Which Willian does as well as defend. Not to the level of Mata of course, but for Jose, a player that gives 70 attacking effort and 30 defending effort is better than a player that gives 90 attacking effort and 10 defending effort.

Who knows. You can't compare two different teams in two completely different leagues. What you can do is say that Schurrle wasn't starting here, and he's not starting at Wolfsburg, so the only consistency is that he's not a reliable starter. Besides, if you do that comparison, let's just sell everyone and buy West Brom's lineup. They'll be cheaper, and they're higher in the table, so they must be better players. Our players are better. They're just not playing it now. Form is temporary, talent is permanent and all that.

Under RDM, they all played together. Mata is playing wing at United. Mata-Oscar-Hazard would have worked, but Willian was a lot better defensively than Mata.

Schurrle isn't doing well at Wolfsburg. If he's sitting on their bench, there's no way he plays here.

I'm confused what you're talking about. Are you saying that Jose chose between Oscar and Mata and chose Oscar? I don't think that's the case. He didn't need to. Oscar, Mata and Hazard all played together. Fabregas, on the other hand, came in the next transfer window after Mata was sold. I think that's more feasible.

Oscar came in 2012, and Mata went out in 2014.

You give the papers a story by benching him, but if you play him and we lose, you're giving the papers a story as well.

It's hard. He's a great player when he's playing like normal, but he's been pedestrian the entire season.

No, people will find a fault in something. No team can be perfect top-down for a full 90 minutes, and the state that we're in, people are going to find ways to work the argument in their favor. Unrelated to Stamford Bridge, but the NFL just agreed to play a minimum of 3 games a season at Twickenham starting in 2016. I'm sure that will get the Rugby-only people upset. It also shows that Twickenham won't refuse everything that isn't rugby.

If we have to win 23 out of the remaining 27, why get rid of him? If it's not possible, then just accept this season and move on in the summer.

I don't know how the law works elsewhere, but in the US, it's really hard to get a solid conviction, especially if there is no sign of force, the victim went somewhere willingly or invited the person back to their own home. The burden of proof is on the accuser, and it's hard to prove sexual assault in a lot of cases. Especially when players get some of the top legal representation.

He was arrested but not charged. It could turn out to be the same for Piazon.
