The manager can only do so much. At some point it falls on the players shoulders. Cesc has been pitiful. Matic is unrecognizable. So the middle of our team has been gutted which puts more pressure on everyone else. Then everyone on this forum is pissing and moaning about Ivan which is fair. But did it ever occur that he might truly be the best option (as scary as that sounds)? Baba has hardly looked convincing in his few appearances. We had a whole transfer window to strengthen the team and did almost nothing. Fairly confident that if Jose had carte blance he would've brought more players in...so not sure he's entirely to blame here.

Was a valuable asset last season and now...? Shocking this term tbh. Those brilliant passes are gone and his defense is abysmal at best. Honestly not even sure what to do here.

Loads of talent no doubt. Can't stand how much he flops/dives all match. Softest touch and reacts like a sniper took him out.

I'm not negative TalkChelsea forum guy, but he's been miserable this year. I mean, not even a fraction of the player he was last year. Starting on reputation alone at this point.

Off the top of my head game one v Burnley and then against Loserpool when Can scored first. My memory isn't what it used to be either though.

Last year is not this year, obviously. But a couple points of note: 1. When we fell behind last season I never once felt like we couldn't come back. Grabbing a point today felt like a gd miracle! 2. Where are all the fouls Eden used to draw? Seemed like he was constantly on the turf, driving at defenders and forcing them to make a decision. Inside the box and out. Need more of that.

We looked awful for much of the game, rescuing a point is huge to be honest. I'm still amazed.

In all seriousness what the hell happened to Cesc? Guy has been an absolute joke this year.

Ivan, Cesc and Hazard all looked better today. Very encouraging. Squad looked dangerous offensively even before the sending offs.

Lot of pretty good performances today. That said, very weak competition. Nice to see all our domestic rivals lose, hope their groups continue to put them under pressure. Can only help us in the league.

First game and definitely needs time to grow into the team. But thought he seemed a bit shaky defensively against a poor side.

First Citeh and then United? Love it. Hope we start playing better ourselves so I can truly enjoy these things.

Think we can maybe get Remy on the pitch at some point?
