Y123CFC got a reaction from The Skipper in 🇧🇷 Oscar
Thought Oscar had another great game tonight.
He can pull off some fantastic passes, such as that one early in the second half to Hazard.

The Xabi Alonso to Bayern deal is so random and unexpected.
Saw someone tweet this, it's actually true:
"The so-called Mourinho's camp all sidelined/sold by Real. Lopez, Arbeloa, Alonso, Khedira, Özil, Di Maria, Higuain. Casillas running things. Only Varane and Modric left"
Just a shame for Real that Casillas isn't actually top class anymore seems to make so many errors nowadays.

Did anyone watch the Spanish Super Cup second leg? I'm glad Atletico won (beat Real 2-1 on aggregate) - I think they can definitely still compete this season despite losing key players. Simeone is a great manager.
With Real Madrid, they definitely spend too much on attacking players -their defence was all over the place on several occasions. Think they'll be in trouble when they come up against other top teams this season.

Good post.
Though Willian should be playing at his best right now while oscar is a work in progress according to Jose himself. It's also down to what your definition of #10 is. Btw oscar wears #8 and fits his game just fine.
My personal feeling is that oscar is, and will always be, twice the player. Seen too many Willians, the dribbling machines from Brazil, but it usually takes that tactical nous to get the great player, and I reckon that's what chelsea and Jose are trying with oscar.
Don't get me wrong, William is a good player and should've come on for Andre who was our worst player IMO.

He was shit in the first half like everyone else apart from Eden. He was outstanding in the 2nd and was the player that got a foothold on the game. Not Costa, Cesc, Schurrle or Hazard but him.
His intelligence to fill in around the pitch when Hazard, Schurrle and most importantly Cesc drift out of position, gives us fluidity. His workrate and defensive ability also gives Fabregas the license to play deeper. Does his defensive work and then gets involved further up.
Great curling shot that he was unlucky not to score from and then he played about 3 or 4 brilliant passes into space, most importantly the through pass in the build up to Diego's goal.

Where are the usual posters of this thread now?
On that's right when a player of this team, supposedly THEIR TEAM has a good match, they go away. Always like this.
Anyway, only watched the second half and he played like a 10 for a few streaks. He was involved in the attack, he was positioning himself in the final third, getting involved. And that without giving up on one moment of restless high-pressing, tackling, marking. He's back giving everything he has in the matches. And he's gaining form again.
And we all should be happy because he's a Chelsea player, but I know some won't be. I don't give a fuck though.
Keep it up, Oscar! We need him, he's one of the key players in this system and his contributions, whether direct or indirect, are massive to the team's balance and today he really played like an AM, showed some creativity and his passing was much better. All those things are known for a while, let's hope he keeps the trend and gains some consistency. He's coming at age, approaching his peak and I think he's going to have a brilliant career for Chelsea because he's not the profile of player that would leave for money, for status of playing for X or Y team. He's ours for as long as we want him and I hope we make it a decade.

yep, I'm in the minority here probably but I actually don't have too much of a problem with united fans.
City on the other hand.. Well just take a look at Bluemoon - predictions of them walking the league after one game, winning a treble, dominating Europe etc. Haha.
I'm glad on this forum that we're all realistic alongside optimistic.

Saw a City fan say they have a better manager than us. Speechless tbh, haha.

Well I respect the fact all fans have different opinions. Even though I don't agree with those saying Oscar should be sold, that is their opinion and I won't argue with that.
Personally, I believe in Oscar and believe he can become one of the best in the world in the next few years under Mourinho.
As Jose said, he was being played out of position for Brazil and being burdened with defensive duties.
Even then, he put in an amazing performance vs Croatia in the opening game, so we can see he has the skills and potential. He just needs to work on his consistency.
I hope he plays in the third place playoff tomorrow, and scores a goal or two. Although I don't think the Brazil players will ever get over not winning the World Cup this year, I would hope him scoring tomorrow would make him feel a bit better about himself, as it was upsetting seeing him so devastated after the semi final.
And then I hope he gets a bit of a longer summer break, comes back motivated and ready for next season, helps us win a trophy and then goes into next year's Copa America with Brazil and helps them win that.

With Neymar's injury, I think we will see Oscar having less defensive duties against Germany, and more focus on him attacking.
He now has a chance to step up and make himself Brazil's hero in Neymar's absence, and I believe in him that he can do it.
We know he has the potential as seen against Croatia, and I have faith in him (even though I'm an England supporter but I really want Brazil to win the WC now)

Understand where you're coming from, but Oscar is one of those players I'm least worried about when it comes to that. Irrespective of his antics on instagram/twitter, as a player, he's as level-headed as they come and I feel he has the maturity to transition seamlessly between different roles on the pitch.

I always read the same and I think it's not possible. Eden needs the left wing because his game is based on the internal movement. Hazard lost its greatest virtue in the middle or right. His left foot is an adornment.
Oscar is a great playmaker. With the ball is quite talented. He needs to be free to shine. Observe the match against PSG. Superb. Just a super talent could sign that.

I kind of envision this would happen in the world cup...
That neymar would get injured in one of the games and Oscar would have to step up as the n10..
Hopefully, he is ready to take the role that was once his.....
(last year's supercup Oscar played well against Munich).

Good game by Oscar. Produced some good quick flicks too (in addition to the defensive play mentioned above).
With Neymar's injury, now it's all on Oscar. All good to me because Oscar is better than Neymar... there I've said it.
