A journalist asked Courtois if he is bothered that Cech gets his chance now, after that he began the season as the first goalkeeper. "I have no problem at all with the situation. Cech has been a world class goalkeeper for a very long time now. If I listen to him, I still can learn a lot. If he makes a very good save, I wanna do that too. We keep each other at a very high level." That's how you answer a difficult question in the media. Watch and learn, Lukaku.
-
I know you think he can't be better than Tielemans, Praet, Defour, Suarez, Mbemba, Proto, Mitrovic, Najar, Vanden Borre, Acheampong, Heylen, etc. But imo, he is better. Although I really appreciate Praet too, a lot more than Vazquez.
-
It's shocking to see he still thinks he's the big man and that everybody needs to listen to him, while he shows nothing on the field this season. I don't know if it's a good idea to select him for the national team, in his world he still is the only striker that deserves to play.
-
I'm not a Bruges fan at all. But it is very clear that you guys are Anderlechtfans, objective people would never put Vanden Borre ahead of Meunier.
-
Yeah, but Jose has put him on the bench because he wanted the coaching of Petr. So the only reason why he is benched is the fact that he is 22 years old.
-
Wolfsburg wants to pay €40M for him, the amount that Everton asks for him . If he shuts his mouth and works hard, he is worth the amount. Because in a scoring team like Wolfsburg he can reach 30 BL goals every season. But I guess they don't see games and don't read interviews of Lukaku . Dost is way ahead of him atm.
-
Courtois has one big problem that he can't help at all. In an interview earlier this season he said: "Normally, I coach my defense a lot, but at Chelsea everybody knows what they are doing. As a 22 year old newcomer in Chelsea, you can't tell John Terry how he should run. At the moment, I let John organise the defense. But as long as I keep proving myself, I will be able to coach the defense more and more."
-
Favre says he is very happy with him and that he definitely can reach the Chelsea level. But he keeps putting him on the bench and on wrong positions in the field. Would he also do that if they were the owner of Thorgan, or is it a way to buy him cheap?
-
I don't agree, he knows how to finish. But he has the first touch of the Titanic indeed. In a season where everybody calls him bad, he still has 7 PL goals in February. So normally he will reach 10 again. A lot of PL strikers dream about that. And maybe his aiming is sometimes too much in the centre of the goal, like the one Cech saved. But he shoots the ball very hard, that's why everybody is cheering for the save Cech made. Not one goalkeeper in the league likes the fact he will play against Lukaku next game.
-
Lol, to play at a top club power, pace and scoring is not enough. You need footballing skills as well. Clearly, Lukaku will never be good enough for a top club, but if he shuts his mouth and works hard, he might be able to score 15-20 PL goals for Everton every season until he is 32. But that is the best career that I see him make. Not good enough for a top club and not good enough to be the striker of the Belgian national team. And based on this season, I hope Wilmots kicks him out of the first team for a while.
-
Now, I really really wonder how Courtois is going to perform against PSG if he plays. Option 1. His confidence got a blow and he will play bad. 2. He got reminded that there is another world class goalkeeper at the bench and he well shine. 3. He really was mentally tired like Mourinho said and a game off does him well. I have no idea which one of the 3 is true, but I certainly hope it's not option 1.

Not one of these players passes as risky as De Bruyne. 85-90% of their passes are normal standard passes, ofcourse they have a higher percentage then. Of all these players, KDB has certainly the best passing game.
-
What he shows on the field is what matters, not what some guys write that judge him only on one statistic. Bundesliga POY will be a battle between Robben and De Bruyne, enough said.
-
He just always tries the most difficult passes you can give, and he succeeds a lot. Every pass of him is meant to bring a teammate alone in front of the goalkeeper. And when a pass doesn't succeed, it's not that bad. The defenders or the goalkeepers can't do that much with it. High risk play certainly works in his position, I would certainly keep that in his game. And yes, Oscar has a higher passing completion, but De Bruyne is obviously a 10 times better passing player than Oscar. Let us all be players that give the easiest 2 metres pass possible, so we can get a pass completion of 98% and that everybody will cheer for our statistics while we bring nothing extra to our team. Yay

In my opinion, BY FAR. Yes For me the Golden Shoe was: 1. Meunier 2. Mpoku 3. Praet But I know that backs can't win that prize, only Kompany did it the last 15 years. I almost never agree with that competition, when Thorgan won last year I also thought that Vainqueur deserved it much more.
-
Praet becomes better every season, so I really trust in this guy, and he is a huge talent. Origi is obviously tired this season, so maybe we have to wait what he will bring the coming seasons indeed. Denayer is at the age of 19 one of the best players in Scotland. And we don't have world class centre backs next to Kompany, so for me it's obvious that we should give a chance to the biggest talent there.
-
At the right back there isn't any problem. Meunier can play there and for me he is by far the best player in the Belgian league. In any average PL team, he will be instantly one of the best players. An excellent modern back. He is strong and wins every duel, he covers a huge distance every game, he is fast, creates danger at the other side every single time he gets the ball, his dribbling is excellent, his passing is excellent, his crosses are excellent. Defensively very good and in an attacking way even better.
-
The potential is huge, but we have to start with a great coach to reach our potential ofcourse. With Wilmots, I don't think we can reach higher than quarter finals at a World Cup. -------------------Courtois--------------------- Meunier-Kompany-Denayer-Vertonghen ----------Nainggolan---------------------------- ------------------------De Bruyne-------------- --------------------Praet------------------------- Mirallas----------Origi----------------Hazard Fantastic team we have. This is an ideal mix of experienced and young players for me.
-
Lol, rejected offers are never ever official news ofcourse. So it is unofficial news from sources inside the clubs like always.
-
I had not seen the conference, so I just copy what the footballnews websites say. And they have changed his words indeed.
-
So he said: "De Bruyne, one of the best young players.". Thanks for the video, it shows that media can change words indeed
-
Mourinho at a press conference: "De Bruyne is one of the best players in the world. And he plays for one of the best national sides of the past decade."
-
Seriously, Oscar works a lot and he is a good player. But we don't need good players in our starting team, we need great players. There is certainly room for improvement at that position.
-
What is the plan with Pogba? Pay 80M for a midfielder that plays at the position of Fabregas or maybe Matic? The only midfield position that can be improved is the AM position of Oscar. I would rather focus on that and a world class centre back, because Cahill is not good enough.
-
PSV knows that he won't sign, they only offer him that contract to be judicial correct.
