I fully agree with you to an extent. If there ever is a point where we look like we're not going to get top four then we have to sack Lampard. Top four is crucial this season. Rightfully so, getting CL football next season is vital for the development of these new players. If Lampard looks like he's not even going to make that then he needs to be sacked regardless of his legendary status.

What annoys me the most is that the league is there for the taking with Liverpools injury problems. I had high hopes for the season, but with Lampard as our manager we will definitely not challenge for the title. I truly believe that we might even struggle to get top four, which is unacceptable to be honest. What should be done? Do you want Lampard to be sacked if he drops more than 12 points in the next 8 games? Or do you accept the fact that we will struggle this season with him as a manager and we might not even get CL football next season? I'm very conflicted about this, but out of respect of what he has done for CFC, I say to give him this season to prove himself. If however at some point it looks hard for us to make top four, then he must be sacked though. The talent this team has deserves CL football next season.

I just wish our fans don't behave like Arsenal fans when it comes to criticising a manager. Remember when Wenger was managing them? Some fans were blindly supporting him while he was horrible at the latter part of his career. Use your logic instead of bias because you loved Lamps as a Chelsea player.
-
For people saying that Lampard is not to blame at all, you lot are extremely deluded and are very biased just because he is a Chelsea legend. #1 He started Mount on the LW instead of Pulisic. You could even argue that Hudson Odoi who is a natural winger should've started instead of Mount. #2 He gave Kepa another chance to fuck our whole game up. #3 Instead of us pressuring Southampton Lampard tasked our squad to literally stay back and defend. Which invited Southampton to attack, which eventually led to us conceding three goals. #4 He hasn't improved tactically whatsoever in the last 12 months. Our team literally can't play out from the back. Whenever we get pressed we look completely useless. Look I'm not putting all the blame on Lampard it was individual mistakes which led to goals, but you have to look at the manager as well. Look at teams like Leeds, Everton etc. Their team don't have the quality our team possesses but they still perform much better. Why? Because they have world class managers.
-
They dominated second half. But the reason was due to the pressure we put on ourself after the error. Which as always gonna happen. We can't be making those errors at this level. Havertz will learn and kepa hopefully won't play for us again You sound like an Arsenal fan when Wenger was still managing them. It's very worrying to see this. This is Chelsea football club, stuff like this is not allowed to happen especially when we spent so much money. No more excuses.

Don't blame Kepa, blame Lampard for being a fucking idiot by starting him.
-
Why are we in our own half ffs! No pressure
-
Why aren't we pressing them? You'd think that we are the midtable team. Lampard needs to tell the lads to go for the fourth goal instead we are inviting them to attack. It's mindboggling.
-
If Pulisic comes off for Ziyech then we need to start worrying about Mount being in the first XI.
-
Thank goodness
-
Have we not played amazing barring kais error though? Sure pulisic best position is left wing. But why are people nit picking. We don't have an issue offensively with this team. If we took our chances we could have been 4 nil up at half time We're playing good attacking wise but with Pulisic playing at his best position we would play even better. I don't have any complaints but I do criticise something that doesn't make sense to me. Either you don't rate Pulisic or don't realise what kind of an impact he could have on the leftside.
-
But we've looked amazing still. Best by far this season... I don't think it matters which side pulisic is on. When ziyech comes on I'd hope pulisic switches over as ziyech will be great on the right Bertrand is more of an attacking threat than Walker-Peters. That's why we're not seeing Pulisic attack but defend most of the time. If he played on the left he would have more freedom to attack. That's why Pulisic would have a field day on the left handside because that's where we were having the most success.
-
Amazing half despite the goal. Werner is world class and he finally showed it in Chelsea colours. The only thing that confuses me is Mount playing at Pulisic's position. Pulisic should be playing on the left.
-
Finishing first or second doesn't mean anything because we eventually will be facing the best sides of Europe if we qualify for the knockout stages. Whether it's the first game of the knockout stage or last game. With PL on the other hand we're known to drop a lot of points with Christensen playing at CB. It's vital for us to get the three points this weekend when all the big teams are playing against eachother.
-
If he plays against Sevilla will he be fit enough for the Man UTD game? According to you he's 36 and can't play every match so I'm wondering what's more important for you PL games or CL games? We got the easiest group apart from Sevilla so I see no reason why we have to rest players for CL games. I would rather have Silva start now, then rest for the Sevilla game, and afterwards start against Man UTD.
-
I knew you were going to come up with that argument. Silva being 36, doesn't justify the choice of not starting him because he travelled from South America to the UK 2 days ago. Lampard is too cautious when it comes to selecting players, we've seen a lot of that last season as well. Are you telling me that Mourinho would bench his best defender just because he travelled to South America? What a joke.
-
Didn't he came back from Morocco last week? I swear he was training for atleast a week. It doesn't make sense to me at this point. Lampard is too cautious, just start your best XI ffs.
-
He played on Wednesday and we're playing on Saturday. Surely he could've been at Cobham on Thursday and be fit enough to start?
-
Why can't Silva play? Lampard is making the same mistake smh. He rested Zouma for the Spurs game and look how that worked out. Now he's resting Silva for the Sevilla game. We'll see what happens but I 100% disagree with his decision-making this time. He literally can't keep the same squad for 2 games, things always have to be changed.
-
I pray that this is precautionary. We desperately need him next week against Sevilla and Man UTD.
-
We desperately need a LB backup in January. Alonso and Emerson are simply not good enough. Hopefully the club see this and decide to invest.
-
He's not injured, I assume that it's just a precaution so that he can play on Saturday.
-
Beautiful news, does this mean that he can feature against Southampton?
