ooh yeah, Alfonso Alves. I thought he was good tho, was good against Man Utd but was in a crap team. McManaman was very good for real madrid, as was Owen but they never gave Owen games, like so many of the strikers they've bought in the last decade. Beckham was good for Real and AC Milan too really, he was key in Real Madrids title winning season when Capello finally played him. At AC, he was getting old to be fair. Wooodgate, never really played and got injuries (no shock there). Hargreaves started in Germany and he was very good for Bayern. They liked him there. Our players very rarely go abroad which is strange but also there's only about 2 or 3 italians and spaniards in the prem which is also weird.

Welcome back Ray. I've been trying to get ppl back too. Kinda worked good to see u back.

Benayoun has been a great player in the Premiership and Champions League in his career. Was good for West Ham and Liverpool. Well anyway lets hope it gets completed, should be a good signing. playmaker, excited, woo

Huntelaar failed at Real Madrid and AC Milan. He's doing ok in Germany tho. Kezman's career died as soon as he came to us. Kalou is shite Babel hasn't done much Kuyt hasn't been consistent or that good tbh. May have been more but to be honest, people flop from everywhere, not just Holland lol. The general consensus is that Kezman failed and they use that example every time. Then Huntelaar went to Madrid and same story.

Every time we play last, needing a win, we fuck up, especially last season. Arsenal vs Wigan = Banker home win Man Utd vs Birmingham = Banker home win Aston Villa vs Manchester City = I think City will win there If we don't win, the gap even towards Arsenal will be to much let alone the gap between us n United. No chance of the title then. I think we'll win anyway.

We're not gonna be making 25-30 million pound signings, definitely not in January. I usually ignore the transfer section because i know we're not gonna get these big named over priced players. At the moment we need to build up more of a squad because when we're getting injuries, we're not having any quality experienced back up which is the main reason we are where we are with so little points and wins. Maybe one day, or in the Summer Roman will say fuck it and pull out the big money again but it's not gonna happen for a while yet and most definitely not in the middle of the season.

This Generation has the likes of Eto'o, Ronaldive, Messi, Torres, Villa, Drogba, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Rooney etc so amazing world class players are being produced but they are so arrogant and money orientated it's ridiculous. It's no longer a game for loving your team and standing by them (as a player). I agree tho about strikers, only Eto'o really sticks out in todays times.
-
We've beat a Managerless Ipswich and a kind of Managerless Blackburn so it's hard to judge yet. We need a few really good performances in a row to be confident the rotten run is over. Beating a good team wouldn't go amiss

Arsenal got Theo at 16-17 ish, that was ages ago and he's still not really made it. Moving to a big club now will just ruin this kid, Walcott should've stayed at Southampton for at least another 2 years, this guy should do the same and develop with games.
-
Except against Arsenal earlier this season lol.

Oh well, get the nazi's to kill me with gas or something amusing (i meant it tongue in cheek anyway, i have nothing against Germans but in Football i hope they lose every time i see them) ANYWAY ON TOPIC... Patrick Kluivert was also someone i loved when he was young.

I'm English, that's all i need to say on the matter. Bastard Krauts.
-
He has such great feet, his touch and control is second to none but i just wonder so many times, "wtf are u doing over there" His main problem is, he just keeps hold of the ball for so long and doesn't do anything constructive with it the majority of the time.
-
He had a seizure, fit type of thing. Roberto Carlos was sharing a room with him and he woke up with Ronaldo having the fit in his bed. Scary shit. From then on, he just seemed worried and nervous like someone had just died. Justice was done for sure in 2002, and great opposition to do it to too. Bastard Krauts.
-
That Ronaldo vid was quality by the way. Oh and don't forget Figo too, he was awesome.
-
Hard to disagree with that tbh. So many amazing strikers have graced football. Romario and Del Piero also are 2 of my all time favs. Could name hundreds but to name ONE I'd have to say Brazilian Ronaldo.
-
Ronaldo only does it against shit teams and he's a cheating cry baby cunt and that's just being nice to the greasy shit faced prick. Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima is the greatest striker i've ever seen. 2nd for me is Gabriel Batistuta for Fiorentina and Batigol won sod all.
-
i don't remember a 4-0 at home to them, maybe u mean the 5-1, actually we've done em 5-1 twice in the last decade Battering them and sitting in the MH must feel good lol.
-
Yeah, big time. Was fitting to win it there too as Matthew Harding's death was when he was coming back from a defeat away to Bolton. Kinda historic game for us in more ways than one.
-
We always win here. For some reason we're much better away to them than we are at home to them, used to be completely different tho when i was young. Swear we've only just played them.... Last 7 games away 03/04 - 2-0 04/05 - 2-0 05/06 - 2-0 06/07 - 1-0 07/08 - 1-0 08/09 - 2-0 09/10 - 4-0 Scored 14, conceded 0, won 7 They do have a nice big pitch tho which suits us.

Caught the last hour, i thought the 2nd half was excellent and coulda been 3 or 4 easily. For once, the midfield was well passing and quickly and the forwards were moving better and linking better. Although both goals were from corners, it was a much better performance than some we've had lately. Important win.
-
Maybe i'm wrong but last time i checked, Pienaar was a creative midfielder who chips in with a few goals from time to time. What we don't need is another defensively minded midfielder. Pienaar is a good player and defo worth £3m if that's all the bid is. And some of these names being linked with us on here, WHO? Pienaar has experience and more importantly premier league experience, he can also play as a winger, he's versatile, and he's not even 30 yet, he's 28. . How can £3m for someone like that be a bad signing?
-
Apparently they've let us talk with him. I swear he's coming.
