 seasons in the second and third tier by taking pot-shots at Chelsea, because of course he did. That’s what professionals do Despite the win, Courtois will spend the foreseeable future in Madrid on the bench. Keylor Navas has done nothing to warrant being replaced and is still in his prime years. Navas is about the same age as Petr Cech was when Courtois stomped his foot until Chelsea caved to his demands, enabling his rise to the starting spot at Stamford Bridge. But Madrid know how to handle superstars and divas better than Chelsea. It’s what they do there. They have years of experience working with actual superstars whose performance justifies the occasional diva outburst. Courtois is no such star. https://theprideoflondon.com/2018/09/03/chelsea-mateo-kovacic-alvaro-morata-real-madrid/
  12. What surprises me is that Alonso is in the squad. But seeing Jordi Albas not been picked .........
  13. Diego Costa out of Spain's game against England Diego Costa has withdrawn from Spain's squad for their UEFA Nations League matches against England and Croatia for "personal reasons". http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12024/11489544/diego-costa-out-of-spains-game-against-england
  14. He actually started against Leganes didn't he? I'm just hoping that Eden IS so happy right now that its not T'Boa telling Eden to go join him but it's Eden that keeps bending T'Boas ear letting him know how well we are doing (and how happy he looks sitting on the bench!)
  15. Dont know whats considered the long haul but he shall soon be 29 As for slowing us down I look towards Eden also who still has the hold and dribble mentality instead of the quick pass. This slows us down also. No matter how much we might like watching them I actually think his defensive sides picked up somewhat. And as Sarri says they are working on that part of his play I'm happy to keep the lad right now also considering the lack of potential realistic upgrades.
  16. 'Nick MillerESPN.com writer Victory of the weekend Mauricio Sarri's predicted date of around October for his Chelsea team to start looking like his Chelsea team is still a while away, but they've now won their first four games and sit level top of the table. Winning while the squad familiarise themselves with Sarri's methods is obviously good in the short-term, but it's useful for him in the long-term too. If they're collecting three points as Sarri is shaping them the players will, logically speaking, be more likely to trust him and his methods, and thus take on board what he's saying. A successful work-in-progress should mean that the finished product is all the better.
  17. Had to look up what prescient meant but I suppose thats right. But the lads have to remember, ALL of them, that we aren't that ball carrying team now that should be relying on dribbles. OK we all like to see them when they come off but thos system we have going shows that theres 2 ways to skin a cat and it works much better when the whole team is in on it But its still early and its a learning curve. These soddin internationals come at a piss poor time eh
  18. I see Saah has signed a new 5 year deal and is NOW on £200k PWl And Eden has stalled om one for £350k!!
  19. Hmmmm Chelsea's Eden Hazard reveals what he told Marcos Alonso about his defending style Speaking on the pitch after the final-whistle, Hazard said: "Sometimes, [he] is in front of me. I said to him once, 'Marcos, I think your first target is to defend, because you play left back', but this guy don't want to listen, he just wants to score goals." https://www.givemesport.com/1382876-chelseas-eden-hazard-reveals-what-he-told-marcos-alonso-about-his-defending-style?autoplay=off
  20. Dunno if it was missed but that was a tongue in cheek comment I made
  21. I never said he would be good at Sarriball. Hes never had a good 1st touch and his link up play is poor at best But its one of those cases where the ends justify the means. I'd take a 3 legged donkey if he could give us 20 goals a season and thats what Lukaku could give us.
  22. Sorry but I was so disappointed we didn't get Lukaku. He could be amazing with a manager who cared for him. He might not be everyones cuppa tea but he would be great under Sarri.
  23. Or could tap in a sub to take them - maybe Eden or Jorgi boy? - Oh wait. That means they would score. Forget that. Let Pog keep taking them!
