Ossie's response basically satisfies what I was going to say. Jose is a huge part of our club and its character and many of us won't forget that on Saturday if the players suddenly come out of the woodwork and perform.
-
Idiots. Atmosphere next Saturday will be fucking choking, lots of booing; lots of Mou chants; probably irrational but considering who Jose is to this club completely understandable, whereas nearly all of the players couldn't care less at the end of the day. Many will be booed, completely deservedly - the players can't win whether they perform well or badly now. I'm still disgusted. Fucking vilified even, because it should be on the players, but no we took the easy way out and got rid of the manager instead. He oozes blue, unless we appoint a former player no other manager will come close to that and even then not to the same skillset as Mourinho and quite frankly we're rotten to the core as a club now, just another plastic facade with no identity. Chrismada9; exactly what I feel, cheers for the video.

Well, fuck off and celebrate then. You know who you are, fuck off down the pub and have a few pints I can't believe the club have sacked him. Players' fault, if they suddenly play brilliantly on saturday I'll certainly make my feelings heard
-
Congratulations.

Because that's short termism and we're running out of managers; plus the match day fans (myself included) still love Mourinho; unless it's someone previously connected to the club like Di Matteo or Zola I honestly think the fans will revolt, the atmosphere will become toxic and if it emerges that the players forced him out there will be revolt, there is no desire at all from the stands to sack him, Roman knows it because he hears the name sung every Saturday from his box. All I can say is that be careful what you wish for. Sacking a fan favourite will not go down well with anybody. It's also another reason why Mourinho will not drop John Terry, the one thing fans will not take is dropping the heart and soul of the club and possibly the best player we've seen in the shirt in times like this. Jose needs stability, lieutenants he can trust (yes, that's why Iva still gets his spot on he team) because it seems like the dressing room is cracking at the seams and he needs glue to hold it together.

JT against Porto was fantastic so one bad game is forgivable. Cesc didn't play (but this is just the game that Cescy should be playing; low pressure, bus parker teams) and Hazard didn't do anything notable I think. So that's my logic in it. Now I think about it I might put Pedro in instead
-
Hahaha I said as much at the end. If we are to get Griezmann it will be in January; it's rumoured there's an incoming transfer ban for Atletico so it's now or never Whether we want DL or not is how well Pasalic performs really. And as for Reus, only if Hazard is sold do we need to pursue him.
-
Need you to start firing, Eden. One more chance.
-
Courtois Azpi Zouma JT Kenedy Cesc Matic Willian RLC Pedro Remy Cesc had a good performance last match and against Sunderland he will not be pressed often. Not sure if I'd prefer to see Hazard or Costa dropped more, really. I think he deserves one last chance to stand up and be counted.
-
Fabregas RLC midfield...I can't think of much worse. Would prefer Ramires-RLC.
-
In my opinion, the players should man the fuck up and play, if it is a player manager disconnect then if they don't want to play for Jose then do it for the fans. Cunts.
-
The club's attitude is clear; they want him to stay. If he gets sacked I will be VERY surprised
-
:D made me chuckle. I just don't see how sacking Jose will remedy the situation, at all, unless this whole crisis is just a dressing room disconnect, which I don't think it is. Players just look unmotivated and unbothered; and if Jose can't solve that then nobody can. I'd rather play Lamps in midfield; at least he'll give a fuck and pick out a few passes. What frustrates me most are the false starts; the 0-0 with Tottenham, the 2-0 against Arsenal, the 2-0 against Porto. False hope.

I think it'll be different, but we'll see.

OUT IN JANAUARY: Oscar Ramires Falcao IN: Pasalic Griezmann OUT IN SUMMER: Hazard (possibly - the money may be needed to rebuild the squad; still not sure however) Mikel One of Remy or Costa - depending on the rest of DC's season. Ivanovic - unless his form completely recovers Fabregas IN: RLC fully takes Cesc's place Reus (if Hazard is sold) David Luiz or Axel Witsel, depending if we want a bench option for Matic or if we want somebody to play next to Matic. Christensen A senior striker to act as 3rd choice An academy product to occupy the 2nd choice LW position. Colkett to take next season's "RLC role" -------------------- Jury's still out on Baba. I actually prefer Kenedy in that position from the little I've seen of him there; but I've certainly not made my mind up; Leaving us with Courtois Azpi/Christensen Zouma/Cahill JT/Christensen Kenedy (Baba)/Azpi Pasalic/RLC/Colks Matic/Witsel/Pasalic Willian/Kenedy Hazard (Reus)/Musonda or Boga Griezmann/Musonda Costa(Remy)/senior striker Smaller games - Azpi and Kenedy fullbacks; whereas in harder games Christensen-Azpi can be used. Cahill-Christensen becomes the second choice CB pairing to Zouma and JT. Either we utilise Pasalic or we buy David Luiz back from PSG; that 13/14 pivot is just what we need right now. Anyway, time to wake up I think!

All comes down to whether you blame the players or the manager for the crisis. To me it sounds like the players just haven't listened to Jose; slacked off and he's finally had enough of it (he's taken the hit for them so far this season). I'll be interested to see the lineup next Saturday; I'd imagine his position on January buying is rapidly changing too. Who knows? I understand if he's fired but I still don't agree with it personally. It's not down to the manager when they can't even string passes together, let alone try to play attacking football.
-
Costa actually looked ok yesterday. Needs striking support up top - 4-4-2; short term Remy long term Griezzy.I also wouldn't be too annoyed if Iva starts; he's ridden out his worst form and despite losing a yard in fairness to him for the first time I have to say it was JT and Azpi's side letting in the goals. I would prefer to see Iva and Kenedy as fullbacks.
-
The boss seems to be viewed here as incompetent and along for the ride rather than making conscious decisions. If you were to listen to him in last night's post match PC and what he had to say other than using misquotes of what he said as a stick to beat him with it would be realised that the exact goals we conceded on we worked on in training; that was why he said 'betrayal' (I think he was hindered by a language barrier there) when his players had failed to listen to the instructions he had hammered in over training. The reality is that attacking football is demanded but yet most of the players cannot string passes together; this is why Jose is not playing attacking football because we've not been good enough to do it. The most common passing combination was probably between John Terry and Zouma in the first half. He also, interestingly, said that he's picking players that we criticise because they perform so well in training. Acknowledged our goals problem, this is why he will buy in January if he possibly can. The reality is that we simply don't have enough information to comprehensively blame one group. However as Carragher sad last night, Roman does and he'll have to make a decision on who to side with and there may well be some mass expulsions in the summer. If Roman tells Jose he has his backing and the player-manager relationship is broken then I agree with a previous poster that he will just play the youth. Sometimes I honestly think those who do not agree with Mourinho have their rhetoric copied in, ready to post whenever we lose. Excalibur has not stopped posting since we lost. Fair enough I guess; but your view in the whole Chelsea fanbase is a minority one; if you read what's been said here you would think that the fans want to crucify him. And yes, I blame the players almost solely for this crisis. None have been good enough other than Courtois, Begovic, Zzouma and Willian.
-
He said 'either I have taken them to a level which they cannot stay at or they are underperforming'! He's said wrong things in the past but theres nothing conteoversial about that
-
Taken highly out of context and you know it; fucking shameful.
-
that really hurt
-
I hope Jose brought a cane with him to the dressing room - nearly all of them need lashing. If they're happy to let us have width then put Kenedy or Baba at LB and move Azpi over. Need another target in the box over than Costa.
-
If I had it my way he would play next to Diego as a second striker.
-
We will need to match their pace with pace. Therefore other than JT and Matic all of the players that I can think of will play - Ramires, Zouma, Baba, Willian, Hazard et al are going to be quick. As long as Fabregas does not play I believe we will turn them over. Now that we've relearned how to defend I reckon we're going to win. As for the season, if we win the CL then we could finish 17th and 1 point off relegation for all I care, a CL season is a good season. Domestic form becomes irrelevant at that stage. Especially if we take the FA cup too.
-
Because he's a striker, not an AM.
