  1. It's not the first time, it certainly wont be the last. But... Getting a pen against a 'historic' English UCL team isn't impossible for us. We also got a VERY dodgy panalty at the nou camp in 2006 too. It's not only been bad although our luck has been only bad in the Roman UCL era.
  2. well he'll just lose friends and respect for saying that, he's obviously hinting that he's playing better than Malouda and co but he has to realise when he sits down every week and watches football first "fuck, i really am shit". He is pretty good in the games at home to wolves, west ham, wigan and the likes, tho. He should've played today really.
  3. Can't judge him for fulham at old trafford, it's hardly fair. We have world class proven players and they were all shit against man utd on weds... He needs 5 full games in a row, then he can be judged a bit more accurately. Plus the fact that Fulham are just a shit pussy little family club.
  4. Yeah that's what i said about Bosingwa too lol but it would be worth a try, he's so quick. Crossing a ball is hardly difficult, i'm sure he might manage to get a few over one day. He can't cross but he absolutely categorically CANNOT defend.
  5. The type of player we need. Young, skillful, direct, scores goals, attacks, English... What more can i say. He'd be a fantastic signing because he is a cracking player. And yes.... he is Chelsea and premiership class imo.
  6. We lack a Walcott, Lennon, Ashley Young, SWP kind of player so much though. Of those 10 goals, most of them were before October lol. We need someone who is direct and can take players on with their pace. Bosingwa could do it but his final ball is crap. The thing that lets Malouda down is that he isn't direct enough imo. He's more of a midfield footballer.
  7. Football can be cruel, Torres tries to hard to score.... Malouda does sweet fuck all and the ball drops to his feet from a scrappy corner and his shot somehow finds a way in. Hopefully this gives him more confidence because there aint many games to go. It's shit or bust time, especially in europe.
  8. Something different, a Chelsea player ignoring Drogba and only looking for Torres lol. When Al Habsi saved it i shouted at the top of my voice "FOR FUCK SAKE" i want him to score so fucking bad. Benayoun and Torres have to play on tuesday, these are true Champions League players. We win the game if they play, 100%. WE need to destroy these cunts n shut them up for once and for all. Even if Torres plays on a wing, he naturally drifts there anyway. Most of his goals have come from out there and cutting in.
  9. Just a bollocks thread. Apart from scoring that illusive goal, he's been excellent and even today he came so fucking close. As Alex said, Anelka had a massive spell without scoring in 07/08. Look at Henry and Bergkamp for Arsenal and look how shit Berbatov was at Man Utd. This is the crunch part of the season, he could end up scoring 4-5 times and those goals could be fucking golden. Next season, he's winning the golden boot. Give the guy a break. Benayoun was excellent when he came on btw, almost gave Torres his first goal, no coincidence it was him too. It's coming. Fine lines.......
  10. Quite funny reading this really, such differing opinions on Torres and Drogba on who was better. I was even arguing with ppl at work today on who was better. I think ppl are just saying Torres was shit because he aint scored yet. He was good yesterday and a huge threat. Drogba provided no goalscoring threat, he was just moaning for the majority, running into players, losing the ball and failing to pick anyone out. Torres took on and beat players, had 4 or 5 efforts which almost got us the goal, a bit more luck and he woulda got 3. Drogba has the presence but he's a striker, he didn't look like one yesterday imo, his positioning was also crap. Torres' movement was better too. I dont remember a DD shot on target.
  11. Tottenham scored 12 against them last season. 9-1 and 3-0. This season was 1-0 to Wigan and 0-0. The problem this season has been purely goals and considering last season, i think that's staggering. 103 goals last season and now we're only on 54 with 8 games left. We only failed to score in 1 game last season in the league, this season we've failed to score in 8 already. I don't get why this has happened tbh, especially after scoring 21 in our first 5. It has literally gone tits up since Wilkins left. We need to probably go back to 4-3-3, 4-5-1 and bring in a proper number 2. I wanted us to go to 4-4-2 but it clearly dosen't work so we need to go back to normal now, there's too much at stake now for us to be trying to accommodate players. Surely we'll get some goals in this. Surely.... Think we should 'rest' (drop) Lampard, play 4-3-3 and add something different. Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Mikel, Benayoun, Kalou, Malouda, Torres Kalou and Malouda can be chanced in a game like this and they were both good in the away game. Torres needs a goal, Banayoun adds creativity. I'd LOVE to see that team.
  12. He managed AC Milan from 2001-2009. AC Milan were a fucking top team then with great players. Fuck 2006, fuck now, fuck next year whatever..... AC Milan between 2001 - 2009 were a dominant world powerhouse of a team and they would've been regardless of who was in charge. Maldini, Nesta, Pirlo, Costacurta to name more.
  13. Cech 8 - Goal wasn't his fault but looked safe and handled very well. Ivan 7 - Very strong and came out of defence with the ball to try and make things happen JT 7 - Dominant, strong and Ash 6 - Normal performance from him really, did nothing wrong. Bosingwa 5 - Great speed, looked dangerous but awful final ball and can't defend. Skinned by a 38 year old Essien 3 - Slow, awful passing, confused.com Lampard 4 - RIP. Shit passing, crap shooting, looks old and cant wait to get rid of the ball Ramires 7 - Lively, tried hard and showed quick feet but no help Zhirkov 2 - Didn't see him Torres 6 - Looked most likely to score and looked dangerous with the ball at his feet. Great skill too and beat a few players. It's coming Drogba 5 - Just ran into people, created nothing, bad body language, no efforts on goal, moaned, same ol' DD. Couple of good bits of skill but then fucked it up.
  14. Torres done a hell of a lot more than Drogba today.
  15. Milan ARE a weak team NOW. He was at Milan in their Golden era, player and manager. As for players not being as good now, it's down to Carlo to see that and do something about it.
  16. Those stats do show a huge difference, especially in the 'A' column. He's a RB, the other 3 played in almost every game with or without him..... think about it. And that goal was a macheda handball ricochet. Hardly cut open. This thread makes sense to me, but then i thought Bosingwa was shit before i read this anyway and this aint a shock nor a coincidence. But... He is probably the best winger we have, his crossing can improve. His direct style causes defenders all types of shit, he skinned them more than once tonight.
  17. Bosingwa gets targetted as the weak link and he gets exploited way too much for a proper right back. Best thing for him if he's gonna play is to put him on the wing because this bloke is no fucking RB!
  18. I can't genuinely see any reasons carlo should stay except the thing about trying to keep a settled manager. This guy aint got a clue, we lost 1-0 home to inter, 1-0 home to man utd, in the league we've lost 13 matches in 2 seasons, we play long ball all the time and quite frankly theres more chance of this team getting worse than progressing and getting better. We're not even a tough team to beat anymore, it's not good. I had the feeling after Rooney scored that we wouldn't come back, i had no confidence and fuck i'm happy i didn't go out and watch that crock of shit. He's not a Champions League manager at all. Milan were a Champions League team.
  19. Drogba, Malouda, Bosingwa, Essien, Lampard = Big worries atm, they are not right and they have been such big players for us (except Bos but he can do better than this shit). I'm thinking that these have all had their time with us. We need to freshen up because atm, this just aint good.
  20. Perfect game imo, Torres will probably score, then he can get his confidence just in time for the 2 games at old trafford. Doubt it'll be 8 this time tho because quite frankly we're a year older and a year shitter. 3-0
  21. Bosingwa only has one quality and thats running fast in a straight line. That doesn't really get you very far in a huge football match when you have no ability with a ball.
  22. We'll never win this trophy. We were awful today, an embarrassment to the name of our club. One of the biggest games in our history and we play like that.... I think Lampard's time is up, Drogba's time is up, Bosingwa needs outing and then finally we can get a good fresh bunch of players with fresh ideas. And what's all these long balls all about? Gotta put some blame on Carlo too tho, he has no clue. Exactly the same crock of wank at home to Inter last season. fucked off
  23. They won't even get Channel 5 football next season
  24. He's has so many opportunities which is positive, just his finishing has been lacking. He's done more than Drogba anyway, ok Drogba scored against Stoke but he's getting on my nerves atm, his body language, final ball, moaning, 'simulation'.... absolute shit today. Torres was good but again just not quite there. Wigan at home next, he's bound to get more chances to score against that lot.
  25. Were at home, we have to go for it and see how it goes. Man Utd seem to be going for it too, playing a fucking strong team and ALSO 4-4-2. It's gonna be one hell of a match and i'm shitting it already. Can only hope that after 90 minutes, we're still very much in the tie. We cannot lose today and give ourselves a mountain to climb. This is our chance for glory.
