Mission reacted to Hybrid Angel in π§π· Oscar
Look, I've never been a big Oscar fan, but after all the debates regarding his consistency and lack of a pre-season, I think it's just best to wait till the end of the season and if he manages to perform consistently throughout the year then no problem. If he doesn't, it's fair to say Oscar wasted his last chance and desrves to be sold.

Who creates our chances? Hazard uses his dribbling, fabregas uses his passing and vision, and pedro crosses.
If hazard and fabregas are failing to do their jobs individually then all that is left is one of our top assists makers in oscar.
I'm not hyping oscar, I'm being realistic of our terrible situation.

This REALLY isn't our season, is it? Can't we just load a save from May or something...

Ivanovic was shit defensively last year as well. Yes he scored some crucial goals and made some good attacking runs and play but his poor defensively display this season is actually a continuation from the previous season rather than an abnormally.

More than Willian? Now there's an achievement. How about his shots 20 meter wide? Or his famous crosses that find a target once in a blue moon? Got those stats as well?
Only 1 manager in the world would play a centre back at RB in favor of a great RB who has to play LB while having a class LB rotting on the bench. But hey, keep apologizing.

Mission reacted to kellzfresh in πͺπΈ Diego Costa
When costa first came, everytime he ran fabregas tried to get the ball to him, direct vertical through passes from midfield. But now costa rarely gets direct passes anymore so his runs are now wasted. He doesn't have great holdup play especially in the air, but his strength is his runs so if our players are not utilizing it they are wasting him.

I disagree re movement, I've played in defends before and strikers who move around a lot are an absolute nightmare to play against, I'd much prefer facing a skillfull player who doesnt move around as much. Also drifting wide can often drag a centre half with you, like the Arsenal game when he drifted wide took Mertresaker with him and left Koscielny at Hazards mercy.

Too much wishful thinking bro. You stated before our game with City that you were not worried about the game as "they are nothing special" and "overrated" and they ended up beating us 3-0. Yeah, they had good balance but the question will remain can Navas perform consistently for the whole season which City fans and probably Pellegrini is unsure about. While they will lose the pace on the counter they will have the excellent creativity of KDB and Silva which Navas cannot provide and while KDB is not as fast as Navas he is not a slouch and has a fair amount of pace.
What you have to rmember is KDB is a good passer as well. They now have two players capable of providing Aguero with excellent through balls. Something Navas cannot do. The interchanging of KDB, Silva and Sterling is going to make them a big threat. You have gave your reasons as to why you think it will not work which is fair enough but like I was saying I think it is too much wishful thinking without realising the huge benefits it will bring to their team.
I have not even mentioned the goal threat. As well as KDB creativity, he scores goals which is something Navas struggles to do. Another key dimension KDB has to his game.

Only on this forum is playing Navas on the right a better option than KDB. The latter is alot better than the former in pretty much everything.
He and Silva will rotate between one another fluidly considering both are effective in either position.
I don't get this notion they'll lose alot of pace either. De Bruyne is deceptively quick & is elite in transition. He absolutely burns teams in open space.

The trouble with 'modern' designs is that eventually they stop looking modern and start looking old fashioned. What I like about our plans are that they're more or less unique and so will hopefully come to be seen as classic and timeless.

Mission reacted to Gilvorak in π§πͺ Eden Hazard
Diego Costa definitely did not "carry us" in the first half of the season and neither did Fabregas. Not after the first 5/6 games anyway. If I had the time I'd go back into this thread and pull up multiple quotes of posters who thought Hazard was our best player at the time. That was simply a team effort, the entire front 5 were on form throughout that period which is why we were being touted as potentially the new invincibles.
As for the PSG game, he was far and away our best player in that match.
I still cannot believe he came out from that game with the most criticism. Matic delivered the worst midfield performance you'll ever see. Fabregas wasn't too far behind, Costa got dominated by Silva/Luiz & resorted to kicking/pushing opponents, Ivanovic got destroyed by DL for the equalizer & Terry/Cahill were marking each other instead of Thiago Silva for the gamewinner lol.
Btw, hasn't the major criticism of Hazard always been he doesn't win enough games with goals? Now he wins two successive games with goals the tune has suddenly changed & we're back to criticizing his all around game (which is laughable lol). At least stay consistent.

What a load of crap. A "weather player" doesn't carry his team to a PL title like Hazard did last season. When the team struggled he stepped up.
He's in poor form atm but let's not forget what he did for us last season.

Mission reacted to Pacquiao in π§πͺ Eden Hazard
do you even watch Hazard play regularly?
He has proven himself to be a big game player, time and time again he performs for us in the big games, as for the CL as a team we were awful in both legs against PSG, and in the World Cup he got 2 game winning assists and 1 MOTM award.
Hazard is very rarely annoymous in games, and the times when he is, is mainly due to us being ultra defensive.
You are clearly just looking for attention or dont watch Hazard play regularly.

Mission reacted to robsblubot in π§πͺ Romelu Lukaku
Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of either. While Costa is the far better player now, Lukaku could reach that level, but not much further because of his poor technique.
apples and oranges here... The only thing they have in common is their technique, or the lack thereof.
One plays for a top team as as a striker is under constant pressure - never alone and has no time on the ball.
The same cannot be said of Lukaku who often enjoys some nice counter attacking as his team is attacked far more often.
That was only the most obvious point; intricate passing done at Chelsea (compared to everton) makes Costa even less likely to think and pick the right pass.
Just an extreme example to illustrate my point: it'd be akin to say that Mikel is a better passer than [any attacking player here] based on his passing accuracy, even though Mikel is often under no pressure roaming in uncontested areas of the pitch.

Nope. Not today. He lost the ball a lot today, he's not match fit. Good goal, but Diego definitely led the line a lot better today.
Diego was feeding off scraps, didn't get proper supply today.

Absolutely, at the party two weeks ago our guy was really lucky to hijack Pedrinha from the United guy who wasn't fast enough to take her home. But you can't expect this to happen at every party, especially this late.

Welcome Pedro!
We finally have a attacking midfielder besides from Hazard who has the capability to get a considerable amount of goals. Just what we needed, great stuff!
I knew we could do it! Now please take care of my second wish and ship Cuadrado out!
(@Jason, it's also poetic justice that you're creating this thread considering your 'it's all tabloid BS guaranteed' comments! )

Doubt that would happen at all. Cech seems really down to earth and transparent. Aside from that, he also has a great sense of humour:
