Costa does the beach hero performances well so the fans love him - never mind the cards. But he's too "uncle Georgy" for this level of football. I remember some of his performences with Atletico in 2013-14 but not in detail. Then in the final against Real Madrid he did n't play because of injury. Then in Brazil he was useless along with the rest of the Spanish team, when he was already a Chelsea player. With us he started well. He was effective although instances of slow-motionism were discernible. From Jan 2015 and afterwards, nothing. 12 months is a long time.

I 'm not happy with Costa. He seems to keep missing the simplest of chances. He actually missed the first goal and then the billiard ball collision favoured us. He plays up front so once in a blue moon he finds the net. I 'm afraid I consider him now the no 1 reason for our problems. There are reasons no 2, 3, 4, 5 ... of course - he could n't be the only one. Against Bournemouth for instance why did n't we score at least one before they scored ? Where is our high caliber striker ? I 've seen it before. High profile transfers failing to deliver and Torres was n't one of them imho. Sevchenko is the typical example. Falcao from Monaco to United, but we know the reason for that. Greaves to AC Milan in the old years.

Good performance. If only Costa could improve a little.

Meriam Webster on Bollix: : to make mistakes in doing (something) : to upset or ruin (something) Panagoulias Alketas (late): The manager who failed Olympiakos Piraeus in 1986 and also the Greek national team in 1994-USA (0-10 aggregate score). Lost position.
-
The Greek medical term is "Panagouliasis".

This team just can't find the net. Under normal circumstances we might have been 2 up or 3 up when they scored (was it offside ? I think the man who actually headed the ball was n't). I 'm aghast. Mourinho can't find a cure to even stabilize the situation in the bottom third of the table. Never seen anything like it. Re. defense I saw a "Gerrard slip" thing in the first half but the trouble is up front - Sahara desert.

No more free view if you live in a house across the road.

Klopp and Ranieri are doing well, with average players. I have n't seen the Spurs, neither yesterday. Gooners, City and Utd do not impress me. I like City's type of passing game though. But somewhere there is a fly in the ointment in that team.
-
We lost 3-1 to lesser quantities. Re. the league it's a shame to see teams like Utd-Lei-Gooners-City ahead of us.

Leicester are small timers.

If all at 11 pts, take away the Maccabi results from all and it ends up as I say before. Chelsea4's table says if Kyiv win and Chelsea draws then it's Porto-Chelsea. Wrong. It is Kyiv-Chelsea.
-
Oly v. Arsenal is the talking point now and Arsenal are clearly ahead on goal dif. but they have to win by 2 the pundits say. So the criterion for two teams is H2H. There is no H2H with three teams. You make them into mini league. If after you end up with two teams on the level again then you go for the H2H between them.
-
If Kyiv beat MTA and CFC v. Porto is a draw then it is Kyiv - CFV - Porto. Chelsea4 has got it wrong. In this case the three team table becomes as follows: Kyiv = 5 points, goal dif. > 0 CFC = 5 points, goal dif. = 0 Porto = 5 points, goal dif. = -1
-
When there are two teams at the same points h2h counts - so I 'm told. In the world cup it was different. When there are three teams you have to make them into a mini league of three. With Porto v. CFC the h2h is not over so may be they put us in alphabetical order.

I watched until the 3-0 yesterday then switched to the thriller Lyon v. Gent. Now if we win against Porto we finish first. If we draw and Dynamo win against Maccabi then we qualify as seconds - Dynamo top the group. If we lose and Dynamo don't win then we are seconds again in the final standings - Porto first. If we lose we are out - unless Dynamo fail against Maccabi. Porto cannot afford to settle for the draw. We can, after a fashion, but Porto cannot. According to clubelo we are level pegging on points, CFC 1798, Porto 1792.

Cesc, Costa (3), Matic were the open goal chances plus the one that went in. So better in that department. Norwich were poor but they too had a very good chance to go ahead as well (and in the rebound we almost scored). The target is quite clearly to stay away from the relegation zone, until reinforcements arrive.

Trick goal but good one.

We are going to score ... by Good Friday.
-
We need to win this to stay out of trouble. Anything else is in the sphere of the club's finances now.

That person ain't the board. Not in British type of management at any rate. The boards only give info relevant to the budget to the managers.

What would it take to turn the season around?

5 signings. The exact replica of the Chelsea situation was Olympiakos Piraeus of 1987-88. In 1986-87 they won the championship. In 1987-88 they became relegation strugglers, quite against expectation. Then the tycoon George Koskotas became board manager and started buying everything. It was late but Oly came back and they won the cup. In the summer more signings took place, the famous one being Lajos Detari from Eintracht Frankfurt. The Koskotas family were engulfed in a huge economic scandal just a little later and in fact the government had to resign, but that's a different story. Had it not been for the Koskotas money (scandalously earned as well) Oly was a write off, for years at any rate. -
Ranieri lools like an extreme case. Lost to the Hebrides - Seychelles now he seems to be doing well. It proves to me that the board decisions is what influences football fortunes rather than managers. In the case of the Greek national squad, the old guard retired, the youths are amateurs.
-
Mourinho appears useless in buying - transfer listing players. He is good at the bench imho but does n't work for him now.

My criticism of Chelsea matches is no longer based on comparisons with 2014-15, 2013-14. It's a mid-table team as things stand. Bearing this in mind, Chelsea deserved more today. Remy's penalty should have been given - because no advantage accrued. The clinching detail was in my opinion Diego Costa's ineffectiveness. Diego Costa received some good balls but it seems he can only use his shins for control. Slow boat to China. Hazard-Pedro-Ramirez tried some long ones but no luck and Cesc is Spanish waiter in Chancery Lane coffee shop, thereabouts.

Who Chelsea fans hate the most and who dislikes the Blues

It's L'pool obviously. I don't know why though. Never been there. Drove through with car only. I remember the church and I was disappointed because the harbour was blocked with fences allover and there was nothing to see.
