You were up there? What was that about, saw it from below in the lower section and a load of people standing up and doing wanker signs lol
-
It's a different way of looking at things online; if you were a neutral and you read the Mourinho thread you'd think he's some kind of bastardised version of the fat spanish waiter with no knowledge of football and who hates the fans. However I have never, ever seen such views from actual match going fans. It's a strange contrast. Might have a little sing song of Magic Hat against Watford, I actually like Cesc; a true professional and I think the irony is that he really appreciated Jose. Deserves a break from the fans.
-
Yeah it offers a change to raw counter attacking, can be a valuable asset.
-
Might give Cesc a little support, he's taken his criticism well as opposed to throwing his toys out the pram a la Diego Costa and played his part yesterday, deserves a break imo.
-
Unsung hero of yesterday. Really impressed with his effort.

Wind it in mate it's a hastily constructed poster and I'm fairly sure illiteracy is not grounds for exclusion from being a fan...

Pep Guardiola To Manage Manchester City
CurlyHairLikeLuiz replied to Darogba's topic in Football Chat
I want Simeone 'cos he's a winner. Couldn't give less of a shit about tippy tappy football anyway, I think it's pedantic and whenever I think of the idea I think of Willian, Oscar and Hazard all tapping it around the box because they don't want t take responsibility and shoot. I prefer counter attacking and Simeone suits me down to the ground. Plus he would like to come here, no hassle bribing Pep... And I want passion. Can't really see Pep putting that in to be honest, he'd only come here for the money. -
Pretty much. See Man Utd, booed their whole team off for the second consecutive match. We've been far shitter than that but it only took the sacking to finally release some anger. Next match will be far more unified - although the Jose chants will probably stay a little longer.
-
Ranieri's very first season I believe. I could of course be completely wrong but that's my memory for you!
-
Yeah I understand why he sacked him. I just don't agree with the circumstances; for me the players should be held accountable and it really winds me up that a fan favourite has to be sacked to appease mercenary players. Anyway, let's not go down that road again.
-
I was thinking in the wrong time period. It was a demand issued by the board; before the time of Roman however. Probably should edit that post.
-
Then I'm an idiot, haha. I was thinking on the right tracks, it must have been a Bates dictat.
-
He wanted to reduce the average age of the squad. I think Wisey was on the wrong side of 30 by this time, so the decision was made. On the bright side I think this drive brought us Gudjohnsen and quite a few other players who would become key in the Jose era.
-
"Retarded" is not a nice phrase, please do not use it. Somebody compared us to Nazis earlier, that must've slipped through the mods' fingers. As for Roman? I've had 12 years to accept the club is Roman's plaything (When he ordered Ranieri to get rid of fan favourites like Zola and Wisey (<----------YES THAT'S WRONG I AM THINKING OF THE BATES YEARS), sacked RDM a month after winning the CL, injected money into an ageing squad, sacked Ranieri after a "poor" CL showing, brought Jose to the club which turned out to be a key point in the club's history and we would not be having this conversation if not for him etc etc); it has its pros and cons and at the end of the day without him we'd be deep in it; I think Batesy was selling and we were very nearly bust in '03, now we would probably not have a ground, let alone expanding it.
-
At the end of the day if you don't want to play for the manager then you play for the fans. You may hate your boss at work but I'm fairly sure you don't deliberately be shit for 6 months to get him sacked - you get sacked. Jose is a fan favourite, turning on him was never going to be a popular decision.
-
Google would really find value in employing you mate
-
If you feel like having this circular argument again can you do it with yourself please; I've had quite enough of it.
-
At the end of the day it comes down to consistency. If he can play like this for an extended period of time, then he's worth it, great player - however if he's lukewarm again against Watford then he's bang average. If not then replace him with Griezmann.
-
I want to see what Guus picks. By the way, how many people will be prepared to admit that Iva and Azpi are our best fullbacks if 3 different managers pick them consistently? Might give Cescy some sympathy cheers next match, feel bad for the lad.
-
Pretty much this
-
Sigh. Last season seems like a lifetime away.
-
Good luck Guus. Time to move on; I'm not as upset after I've had a good sing song!
-
I actually like the geezer; such a shame he's been shit for the calendar year....
-
I actually feel a little sorry for him, genuinely think he was not implicated in any of this (he's just been bad) but hey-ho, sometimes you get dealt a shit hand.
