That reading game was funny that 2-2. Maybe we'll do something similar against Brighton then win another double. We won the Charity Shield too after the reading game. My main focus right now is on the Community Shield, it's a nice thing to win.
-
Lets hope he thinks London is awesome and stays. I'd love him here i must admit. His age is perfect too. Another striker we can have for 6 years.
-
Be my worst post ever if he ends up like Torres and we come 5th.

A bit like the mad Chelsea squad thread, this Hazard and Chelsea squad concern has came because of a pre season friendly. It's shocking lol. The squad is young, Hazard is young but Hazard will be world class and this Chelsea squad in a few years time could be the best team in the world. Maybe a bit far with that remark but it's possible. The squad and the players we've bought are very, very young. Hazard is already a fantastic player. His best years are ahead of him, as is the same for most of the squad. Next season's Chelsea will be something none of us have ever seen before so instead of all the negativity, lighten up and get excited about the potential we have bought. Hazard doesn't give a shit about a friendly. Friendlies are for fitness and getting to know your team mates. He doesn't wanna get injured like Robben did against Roma and miss the first 3rd of the season to then play catch up. Hazard is a class act. End of. He'll be the signing of the season.

3 reading players is interesting but one of their games is against us so i'm not exactly hoping for big points from them lol. Plus, everyone will play 38 games anyway, i wouldn't want to wait 3 weeks to be able to get rid of all the reading guys. Anyway, at the moment, my team is .... (Maybe i shouldn't post this)

It's nice actually, not bad at all. As a 3rd kit should be really, a bit inventive, something you can experiment with as it's only a 3rd shirt. The home kit is the kit they have to make perfect and they have so all good. I still just wish the 2nd kit didn't have the slash.

I must admit, after getting Oscar, i thought this wouldn't happen but it seems that we want him. If we're gonna offer 9m, we might as well just offer 10m and stop being petty and just get the deal done. Maybe there's a new rule that nobody knows for the upcoming season that it's now a 15 aside sport. I'm so confused at why we want so many CAM's. Even with the 5 or so that might be shipped out, there's still too many. Time will tell to see what we're actually trying to do. We're obviously using the 4-2-3-1 still as we've played it in each game in pre season, i just dunno how the '3' will all be kept happy. Maybe it's the fact of having lot's of money to spend as we won the UCL, FA Cup and came in the top 6 so buy all the players now whilst we can and we have 7 competitions which will be over 60 matches again. Last year we ended up going down to the bare bones. No chance of that next season at all lol. Intriguing.

Some of the reaction is weird. I was pissed off we lost but we played well against PSG and we should be judged on that more than this game, against 20 players that have played around 20 season games already and are all in the peak of their fitness. We played ok, we controlled possession and if our final ball was better, we would've comfortably won the game i think. They got a lucky opener and a very lucky winner. The only concern for me was how easily they got beyond our back line tho because that's not how we operate at all. Also, using lots of different players changes things too as some players who played aren't actually going to be a full part of next season probably and we know who they are. Lukaku did some good things but he's not really there yet, his first touch and distribution isn't the best but that will develop. Hazard was poor, kept trying stupid fancy things that came off around 0% and Marin was too predictable although still looked dangerous despite that. We certainly didn't deserve to lose the game but the game on Saturday will be better for us i think, with a proper proven striker and hopefully the first chance to see Robbie's first choice line up for an hour. We always do pretty well against Milan in pre season. The Community Shield will show us where we are and what our chances are next season. It's kind of a friendly but an important friendly and a big signal of intent for the upcoming season. I'm looking forward to that.

Just because a player is playing slightly wider than the man in the middle doesn't necessarily make him a winger, unless we want to introduce a 4-1-1-1-1-1-1 formation so everyone can play in the middle. They are just 3 attacking players in front or 2 defensive ones. Hazard and Mata are LW's by trade, even Mata introduced himself in a vid i saw a few days ago as a LW. And even Marin, by trade is a LW. They all played LW for their previous clubs and just like Ashley young, who is also a LW by trade, they can all play as a SS or CAM. Oscar is a CAM so he has more chance playing in the middle because all the others can play wider and have experience wider but they will probably interchange between themselves.

We lose 1 game in pre season and now it's a disaster. They are half way through their season and fully fit, it's basically just a training match for us with some players missing. Yes I was pissed off at the end but it means nothing. It'd better to judge us against PSG and Milan ad they are at a similar stage in preparation for the new campaign. Was a bit pissed off with Hazard too but it's just a friendly. If we beat AC Milan 3-0 it will turn to "wow what a squad we have". The big first game is Man City on the 12th. That will show us how good we are and where we are in regards to what we can aim for in May.

You are so unique lol, you post 1 line on topic then a link to something completely off topic (that we all already know) in every post lol. But yeah, shame no Torres but we have 4-6-0 and a Plan C now, most teams don't even have a Plan B (Arsenal) but we have variety. Lucas to score again. Wonder how he's feeling about another Brazilian wonder kid joining.... We can't ruin Piazon's career, he's quality.
-
I had Marin as few hours ago lol. Yep... changed already lol. Interesting to see Moses and Walters got 140 points last season, 6.5m but again, not convinced lol. I'm sure i'll change it another 10 times by the end of the week.
-
It's really nice to know how happy he is with it, i mean, he should be of course but he might feel a bit more pressured with him here. Lets hope he can get a goal today and get the full 90 mins. I reckon he'll get the whole game today and Marin too. Hmm another Belgian ... blimey.
-
The German league is my favourite league after the prem because it's very competitive with so many evenly matched good teams. It would be perfect for KDB imo. It's a step up from Belgium and instead or skipping a step, going up one step at a time will help his career much more.

Quite a few Premiership teams in the USA. Chelsea Liverpool Tottenham Aston Villa Swansea Stoke Thought we'd all go unbeaten until Stoke and Swansea decided to be crap n let the side down.
-
If we sign him, expect at least 5 players to be shipped out. KDB (Loan), Sturridge, Malouda, Benayoun, Kakuta = Cheers and bye. If we don't get him, they will probably all go anyway tbh lol. We can't just buy everyone and abuse them, wasting 3 years of their development and ruining their careers. Bring in and throw out.
-
It's best to go for definite first XI players. This will be Oscar's debut season, he may only play around half the games you don't know. He's still very young. He'll also be about 7 million so it's not really a risk worth taking yet.
-
For the year? Bit premature that lol, i'm sure we'll add to it, i bloody well hope so anyway. I'm just desperate to see the Marin - Hazard - Ramires with Torres up front before the season properly starts. Friendlies are more than just a match. They are for bonding, fitness, tactics and communication. These games are very important for the preparation for the season.

Off topic but i can't wait to see Brazil in the next 2 world cups. The new era of Brazilian football looks unbelievable. They're not playing extremely well at present but it will all come together in the next 2 years. It's a shame that despite the rankings, we're (England) so far behind in football now. Spain, Barcelona and now this new Brazil have revolutionised modern football. I know Brazil have had a history of it but this team is so talented.
-
Shame Torres aint playing, i don't get this non ready crap, it's only a friendly, 20 minutes wont hurt to just get him back in the match spirit. So... Lukaku again and Piazon. I'd start the team that played so well in the 2nd half against PSG. We could rip the MLS guys apart if we can replicate that performance.
-
40 teams, nice!
-
All of our CAM's can play out wide. They are skillful, quack and can all dribble with a ball. Also it's good signing players from same national teams so nobody is left out and feeling a bit shy. Brazilians, English, Spanish and Belgians with the odd few others. We still have Romeu, Essien, Mikel and Lampard who are physically able, and Lukaku also when he's developed sufficiently. Cavani is very good physically and this is the final piece of the jigsaw, or Hulk. Either would complete the squad, this season is going to be unbelievable. We're more balanced than people think.
-
Lampard can't play forever. If we're to evolve, we need to bring class youngsters in who can take us to the highest level. Lampard has been the best midfielder in our history but as Brazil, Barca and Spain have shown, football is changing big time now.
-
We've always, ever since i've watched Chelsea, been maybe 1 player or 2 away from the perfect squad balance. We're really doing a fantastic job this year. At the moment we're just wanking, if we get Cavani it will be the climax.
