  1. In simple straight term yes if you just look from outside it is a failure of a season, a complete one because we ended up with nothing. But you can't just do that, the hardcore fans would really know there are things good here that will help the future too and was developed over this season. Hazard went from a great to a world class player under Mou, Dave went from a good RB to one of the best fullback in the league now. Oscar also stepped up at the start too albeit now he is a bit off form.
  2. Oh right I see yep that is true but tbf it is not the nerve that got better of us but more like individual mistakes. Eto'o doesn't lacking experience, he won 3 CL with 2 different teams and he should know better than to take down a striker in the box, seeing as he probably been done the same to many time over the least 14 years. But yh I agree some young players will grow from this experience but it is not like we lack that either with Terry, Cole...etc. Overall the main reason we lost imo is simply because they are the better team, yes the better team.
  3. That is because we have been too one dimensional like you said at the end, a bit like Bayern except their passing style instead of counter attacking. We need to be able to play like Man City at home where we just go all out attack instead of just always play a bit safe and never go for the juggernaut.
  4. Best GK in the world, yes THE BEST GK IN THE WORLD AT THE MOMENT.
  5. The lesson is that never ever aim for a 0-0 even away from home, especially in a CL knock out tie. What other lessons are there to be learn? 2 of the goals were Hazard's fault then when they hit it across nothing could have been done. For example Turan header and then that Adrian shot where I think Terry and Cahill tried to intercept the pass to him unsuccessfully. Even better if we had Courtois imo, he is now the best GK in the world for me ahead of Neuer who is now too cocky.
  6. Naaa I think they were the better side, comprehensively outplayed us. I am sure the majority are disappointed too leading to a little bit of knee jerking reactions but they will regain their senses soon.
  7. If that comment is true I can actually see him off to PSG/Real for real next season. Jose won't have that here and rightly too. Tbf tonight loss was mostly his fault with his lack of concentration in 2 of their goals. Then there is that constant flirt with PSG and the dream of Madrid idea. This is why he was never really gonna become a legend here but just merely a great player we have and having the pleasure of witnessing in our shirt. I hope I am wrong and he gets even better next season but it could also be down from here for him at Chelsea too.
  8. Actually it was as stone wall as it could have been mate, I am really disappointed too but no need to be ashamed that we just been beaten by a better side.
  9. OK it is the proper goodbye he did for us. Yes he has been shit for 80% of the whole time here but you can't fault him today. Hope he have success with Atletico next season and have a great season with them. He will leave now so you all can stop abusing him.
  10. I think this CL season proved that sometime YOU HAVE TO CHANGE TO SURVIVE. Pep with his tiki-taka dominated Europe from 08-11 but now getting raped like Bara did last season. Jose is a great manager, one of the best there is in the world atm, but he also need to change his approach. Sometime too cautious WILL COST YOU as we seen with this tie with Madrid. If we have gone for an away goal in the 1st leg we might have lost but we could have also give ourselves a better chance today imo. Last year he tried it with Real too but got destroyed by Dortmund in the 1st leg and ultimately losing it. So once he learns from his mistake and change a little bit next season, we will be a great force again that teams will fear.
  11. Please don't tell me you guys hate him now because he scored that pen and knocked us out? HE IS THE EXACT PLAYER WE NEED. You see he worked his socks off and actually a really clever player(sometime too clever turning into a little bit of a prick) but overall he is a great striker and one which can help us do what Atletico Madrid is doing this season.
  12. Overall if you look on the ambition and expectations side it is a failure. But if we are looking at this as a 'transitional' season(the word everyone love) it is a massive success. We have gone from CL spot battling teams to champion fighting team again under Jose. We also got the semi final of an incredibly hard CL(top 8 team were all the best in Europe bar maybe MU at the time). So in that sense it is a success. Saying that if we repeat a season like this again next year with Diego Costa/Cavani/Mandzukic or whoever top class striker leading us Jose will probably be sacked/resign at the end. Next year we go again, we can do it next time around and we will surely have a better season in BPL too even though this one was quite good.
