Cantona comes mind, but im not sure - because he seems most famous for his Fist- and Kickskills. And I agree with Neymar ... also overrated.

I'm gutted because of the way the Champions League ended. And even more so because of the Fact, that we had it in our own Hands to get our Hands on the EPL Title. Winning every Match against the Top Contenders, but squandering oure Chance against weaker Teams is a reason to bang oure Hands against a Wall. But what can one do. All in all it was not bad I think. If this Team was a well-rehearsed one, the Title would be ours. And we would be in the CL Final most likely. I think Mourinho has a lot of work ahead of him. Chosing wisely in the upcoming Transfer Window will be an important Task. But getting the Players to grow as a Team a even bigger one. Way too often I saw our Players standing around, watching the Man on the Ball and waiting for something to happen. In Football nothing can happen without moving and an understanding of how your teammates think and move. its going to get better. Im confident. Cant wait for next Season ...

Nice Vid Mate. Nace Faking ... :-)

There are many reasons. One of them would be that he got voted 3 times footballer of the year for basically nothing. I'm not saying he wasnt a great Footballer .. he was certainly World Class like many others .. but he was not Special. First he had no Vision. Ive never seen him do a Genius Pass. And Ive never seen him tormenting Teams on his own. He was a square Passer. And a Ball Holder. But he was a Team Player and I appreciate that. I do agree that he had some kind of naturally elegant yet strange Body Movement. But honestly, does moving like a Dancing Queen make you a Football Great. Certainly not. Zidane rarely beat Players in Dribbling Situations. He was a Ball Holder. Not a Force towards Goal. Excessively so his attempts to beat Opponents often looked clumsy and arduous. And he had no special Instincts for Goal Scoring Situations (Something that you are born with but can be trained to a certain degree). Everytime such a Topic comes up, someone brings in the Argument of Zidane leading France single handedly to WC/EC Glory. Of course he did, especially with a Team that contained mostly Amateur Footballers like Barthez, Dugarry, Lizarazu, Dokaeff, Henry, Trezequet, Thuram and so on. I wonder how often he would have led Algeria (had he opted) to the Top of the Football World. He always needed great Players around him to be a success. A Real-Madrid Assembling worth 200 Million Dollars for example, to win the CL in 2002 for Example. Otherwise (lets be honest here) he would never have won it. And even that happened against Bayer Leverkusen. To be honest, I never saw Zidane doing something that made my Brain go like "Wtf was that"? I gotta see that again .. I only saw 5 Football Geniuses in my Life ... maybe 6 ... including Messi .... And Zidane certainly is not one of em. Far from it. That being said, I think he was still a great Football Player and a very likeable and great Person on and off the Pitch.

Don't really get what you mean by .. "on this board" ..
-
Exactly what my Colleague said ....
-
.. I knew someones going to batter me for that, buy yes. I mean the guy had some instinct for goals yes .. but beside of that .. nothing that would make me even consider implementing him in a squad, if i were manager.
-
Hi Folks. Had a funny discussion at work today with a Colleague of mine (who is actually a Barcelona Fan). And we were arguing which players might be the most overrated in the history of the game. For me, I always think of the same two - they are unbeateble in that regard 1) Zinedine Zidane and 2) Michael Ballack What about you folks? Whos the most overrated in your Opinion?
-
Loved his run during Schürrles movement towards goal and shot against the post. I mean wtf are they doing in Training lately? He almost ran beyond the Goal Line ...
-
Ok Ok .. I agree
-
I agree with you on the crossing. But what are the best crosses worth if theres no one on the other end in the right place at the right time, to convert them?

No striker on earth can help us, if the team is not able to create chances instead of rolling the ball around the penalty area. The only striker that jumps to my mind who could help us against opponents like norwich at this point is Ronaldo da Lima. But hes retired.
-
It appeared to me that once he took out Matic, the Midfield opened up completely and Norwich actually started playing Football. And that created better Chances for us. Maybe against the more defensive Sides we should leave Matic at Home, because he is too dominant.
-
Disgusting performance upfront. And I don't think there will be enough Time for the Team to equipoise til next Season b/c of the World Cup this Summer.
-
Extra-Time Victory in the making ... (I hope)
-
Maybe we should sign a second Manager for the Offense just like they do it in American Football.
-
Norwich parking it. Chelsea play it well up til the Penalty Area. From there its just poor. Team just not well-rehearsed yet. Players dont seem to know each others Lines of Movement and Routes. There are no good Combinations and every attempt to create a Chance appears tedious and slow. I don't think that 10 Norwich are going to slip in the same Moment anytime during 2nd Half for Demba Ba to score. Mourinho's Comment is still right. This Team is in the Process of Growth.
-
I've no idea what Mourinho plans for next season but I think, if i were him I'd keep Mikel, b/c I really like the Double-DM-pairing of Matic/Mikel if a more defensive approach is required against specific Teams. I think Mikel is a very good Player and he did a great Job last few games he played, especially vs Liverpool. He was very concentrated, worked for the Team and his Stats (defensively) were outstanding. I do doubt, however, he'll be satisfied for long being in the starting lineup just every 2nd or 3rd match.
-
What do you guys think are the reasons for Torres' decline of efficiency. I mean the guy was such a lethal finisher and a top class striker and suddenly in a frame of 1-2 years his level dropped radically. It's not just that he needs many chances to score but .. to me it seems that his instincts, his ability to be in the right place at the right time disappeared.
-
Great Keeper it seems. I am very impressed. He exudes Coolness and Calm and that is Gold for his Teammates. As for his Reflexes ... Just wow.
-
I'd sell him as soon as it becomes possible. Slow-Minded, One-Dimensional Player. Brings a lot of Insecurity. Useless.
-
Hazard incompetent as fuck alone infront of the Keeper not able to put the fucking ball into the net. Drives me crazy.
-
Cant help but it drives me crazy every time I see Ramires play. Also Cole, what was he thinking when he let that Ball pass thru ... Still hope for the best. Confidence ....
