My god, please no! He is 30 years old and therefore just what we need . Besides, he isn't that much of an exceptional player, rather have some of our youths fill that position, probably have the same amount or even more quality .

Sturridge seems to get on with everyone, must be due to his dancing moves :eyebrows:
-
I would LOVE to have Voronin instead of Drogba to be honest ! Lucas in for Essien, and Treble here we come!

God, i would love to see us lift that cursed throphy one day. Everyone saying that the CL-games require less consistency are right, but that is EXACTLY what makes it that exciting to wacht. Both teams always have a chance to progress to the next round. And what is more entertaining to watch than a team fighting for a result, in wich every decission and every goal has a direct influence on the result?

--------- Did you guys hear? Ancelotti is also leaving us (due to a poll on his personal website)! :getyou:
-
I hope you do understand this doesn't sound really logical for the rest of us ? Maybe these players were good in other European competitions, but that's exactly the reason why they fail in England, because the speed of the game is even higher.

1. Our fans singing during the final minutes of the City game at The Bridge was great. Proper support, through good times and the bad. 2. The season opening game against Hull, with Drogba's injury-time winner! It already felt like we lost the game at that moment, while we were the far superior side the whole game. So sweet. 3. Lampard missing two penalty kicks these season. It wasn't something i blamed him for (still has an amazing track record), but i was really surprised to see him miss a penalty kick. Not a big positive or negative (although the penalty miss against City was bad timing), but still something remarkable for me. 4. To see 4 academy players make their debut (Kakuta, Bruma, Van Aanholt and Borini). 5. Ofcourse our 100% record against the big-4 .

Juliaanooo Belettiiii, Juliaaanooo Bellettii Always liked him, going to miss him too in a certain way:worship: I hope he can enjoy his retirement

Not pleased about it, but it really looks like it's going to happen

If we become champions next year in a convincing way, we will also have a good chance of playing at Wembley in the CL-final! But, first things first lads
-
Okay, Kaka stands for; - More idiot wages - Another ageing player at Chelsea - A player that probably doesn't live up to the expectations while he cost us a shitload of money (think of Sheva) - Maybe loose A. Cole to Real Madrid if we buy him - Hasn't done anything special since his 06/07 season at Milan, didn't get why Real payed so much money for him in the first place; why would we be so stupid to do the same? So, sign him up Carlo!!!!

:541:, don't be too fast with your conclusions . Pretty good defender, have to wait and see if he can match the level and speed of the game here.

It's a nice goal to set, but that's going to be very difficult. To win the CL you always need to have a fair amount of luck (aka penaltyslip-ups and referee's etc), so maybe it could be ours. CL final this year is in the Bernabeu, and Real didn't make it, despite they really wanted to play a 'home' final. We have a good record at wembley, but it doesn't say much in a competition like the CL, because you first have to get there. Besides all other English teams would also like to play there i guess . Chelsea vs Tottenham final, easy win . Not saying it is impossible, but it certainly isn't going to be easy.

Nice one!

We already have problems with even building a new stadium, let alone a 80000-seater. But who knows, in the future, if Roman wants to pay for it
-
When reading the Roman Abramovich thread on here, i began to think about different kinds of ownership. And i wondered what you guys do prefer most. Because almost all people on here seem to be glad with the current ownership of Roman, including myself. Because he really seems to care and doesn't use the club as a toy to show off in front of his friends. However, what if Roman does leave at a certain moment for a certain reason. What would you guys prefer for the new ownership? 1. An investment group (Manchester City), not only wanting to bring 'succes' to the club, but also looking for profits were possible (Manchester United, although in this case it is a family!) 2. A system with multiple big share holders and a gentlemen's agreement between them, not to sell their shares. So the club remains 'theirs', aka a safe and steady (but greedy) ownership (Arsenal) 3. Individual ownership (Chelsea) or duo ownership (Liverpool). With the risk that the club is fully dependent of the preferences on players, transferpolicy and using the money the club generates, of the owners! (4.) The club is 'property' of the fans. Wich means the club doesn't have any shares to sell, and has to make the profits on its own. I honestly think this is barely possible anymore, although it would be a great idea to really bring back the club to the fans!

Lol, like that does mean anything
-
This season against Manchester City
-
Lol, you probably mean the FA Cup ^^. Really liked the shirts in the flesh though!

I honestly think Ancelotti wasn't really bothered about what Hiddink did or didn't do with Chelsea. And about the championship; Malouda, Ivanovic, Anelka and Drogba (a.k.a all the players you mention), have all played a pretty big part in our title race didn't they?
