  1. They rejected a 40M offer of Man Utd this winter period. And when a journalist asked the Wolfsburg manager if he would sell him for 50M, he got the answer: "Not even for 70M.". Rightfully so, Wolfsburg is a great team with great players, but it completely depends on De Bruyne. Loosing him would be a disaster and they would never find a replacement that matches his quality. POY in the Bundesliga will be an interesting battle between the young rising star (De Bruyne) and the player that has proved everything already (Robben).
  2. Why be worried, lol. No one is as strong in the air as Courtois. They call something like that a bad game. Maybe he was a bit off because the Man City goal was partially his fault. He wants to be perfect, and for me he is certainly the goalkeeper with the least amount of mistakes in the world. In that case he needs to regain his little bit lack of confidence, and putting him on the bench is the worst option then. Ofcourse, it can't take too long, certainly when you have Cech on the bench. I agree with that.
  3. Bayern, Man Utd, Liverpool and PSG are pressing for him. But he will likely stay. Rightfully so, Volkswagen pays him a lot and Wolfsburg has a great young team that will become better every year.
  4. He is Chelsea's most important player, I can understand that he wants to see that in salary too.
  5. The negotiations with Hazard about a new contract are stuck, Hazard wants to be among the best paid players in the EPL (now AgΓΌero, Rooney & Van Persie). But the club doesn't want to go that high. PSG and Real Madrid do want to give him that salary.
  6. Only medics seperate us, so I expect him to play here
  7. Courtois (22), Iva (30), Zouma (20), Terry (34), Azpi (25), Matic (26), Fabregas (27), Oscar (23), Cuadrado (26), Costa (26), Hazard (24). Avg age of our normal starting team is 25,73. Finally we don't have an old team anymore!
  8. No, we didn't loose Messi indeed. But we lost a better player than Oscar and Willian. That's the point. But we will win trophies without him too, our team is too strong for the other teams.
  9. Wtf am I reading man? - Preseason: He was at least one of our best players. - First EPL game against Hull: Chosen MOTM - Second EPL game against Aston Villa: Benched - Third EPL game against Man Utd: Played 60 minutes poor, just like the rest of our team. - Fourth against Everton: Benched - Fifth against Fulham: Benched and played 5 minutes but it was a very very good 5 minutes. - Never got a fair chance again
  10. Crap? In preseason he was our best player for me and in the first EPL game he was chosen MOTM. Then against Man Utd he drowned like the rest of our team and he was the only one who got sacrificed. And after that he had to wait 20 games to play 6 minutes, etc. So he never got a fair chance again.
  11. In Bremen he was the player that had run the most distance of the whole Bundesliga, and now in the first season half he was number 3 in the Bundesliga in most distance covered. In a league where everybody covers a lot of distance. So he surely runs his longs out everytime. And KDB a counter attack player? His biggest weakness is his speed (that's why he should never play as a winger in a top league). KDB is the player that breaks the game open with his supernatural passing, completely the opposite of a counterattack player. And ofcourse he is better than Oscar and Willian, that looks obvious to me.
  12. His biggest weapon is his passing for sure, not many footballers even in history can pass the ball as well as he does. He had the best passing game in Belgium ever, it was easy to see he had a very bright future ahead of him. He maybe was the best player in preseason in Chelsea, then got MOTM in the first EPL game and the second he drowned like the rest of the team. Then he was the only one who got sacrificed and he never got a fair chance again. Definitely Mou's biggest mistake this far.
  13. Courtois in an interview with UEFA: "I like languages. I speak Dutch, French, English, Spanish, German and I comprehend Portuguese."
  14. The Cech/Courtois battle to start the season, was topic number one in the world wide football media. And everybody expected a lot, he had to prove why it was the right choice to put Cech on the bench. And he had no time to adapt to the country, city, team or the EPL. If DDG had to do this, he would have let in 5 goals every game for 5 games straight. But Courtois has that much class that he didn't need a second to adapt and mentally he also stands a 100 times stronger than DDG. And when you know that DDG is a shotstopper and Courtois is a complete goalkeeper, and when you see that he is at least at the same level in shotstopping as DDG. I wonder why there exist non Man Utd fans who say that DDG is better than Courtois...
  15. And Kevin Mirallas is a Standard Liege product that became big thanks to Olympiakos. Lille hasn't done much for the lad.
  16. I think all of these are better: Werder Bremen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7HNRiDKIdM 01:52 & 03:12 https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-ts=1421782837&v=VVWWIiJCSqU&x-yt-cl=84359240 02:46 (Mirallas save) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bez-9ic-UkQ
  17. Proved again why I see him as the best goalkeeper in the world and people in general see him as the number two worldwide. Best goalkeeping duo ever in the world of football. Our defense has years of experience with Cech and half a season with Courtois, it's normal that things go more smooth with Cech. But the Courtois-defense combination can only grow if Courtois plays games. Btw, Courtois does more than his job, it's time that our defense do their job too.
  18. Pete would also have conceded 5 goals in that game, get over it. Cech is Cech and Courtois is Courtois, both are among the very best in the world. If rotating goalkeepers ever had succeeded, I would do it. But it has failed every time and everywhere. So when Courtois is fully recovered, he should be back in the goal.
  19. Thibaut Courtois was the first football player ever that became Belgian's Sportsman Of The Year. Tonight he was chosen as the best Belgian player that plays outside Belgium.
  20. Ok, if he has to play at the position of Schurrle and Salah, he definitely won't succeed. If he gets a decent chance as AM, I'm sure he will convince people. Although he is the contrary of Eden, Eden brings showelements on the field, Thorgan quietly does what people expect from him. Very hard worker, excellent technique, good passing, excellent free kicks, always good for a lot of goals and assists.
  21. They even don't remember anything. They see 5 goals against Chelsea on their sportssite and say that Courtois can't be world class, and was overrated all the time. Btw, playing when his father was in life danger and continuing games with pain what turns out to be a broken thumb. The lad is certainly mentally harder than DDG too.
  22. Ok, he doesn't play at a super high level for a very long time, so he has to continue play like this the coming years. But if he does I think he is a great number 3 behind Neuer and Courtois. DDG is more a shotstopper than a modern goalkeeper, so he isn't at the level of the first two indeed. I can agree with that.
  23. Courtois was also chosen as the 20th best player worldwide.
  24. The FIFPro World XI has been anounced before the Ballon D'Or. Neuer was chosen as the goalkeeper of the first team, Courtois was chosen as the goalkeeper of the reserves. So in every important competition, Neuer has been chosen as the best goalkeeper of 2014 and Courtois has been chosen as the second best goalkeeper. In the coming years, there will be great battles between Neuer, Courtois and DDG. Although DDG still has to do more to prove he is there to stay, but I'm sure he will do that.
  25. Probably would have become one of the very best DM in the world. Awful news.
