  1. Ramires and Wilian coming on for Kenedy and Oscar
  2. that wasn't a block, rakitic sliced it wide as fuck
  3. Ah well, I've pretty much missed it. How's he doing?
  4. 1/2 Arsenal & Chelsea (could finish either way up) 3 United 4 City
  5. MI is gonna be my MLS team, then - I'd support Frankie's but I just can't stand that sky blue carbon copy jersey...
  6. But in the medium term, he is very much here. It's too early to replace him.
  7. Just imagine, if Moses had agreed to a recall we could have saved ourselves £26m...
  8. I think Jose will use Willian in midfield more, personally.
  9. As it stands (ie, not accounting for any future signings) UCL: Win (It will be ugly) COC: Retained FAC: Win Prem: Second, but it will be very close.
  10. I'd like to see Matic-Oscar-Willian as a trio in midfield together - it's possible now that Moses can step in at RW.
  11. I'd rather see a trio of Willian. Oscar, Matic in midfield rather than see Cesc be punished again at #10... The boy is made to play deep, than forward... Otherwise agree. I hope Falcao scores.
  12. To be fair it's asking a lot when you only have 20 minutes to impress, and the service wasn't very good. Positive signs, though.
  13. See the Terry thread for my opinion. But the tldr is that JT had his best season yet last season, he is the best leader of men in the prem, he is showing no signs of decline, and I can't even think of the last time he was the worst player in our games, and that Zouma's physicality and pace and power can and will extend JT's career for at least 2 more years, so buying a new CB is redundant for me. Of course, I do see your point, and it is totally valid, but I just see Happy leaving if Stones joins - I don't think there would be anything more demoralising for a player than doing everything you are tasked upon, stopping the best strikers in the league and then being dropped or loaned out because your club brought an English counterpart.
  14. For me at least it's not the price, it's the fact we don't need another CB. Seeing Zouma's development stunted would be absolutely criminal.
  15. I understand what you're saying - but firstly, as seen previously, putting Zoum Zoum in greatly improves the defence, and secondly, while it's not completely Cahill's fault (he ends up playing 2 positions most of the time), Zouma's pace and power makes him the perfect companion to Terry. Plus, the leadership he gives our back line is invaluable. In.Valuable. On paper, Cahill-Zouma is a fantastic pairing, (2nd best young CB in Europe and England's #1 defender) but in practice, it looks headless and misguided, as both need somebody next to them to tell them what to do - if it were not for the fact that England's defenders are simply awful, Cahill would not look good or even okay. That's why we should keep Terry. It's also why, unless Stones plays next to JT, in which case we're pretty much left in the same situation we have now with Cahill (not pro active), he will be wasted here. Finally, after all, reactive or not, the left flank is not a problem for us, at all. Most of our goals against us are scored from Ivanovic's side. RB should be a priority. Obviously we are not going to find another Dave, but somebody close would be good - however hard, I don't think there is a team in Europe which plays with 2 traditional fullbacks, and we will probably end up being the first, especially if we get somebody like Reus to go on the right wing. Who knows, we might play inverted fullbacks. LB at RB, etc. we should look to get a backup LB like Cresswell too, rather than a CB. Plus I kinda want him to break the appearance record. (fyi, 2 and a half season's worth of games) and also, I think in about that time, Christensen comes back from his Gladbach loan. I have high hopes for the lad. Hopefully we can look closer to home for "JT II".
  16. Don't buy Stones. JT is confident he has 2 years at the top, so is Jose, and there are no signs decline is creeping up, and even if he does, his leadership skills make up for it. Zouma will gain his place over Cahill on merit, and currently, yes he does deserve selection. If anything, JT is still getting better. Last season was one of his best, if not the best, and having Zouma play next to him will extend his career further.
  17. True. I don't expect Azpi to leave LB during this Jose era. We should buy an RB because defending like a CB at RB doesn't always work. Don't know who, though. Bellerin would be good, (retty sure he is an RB) and make up for the fact Cech went to Arsenal a bit.
  18. #WelcomeReusWell, Beasley hasn't said it won't happen yet... ?
