Yeah he should supplement as opposed to replace Diego, who also still has lots to give for the team. We could trade Oscar in for him, perhaps. However, it would be at the expense of Cesc and putting in somebody like Pasalic next to Matic to shore up the more empty midfield, and in tougher games playing orthodox fullbacks (ie x RB and Dave on the left) I'd cough up for him though. A deadly finisher is just what we need. However unless Pasalic comes with him I'd wait for the summer, Ramires won't be able to cut it imo especially having to carry the ball up the field more.

Xavi is the equivalent of John Terry in terms of coming through the academy. Messi is a freak of nature and Barcelona acquired him illegally so does not count. Therefore we have 1/3 of the output in recent times of La Masia of top products (terry : Xavi, Busquets, Thiago) I don't know enough about Bayern to comment on them.

Loyalty is a powerful thing. I know you lost hope with Jose after the Ivanovic saga and I'm running low on patience now too after he benched Azpi and fielded our two worst fullbacks, and didn't play Kenedy despite the great shifts he puts in week in week out - I expect him to play today. However, I do think Jose can turn things around still, despite contrary evidence. And that's a statement, we've debated this enough times already, we will bring in a striker in January and with somebody that can finish the many chances we create we'll save our season.

I agree with whoever said we look leaderless without JT - e would never have conceded that goal against Bournemouth with him there. This is why we will not be seeing the back of him for a very long time, and unless we see and influx of senior players who are known leaders we will have to protect him and play Zouma next to him to be his pace - not to mention it benefits Zoum's development playing next to him week in and week out.
