This is from his recent interview in brazil,Some points: - He was rejected by many clubs as a kid - He was offered a contract nearly 2000kms away in Vitoria (Bahia I think) - His parents supported him all the way and were both teachers, still a very poor background - Then Benfica took him on loan for 6 months and was told if he impressed there, then they would keep him - It all started very badly but by the end of it, he impressed all and was given 5 year contract. - Was the most happiest person when Chelsea bought him (a dream come true). His dad lives in Brazil and I think his mum lives with him here. - Then talks about Champions League final: - Said he was still in so much pain the day before the final - He wanted to play no matter what, he said he'd been through bigger pain in life to get to this stage - Says RDM came over to his room in the hotel in the evening and said 'are you sure you can play tommorow'? He responded 'Yes no problem, I'm ready'. RDM asked him many times. - Then Luiz bumped into Roman in the hotel lobby or restuarant same evening and he came over to Luiz. He asked 'Luiz how are you feeling', 'are you ok to play'? Again he gave same answer. - Then he confirms he felt a lot of pain during the match but wanted to go on until the end. - Reporter asked whether he felt any pressure before taking the crucial penalty? He said 'what pressure'? I had been through too much in life to feel any pressure, I always dreamnt of this day.
