Wanyama always looks slow on the Ball to me. Comes naturally, when someones a chunky Athlete I believe. Wanyama is a classic Strongman, I like that ... but he lacks the Vision, Technique and Creativity of Matic. Everyone has good and bad games .. But Matic is the DM whos going to lead his Team to EPL Glory this Season. Just as he did in 14/15.

Another solid Performance by Matic. Marshalled the Midfield and Shielded the Defence as great as we know it from him. Sill don't like him being shackled so defensively ... Would like to see more of his Vision and Creativity upfront, but its Contes Choice.

Well, Conte could bring in some good prospects fore that Position ... but in my Opinion the Way Matic provides Security and Vision in Midfield, I can't see anyone who can adequately replace him. In my Opinion Conte shackled him into a much too defensive Role anyway, holding back his Playmaker Potential - As he got both. But then again, who am I to judge .. I am just another Sofa Professional from the Forum. TBS ... There are already Rotational Options in our Squad ... Zouma, Ake, Luiz, Kante, Chalobah ... can all fill in, if necessary in all kinds of Line-Up Variations.

That would be perfect. Just learn from the Past and win the League every Year .. and maybe the CL on top of that. Football just doesnt work like that and if we kick out Matic, which would be highly stupendous as he is already an integral Part of the Team, for let's say Nainggollan ... and Chelsea fails to win anything next Season .. then who's next to sell fore another, supposedly better, player? Nainggollan? Kante? Costa? Courtois? Ore let's just try another Coach ... There are many out there anyway. The Culture of juggling integral Parts for Millions of Dollars instead of shaping Teamunity and developing blind Communication based on the Foundation already present leads Teams to nowhere. Maybe I'm wrong, and Nainggollan would turn us into a CL Killing Machine next Season ... Dunno .. I just highly doubt it.

For what? If the Squad manages to win FA and League this Season in such an easy fashion, why wouldnt it do the same next Season? And the Chances of winning the Champions League, with our without Matic, are slim anyway. A lot of Things have to go right and in the Teams Favor, to win both the EPL and the CL. It's not like Chelsea is playing in a Vacation League like La Liga ore Serie A.

I dont even wanna start this Discussion again, but I'll say it once more .. Technically and measured by pure Skill, Zidane is one of the most overrated (if not the most overrated) Player in History. Couldnt do Shit on his own, if a medicre to good Player had him on the Radar (Juventus - Dortmund 1997 comes to mind). He needed Trillion Dollar Squads around him to win the Champions League at least once. And even that one Time happened against a desolate Leverkusen Team. TBS, the Guy had Charisma and Presence, just like Matic ... Matic however has Vision and Technical Skill on top of that. If I had to assemble a Squad, I'd choose Matic over Players like Zidane and Fabregas anytime anyday.

Nainggolan cannot even clean Matic's Shoes ... Much less replace him adequately on a Football Pitch. Funny guys here, who dont see the full Picture in a Match but judge by single Stats like the Nono up there .. who thinks that 0 Blocks and Clearances tell something about a Players performance. Matic has got Presence ... he is like Zinedine Zidane ... he makes other Players around him better just by stepping on the pitch and providing security and stability. TBS .. That's actually a Quality Certificate for Matic right here, from the Forum. B/c in my Opinion Henrique, like many Users here, knows as much about Football as any ordinary Dairy Cow about Ballet. However, the good Thing is, that our Club is led by Professionals not by Forum Users. Matic is Worldclass and a Football Genius at times. Comparing Nainggollan to him is laughable at best.. Nainggolan is not even the "F" of the Footballer that Matic is. Wouldnt trade him for 2 Nainggolans. And fortunately, neither would Conte.

Matic is one of the Pillars of this Team. It was Jose's Eye for Players, who brought him in. And Conte, smart as he is, plays him regularly, because he is not blind, as sees the same Qualities in him, that Jose and almost everyone else can see. He does have occasional Off-Matches, but so does everyone else. There are Times when I would literally kick Costas and Hazards Butt off the Field but that doesn't mean they are not important for the Team. There is no perfect Player ... I mean People here mention Players like Vidal ... who is not even the Letter "F" of the Fooballer that Matic is ... Vidal is a Non-Skilled Aide while Matic posseses the Abilities for Genius Football Moves and reading Pitch Dynamics and Movement. And btw ... @ I do not believe that Nemanja was crucial to the whole of the last title campaign Right. But so was nobody else then.

Watched Real vs Juventus yesterday and clutched my Head several Times, watching Paul Pogba delivering Miss-Passes and like 2 stunning dribblings out of 20 attempts. But all that wouldnt be that bad, if he possessed the slightest glimpse of Vision. Which he does not. All that came to my mind, b/c I remembered a Forum Comparison about whos better .. Pogba ore Matic. I mean, I always knew Pogba was overrated but watching yesterdays Match I recognized that in Matic we have Footballs "Egg-laying Woolmilkpork" and it kinda makes me nervous, because I heard roumours that Pogba could be join us upcoming Windows. Pogba is probably not even the "F" of the complete Footballer that Matic is, and he cannot replace anyone in our Team - At least not adequately. And that just makes me appreciate Nemanja being Part of our Squad even more.

Thats enough for me. All I have to know is that Matic is playing - to chain their Midfielders into Submission, that Fabregas is playing b/c we need his Assissts and that Hazard is playing fore he is always capable of deciding Matches on his own. And thats it ...

I dont even understand some of your Logic. Could you please explain me, how exactly Matic is supposed to (situationally) build up forward play / Counter Attacks ... while at the same Time he's got to shield our Defense Line? Maybe we should just cut him in half ;-) Hes not perfect, but lets be honest - neither Fabregas nor Ramires are reliable when it comes to covering fore him, while he's going forward. It appears to me like a huge Tactical Leak.

Hi Folks, Its February now, and were still sitting rather quite comfortable on Top of the Table. That not least due to some extra brilliant Performances by some of our Players. So who is your Player of the Season so far?

4 ore 5 Players partied a bit too long and got into bed late I guess. Shit happens. Lets just forget this Match and move on.

No Midfielder in Europe nearly as complete as Matic. Maybe if we could weld together Mascherano and Pogba we could get something Matic-Like. But even then we would still lack his Vision and Nonchalance.
