Torres made smart runs. You don't know the other strikers would've made them, it's just a shame he didn't take one of the chances but another day he will. He always makes good runs on the last man.

This thread is jokes. Torres has had many great performances for us but didn't score. I know he's a striker but on top of being just a striker, he's genuinely a very good technical footballer and plays for the team first and foremost. I still believe that he'll have a couple of awesome years for us, starting next season. If he doesn't fire next season, forget it.

Do you guys not get bored with flaming Torres at every opportunity? Next season is where to truly judge him, when he is the number 1 striker in DD's absence with many genuine creative players round him. He still has 3 or 4 seasons in him to repay some of the faith and the price tag.

So he misses a chance or 2 and suddenly the last 18 months gets brought up. Fantastic support.

Liverpool challenged in 2009 and he was the main reason for that. He's scored in the UCL Semi against us in 08 and Barca this year. He's scored in the Euro 2008 final, he's scored for Liverpool against Real Madrid... he's won the UCL, World Cup, Euro's, fuck me ...He's a big match player and today he was just unlucky.
