  1. This would be best. I think Schweinsteiger could have a Ballack-like impact on the squad; he can be defensive or creative. He would not curtail RLC or Ake's development either due to his age. His lack of pace does not matter, Fabregas and Matic are only slightly quicker. It would give us these options. Matic Schweini Fabregas That can either be a bus breaker or a really balanced midfield, depending on how you instruct Schweinsteiger to play. Probably would be our strongest midfield - its only weakness would be lack of pace. Matic Schweini Schweinsteiger is DLP. Oscar Schweini RLC Schweini holds. RLC b2b, Cesc is 10. Matic can be rested without completely debalancing the mid. Cesc Matic Schweini Would be the most defensive. Willian For me he would be a fantastic signing. Him and Reus.
  2. He played Cech in the COC Final. But like I say, honestly, nobody knows what he will do aside from himself.
  3. I'd imagine that he would go for an HG 3rd striker. As for Cech...well, it's up to him in the end. Who knows? He's first choice in E-2016 anyway, nobody doubts his quality.
  4. IF there is not a revote for 2018 + 2022 then UEFA (and the FA) should boycott it.
  5. Drogba could be replaced by Solanke, making Remy true second choice next season. Cech could be persuaded to stay - he could be a cup keeper, a Barcelona Bravo-Stegen style arrangement. Admittedly it's slightly different because both keepers are world class but I think Cech would love to stay at the club and on a family basis, stay in London. Who knows? Anyway. For me, Schweinsteiger and Reus would be a good summer.
  6. Courtois (Cech cup keeper, Beeney 3rd choice) Ivanovic (Kalas; Azpi) Cahill (Zouma; Kalas) Terry (Kalas; Christensen) Azpi (Ake) Matic (2nd DM; Ake) Cesc (Schweinsteiger; RLC) Reus (Cuadrado; Oscar) Willian (Oscar; Cesc) Hazard (Willian; Cuadrado) Costa (Remy; Solanke/Bamford) Of course, on form Oscar could take Willian's place, or Zouma for Cahill.... etc etc. I agree that Ivanovic will not recieve reduced playing time on the right, however. He's still fantastic in position and when he's told to be a right back version of Dave he can do it happily. The only reason he won't play every minute next season at RB is if we get a huge spate of injuries at centre half or if he is injured, not to mention that in absence of Cech (if he stays) he will be the next captain in line with Terry. Our defence with no modifications is fine for the next season and potentially the season afterwards too, depending on how much longevity Terry has left in him. Schweinsteiger would be a fantastic backup or in a 4-3-3 partner to Cesc, and Bayern seem to be ready to be rid of him.
  7. And old Drogba, at that.I don't think people appreciate just how good the team we have is. Only the 04/05 team was better IMO. Reus in and that team wins the CL for me. Especially since having one of Oscar or Willian on the bench means that our first choice mids can be rested - the lack of serious backup options crippled our season IMO.
  8. And old Drogba, at that. I don't think people appreciate just how good the team we have is. Only the 04/05 team was better IMO. Reus in and that team wins the CL for me.
  9. I'll see what the home shirt looks like on the players before I judge. It could go either way really...
  10. The third kit is awful. The home kit, depending on how quality the collar and material is will range from nice to abysmal, and while I'm not personally a fan of the away, I know many people will be - although it looks like an inverted version of last season's away shirt.
  11. Please remove your head from your arse. Seriously. You hate this club and everything it stands for - for the good of yourself go and support a club you actually like.
  12. ^^Ake could be 2nd LB. I agree with Reus, though. Reus-Willian-Hazard w/ Costa up front would be fucking ruthless
  13. I will be surprised if Cech, Cahill and Drogba don't play
  14. It would be a good move for him to get bigger stronger and upon coming back most likely he will replace Terry. As long as he doesn't become another forgotten man.
  15. Him and Terry would hold their own, it's the tfl wombles they would need to worry about
  16. Then does his own mini parade route on the tube home :delight:
  17. Hardly destroying his own image anyway, merely showing how much he loves our club. IMO this club is quite a personal one. Countless players praise the club and the manager. Cesc until this year was supposed to be a hardened gooner but he already has more of a personal bond with the fans here than he did at Arsenal. Even Zlatan praised Mourinho. And I don't think there has been a game this season which has not sold out, and almost all did not reach the last member tier. They only hate us cos they ain't us.
  18. IF Romeu can reach the height of his performances before his injury then it's a no brainer for me. Big if, though.
  19. IF Traore can get a permit, he'll be here - cover for AM positions. Kalas could come back and provide RB cover, but imo Christensen could do that to a similar level of ability anyway. Or if Terry or Ivanovic gets an injury. From what I've been told, Romeu has no chance unless he recovers from his knee injury. If he can he could take Mikel's place. I honestly hope he does but I just can't see it. Baker could come back if he excels in a good loan, such as maybe a Ligue Un side; see end of next season. If Bamford is happy to come back and be 2nd/3rd choice he will be here. Otherwise a Prem loan.
  20. He won't win Liga. Everybody knows that him and Ancelotti are cup managers. I think, actually, that the last time Rafa won a league title was with Valencia in 2003. To be fair to Perez, though, Atletico Madrid were only a man missing from the post away from winning the CL. Maybe that was a factor, but I doubt somebody could seriously sack someone over a maybe. To those drawing the Abra-Perez comparison, it's different. Perez is merely a chairman, while Abramovich fully owns the club, therefore he can do what he wishes.
  21. Wow. Both Diego and Cesar not called up again. Not that I'm complaining of course...
  22. I honestly believe that he did not think it would damage his Chelsea reputation. Each to their own opinion, though.
  23. Don't really understand why, though. Perez's Real is known to impatient with their managers.
  24. For me, Reus is the only option. Pedro is not good enough for us. Sterling is good but is he better than Traore, or than Boga in a couple of years? Not for me. He won't be staying at Liverpool and I feel he will go to RM when they have their firesale, or City to replace a member of their aging squad. Plus next season Cuadrado will grow into his role. Reus for £50m would be absolutely fantastic value for money. The only other person I would consider if I were Jose would be Robben, but Bayern are not ready to get rid of him yet. Reus/Robben-Willian-Hazard for me is unstoppable. I accept Oscar would go the other way for Reus to come here. Reus-Cesc-Hazard in big games. The further alternative is to put Luis on the right wing. Seriously. I don't know how Atletico used him as a fullback last season because it's like watching Valencia when he plays there for United! Good winger though. Has a good shot on him and as Ivanovic on the right wing produces the crosses for us he can cut in and go into the box.
