Well yeah, Kalou is better than me, but i don't play for Chelsea, he does so he needs to perform if he thinks he's good enough, i don't lol. Danny Sturridge, with the chance to play regular, at least as regular as Kalou has in 5 years would do better in that period than what Kalou has done. I love Sturridge, he's cocky but also down to earth in real life and at the end of the day, he knows he can be world class. He sets out to be the best and he believes he can be. I want to see him given the chance to prove it because i believe him.

Well i watched him ages ago for wolves in the early 2000's and was gutted for him when Wolves came to the prem in 2003 and wasn't able to play as he was out for the whole season through injury. Wolves went down and his premiership dream was shattered for another year. Everton did great signing him and tbh he should never of left them. Money talks tho don't it. I think he's a top quality centre half and has every attribute. Composed, strong, scores from set pieces, English, passionate.... If we got him, i wouldn't be unhappy at all. 28 years old, very good age for a CB.

Football aint about talking, it's about performing. I think Kalou is shit and until he performs, and performs consistently, i wont be changing my mind. He's done fuck all for this club since he came and he aint just come, he's been here a long time now. He might love the club, he might have passion and desire but if he's not good enough, it doesn't count for sod all in the long term. In a lesser mid-table kind of team like Liverpool, he'd be ok, fans appreciate hard working players who are crap, but Chelsea are trying to win the league, we don't have room for average, mid-table like players.

Look at Inter last season and us in the last few years, they haven't humiliated us like they have against Arsenal and Real Madrid. We've been them as much as they've beaten us and their football and calibre of player hasn't changed. We have to win the Champions League, it's the holy grail of club football and if we do it before Arsenal, i'd feel unbelievably happy, like my life is complete lol i hate Arsenal and their fans so much it's almost impossible.

Kalou has had time now for sure, it doesn't matter if he's happy, sad, miserable, flu ridden, pregnant or completely overjoyed, he will still play the same way. 2006 Jose signed this guy and he seemed quick, full of energy and full of potential. It's 2011 now and that potential just didn't happen. Him stealing Anelkas goal was just desperate lol although Nico didn't seem to care so fair do's, a goal's a goal but Kalou only scores against poor quality teams or when we're already 3-0 up (or 3-0 down). We need players that are gonna come on in a huge game and perform. Not just bullies of championship teams and relegation candidates. He's scored a couple of important goals but when was the last one? Man Utd home in 2008-2009, Tottenham FA Cup in 2006-2007.... The other players, sure, give em time. Kalou has had his time. He's 25 now too, not a baby anymore, he should be at the peak of his career. And FFS how many chances does this fucker miss horribly... Anyway.... back on Topic as it's about Mikel and not Kalouless. I've not been a fan of his ever since he came here, mainly because of his laziness and keep falling half asleep like against Roma away where he was absolutely shocking. But i've seen signs this year that he is maturing into a very good composed defensive midfielder. His positioning and his reading of the game is very good and he's become a better passer and influential to stopping attacks and starting our own. He's young and he's strong, he's still learning a lot but he has the attributes to be very important. I'd say we need him because of his build against teams like Stoke, Everton and the like and his age. He has time on his side. If he just stayed more alert sometimes and reacted to certain situations a bit better, he'd be well on his way. He didn't come cheap either.

It is a fantastic Chelsea forum, i've been part of it for a while now and like i was saying on the legends thread, i love it here, i'm so grateful to have found it and the people are excellent. You can easily make friends and have good conversations about the one thing we all have in common and that's our love for Chelsea FC. There's always a lot to write and there will be disagreements and arguments too but that's just part of the fun and the desire we show. It's all about opinions and if we all shared the same opinions, it would be boring (except we all know Kalou is shit). Alex's post sums this place up and i'll be here as long as this place is here. Congrats to everyone for making this place one of the best, if not the best Chelsea forum on the net. A great forum needs great members and we have that in abundance.
