  1. Just wrap up the deal before he scores more..
  2. Doubt we'll see him start against WBA, but hell I'll be positive!
  3. If Pedro does get registered today and is available for selection for WBA game, how many minutes are we expecting? Surely not more than 25-30?
  4. Sorry, but I have to disagree with you. Getting those players mean we will probably be challenging for the PL title again, but where does that leave us for CL title? Yeah, in transition. We already have a good balance of age in our squad. Courtois, Hazard and Oscar are almost at the age where they would start peaking. Costa, Azpilicueta, Matic, Willian are at a very good age. We have experience too, especially of winning the CL with Cahill, Ivanovic, Terry, Fabregas and now Pedro. As for the young guns, Zouma and Baba are one of the most highly rated defenders out there. Someone good and young at CB (Stones?) and we're all good for the defence in the future too. You need players with experience who have won the Big Ears. All the players look towards them and are very comfortable when there are a few winners who have went all the way to win it.
  5. We don't really need BOTH Isco and Witsel.
  6. For those that think Pedro didn't reject United and LvG pulled out of it, here are a few facts. Woodward indeed went to Spain to finalize a deal for Pedro a few days back. Pedro wasn't sure of joining a side managed by LvG. It also seems too good to be co-incidental that the announcement that United aren't interested in signing Pedro anymore came right after news of him having a medical at Chelsea today. It's obvious to me that LvG is just trying to save his face by announcing he isn't interested in signing Pedro, after being linked with him for the best part of the month and Woodward going to Spain actually proves him wrong. Here are further links for reference. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/14/louis-van-gaal-pedro-manchester-united http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/17/manchester-united-pedro-barcelona-ed-woodward
  7. You never know what might happen. Ever thought Benitez would manage us or Fabregas would join us in the past?
  8. André Schürrle’s advisor Ingo Haspel is at Wolfsburg’s headquarters and has told Sky Sports Germany he had given himself a deadline of 11am to conclude the deal. It’s 11am now so expect something imminently. I guess Schurrle's off any moment now, and Cuadrado's announcement shall follow shortly.
  9. If Mata was the Special Juan, then Cuadrado to be the Chosen Juan?
  10. Guys.. The Milan Channel - AC Milan's official television station - is reporting tonight that Fernando Torres will arrive in Italy on Saturday morning to undergo a medical with the Rossoneri. It's claimed that the 30-year-old has agreed to the transfer, and has waived a payout he was owed by Chelsea in order to push it through..I love this guy..
  11. Here you go, as promised. It's 0.95 goals per 90. Here are the stats in this article. http://chelseaindex.com/1129/by-the-numbers-what-to-make-of-mattia-destro.html
  12. I couldn't find the source where I read about Destro scoring 0.95 goals per game. And on Whoscored, it doesn't look like it was 0.95. 15(5) appearances, scored 13 and assisted 1 in the league. That's pretty good. Apologies for the 0.95 goals per game stat. If I do find the source, I'll post it first thing. Cheers.
  13. I think i read it on here only. I can't vouch for it, but I'll try and search it for you here. And I'll try to look up on WhoScored too.
  14. 20 million pound does sound too much for a year. It would be at par with a 100-million pounds signing who has signed a contract for 5 years financially. So I am with you on that. All I am saying is Destro might still not be the answers to our problems. Though Mourinho likes him, and who am I to doubt him?
  15. Nice comment there. Though when i think about Destro, frankly, I never heard his name before we got linked with him. I am not sure how he plays, the stats look very good, 0.95 goals per game without any penalties? Is it? Sounds pretty good, though we have seen how the strikers from Italy play in the Premier League. Shevchenko comes to mind instantly. We can say that Falcao is better than Destro atm, though I trust Mourinho, he knows what he's doing. If he's selling Torres, then he already has someone in his mind lined up.
  16. I'd like that, but I don't think DD would be able to play more than one half, I really hope he does though. We can also try Schurrle at the front if it really is a problem. Or Torres could still be here.
  17. I don't care if we look like PSG or not. We are in profits if we look at our summer dealings. As long as we get goalscorers who are proven, it does not matter to me. Though a 20 million loan sounds like a little too much, it won't be a big hit financially, especially with Torres leaving (looks like it) now.
  18. I think I'd love it if we signed Bony, though we aren't linked with him yet. Proven in EPL and has the Vittese connection. Also is an Ivorian like Drogba.
  19. Fabregaaaaaas!!!! Free kick taker finally!
  20. It was being reported by Sky Sports in it's Transfer Center early in the morning today. Guess they might just be highlighting rumours in other papers in the morning.
  21. Atletico Madrid are dominating the headlines both in England and Spain. Contrasting reports about centre-half Miranda with reports claiming both Manchester United and Barcelona have stepped up an interest. With Diego Costa and Felipe Luis looking Chelsea bound, reports claim that Roberto Soldado and Guilherme Siqueira are their preferred options to replace them.

  23. I frankly don't see this happening. We are pretty strong in that area (AMs) and we don't need to spend there. We, and I'm sure, the officials at Chelsea, know where we have to strengthen. A striker (Costa seems like a done deal), a CM (Chelsea really need to work a lot here), and a Left back (Azpi on right, 3 CBS in Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill and Zouma/Kalas and the incoming Left back)
