  1. Maybe the ones who don't come back should be cleared unless of course they are members we know. We don't really need ppl who have made 3 posts in 2 years lol. Would take ages to clean it up tho.
  2. Great milestone, the best Chelsea forum around no doubt and it's getting bigger and better by the year. Credit to the admins as they are the reasons for this place to be here and their fantastic knowledge and desire year in, year out.
  3. Good post, definitely a forum that i'm so glad i found, it is a great place and you're a very good new member here. Almost feel like i know most the members personally, all good.
  4. If you change managers every 1-2 years, you don't deserve to win fuck all. The most important thing is faith and i believe in stability. We're not too far off, hell we're only 2 points off 2nd which is hardly a disaster. Carlo has made mistakes, i wanna see him fix the mistakes because if we don't let him try n sort his problems out, he can't be judged properly. If he gets sacked i wont cry, but i also wont cry if we keep him.
  5. Most of last season we were pretty average, especialy in the middle part but so were Arsenal and Man Utd. We had a flurry at the beginning of last season and the end of last season (first 6 we won and last 9 we won 7 so 15 of the 38 league games) and that's what won us the league. I never said i wanted Carlo to stay but it would be a bit shit sacking him when we won the double the previous season. I want to see some stability though and i wanna see what he's made of in adversity and after a disappointing season. This season, we started great again, won 8 out of the first 10 league games but after that, Ray was sacked and we collapsed immediately Keep him: - Double winners 09/10 - Stability - Let him right his own wrongs, if the same happens next season, let him go - See if he's capable of sorting things out Ditch him: - Isn't making match changing decisions - Playing out of form players - Scared to change things - Playing players out of position - Seems a bit clueless
  6. Was thinking of picking your top 3 in each category instead of just the best one, just to maybe see some new names in some lists and give the nearly people a bit of credit. I think everyone kind of knows who will win most of the awards (righly so by the way because BL and Steve have been a real credit to the place and the club).
  7. I watch what i can really but mainly Premiership, Championship and La Liga. In the Championship, every match is big because its so tight every season. I like the spanish because of the quality. Always watch UCL too of course and International tournaments and the domestic cups. Will do my best tho to watch the German stuff tomorrow tho because Leverkusen really are chasing Dortmund but i hope Bayern Munich beat Bayerkusen because i want Dortmund to win the league. Always followed dortmund since i got their home shirt about 15 years ago from my uncle who works for Nike after they knocked man utd out of the UCL 12 points has become 5 tho, very Newcastle - Man Utd like from '96 interesting. I watch all important games too
  8. These Carlo threads are quite annoying because we all know who he is and what he won with us last season. Last season, Man Utd were in a transition, selling Ronaldo and Tevez, 2 of their 3 best players, we ought to have won the league really and even then we lost 6 games and won it by just a point. I was so happy at the end of the season tho, i loved Carlo because he seemed to have got the best out of his players in the last 7-8 games and we completely battered teams and won the double and i was buzzing for the next season because i thought Carlo had it sorted. Stoke 7-0 Villa 7-1 Sunderland 7-2 Portsmouth 5-0 Wigan 8-0 Blackburn 5-0 By the end of last season, we were confident and we were playing the best football i had ever seen from a chelsea team. 103 league goals, free flowing, expansive. Everyone was on top of their game. Start of the 2010-11 season: WBA 6-0 Wigan 6-0 Blackpool 4-0 On October 30th, we beat Blackburn 2-1 to be 5 points clear in the premiership and have our best start to a season in 4 years or so, we then beat Spartak Moscow 4-1 and all was rosy. Played 10, won 8, drew 1, lost 1. Can't ask for much more, started as we left off the season before. Then Ray Wilkins was sacked and the season died, dropped points after dropped points, everyone out of form, the goals dried up, the body language was shit and we just couldn't buy a win. Surely the MANAGER should get the players motivated and not let this happen. bad moment, unlucky whatever, the fact was that we were getting further behind the leaders week by week and out of the race completely. What Ray Wilkins gave the team obviously was a lot better than what Ancellotti gave the team because stats don't lie and you don't lose confidence and form that badly just like that. We weren't just hitting a minor blip, this was a complete collapse from november 7th and january 15th. Something was obviously wrong behind the scenes. Now who to blame? Roman got rid of Jose when things were perfect. He got rid of Ranieri when things were fucking great, the best for a long time, maybe ever at the time. He got rid of Ray Wilkins after he had worked with Carlo to win us the double and were in amazing form in the current period, last season ended breathtakingly. Now Carlo needs to prove that he can actually bounce back from this shit season and turn it around. He needs to bring in a number 2 who will work with the players and inspire them, like a Maldini or a Desailly. Someone who will give a buzz around the place. Atm Carlo is working alone and it just isn't working. All the best teams have a great manager and a great number 2, we have a great manager but then there's a void imo. ALSO... Carlo needs to be braver with his selections and stop playing players out of position (Anelka) and players out of form (Lampard, Malouda, Anelka) and stop making the same pointless changes that never change the game. With 2 NATURAL WINGERS like Young and Bale, we'd be amazing but we don't have natural wingers and we play wingers, i don't get it. We got knocked out of the 2 Champions League campaigns against 2 teams that had settled teams and everyone knew their role 110%. They were organised and they had belief. Against Inter and especially Man Utd, we showed no belief we could actually get through and not everyone knew their jobs. Also we didn't and still don't know our best XI or our best formation. Carlo... 2 proper wingers please, a proper number 2 and a settled formation and we'll be laughing.
  9. That Arsenal shirt looks awful with that HUGE badge. Even the shirt aint all that nice tbh, looks like something from the blue square premier.
  10. If Mourinho comes back, it wont be til maybe 2 or 3 years time. I'd like Carlo to actually stay and see what he's made of. How's he gonna make Chelsea better and is he gonna show some bollocks? Got lots of Portuguese speaking players tho for a Portuguese manager.
  11. I've only been to 1 match this season and that was the FA Cup 4th Round replay, i'm not gonna go to anymore league games 100%. I'll go to the fa cup maybe and the UCL group stage games, that's it. EDIT: Just seen UCL group stage games are £40. No way i'll be renewing my membership.
  12. I have a feeling its only a matter of time until we go pink. I kinda like the 3rd bordeaux shirt tho, the 2nd is messed up but still looks ok because it's different. The liverpool away shirt is class, not what u can say about the team tho. Bordeaux have always had the V design, all their home kits look the same tbh.
  13. He plays for Chelsea so you might as well add him prematurely.
  14. David Fucking May won it with man utd in '99 too. For every great who aint won it, there's a useless cunt that has.
  15. If he wanted to stay, he woulda dropped certain players and shown some bottle. Same subs every game, same awful wingers, same lack of creativity and same lack of balls.
  16. He was losing it a bit anyway but the latest injury has well and trully ended him. Time for fresh, hungry blood.
  17. Na matter what we want, the fact is that all these cunts will probably be here next season and some the season after too. Malouda Kalou Bosingwa Anelka These are the 4 i'd let go. Lampard has to be a cameo player now like Scholes is for utd and use Benayoun more. Bring back Sturridge, Kakuta, Cork (Who i personally rate very highly) and use Josh like Arse have used Wilshere. It will fall into place.
  18. Great attitude shown last night but Man Utd over the 2 legs were the more comfortable team, they all know their roles and they know their first XI, we don't. It's hard to take because of the penalty in the first leg and the awful red card decision last night then to top it off we concede 20 seconds after we score, really shit but that's how things are with us all the time. He should've played Benayoun ahead of maybe Essien and he should of started with Torres and Zhirkov out wide and Drogba through the middle, Drogba is still the main man. We do not have the players to go to the next level, plain and simple. Josh needs to play more and sturridge needs to be brought back. We might go a couple of seasons trophyless but we need to change things now. Malouda, Anelka, Bosingwa, Kalou, Bye-Bye! 2 things from yesterday, Lampard is finished, Drogba is still the main man.
  19. Nah the one where Benayoun set him up, he coulda composed himself better imo. He was nervous for the one you mentioned too tho, he shoulda taken the touch across the defender but, it's coming ....
  20. Would help if more ppl gave their opinions on the match and not just stick up starting XI's. I'd play Torres on his own up front but that's me (Torres does better against Man Utd than Drogba) Massive game, it'll be absolutely brilliant if we can pull it back and turn it round but it's certainly gonna be dificult. I think we'll do it, i have a really good feeling about it but gonna be so nervous come 7:30. I just hope we go for it don't be too nervous and scared because this man utd is not the best and we are better than them. 1-3 would be sweet, kill it in injury time on the break. We need another Highbury 2004 monent in the UCL. Old Trafford 2011? Would be epic!
  21. We have him for 5 years, it's a long term signing, not a 5 month signing. Was pissed off he missed that chance tho. he rushed it, he's clearly nervous as fuck.
  22. Nice one, hopefully its the proper start hes been looking for.
  23. I agree he has great ability but i also agree he isn't premiership level, at least not atm. Not sure why really, defenders in the prem aint gonna let him run past em all like championship players will. I would like him to play for a team like West Ham, WBA, Fulham, Villa etc. Established premier teams who do try n play football. Maybe he'll come to the prem with Swansea, ya never know. Just something about his mentality, he played for us a few times, just didn't seem confident about his own ability but he was an immature teen back then, maybe he's grown up and can do it. There's no doubting his ability, same with Kakuta.
