I don't know really. We are waiting for the daily covid bullletin now. They say things are gong relatively well in Greece (in Serbia too I hear). If things return to normal in Greece, to reestablish contact with the rest of the world will take longer I imagine. Maybe next year. The Greek islands I have visited are Crete, Rhodes, Samos, Ikaria, Patmos, Corfu, Egina and for a few hours maybe some others I forget. I spent the last two summer vacations in Ikaria but this year I doubt.

There are a few crazies around who think the virus is a hoax. The first one I came across in facebook I knew he was a certified nutcase so I was not impressed a great deal. But the second one was an artist fairly well known in Greece. I knew he had some strange ideas but I was absolutely astounded when he suggested that all that is happening in Italy is ... a hoax ! I also listened to Donald Trump's crazy speech. They should be locked away ...

Do you know that the covid carrier can infect many people, 10, 20 or harm more in the 14 day period it takes the virus to incubate if he takes no precautions whatsoever ? After that he can't really harm anybody because he is ill and he knows it, but everything happens before. If we become cautious then those of us who got it will infect less people, but the immediate members of our families will be exposed, because families cannot be separated. This sets a theoretical limit to the spread of the disease. If there are at this time X asymptomatic carriers then we can count on approximately 3 . X cases of cv. But there won't be a 3 . X + 1 case because we are all well behaved in the community. Unfortunately this limit is difficult to achieve, but we can try. If everybody is careless then we infect 10 people on the average and we cause a chain reaction. If everybody is cautious then we may take this average down to < 1, which means that the epidemic process decays. But it wiil take weeks before we can talk with any optimism.

My method of stopping cv: - Martial law is declared across Europe. - People are allowed to leave their homes escorted by military or police to do their necessary shopping, or in case of emergency go to the doctor. If this is done early and if we show discipline, things will develop more or less as follows: There will be some more cases of CV with people who have already contracted it and it is now in the asymptomatic stage. Also the people who live together (spouses-parents-children) will be exposed, unavoidably. But the virrus will have fewer and fewer chances to spread and in about one month's time it will die and the emergency measures can be relaxed. But if we show complacency the epidemic (now pandemic) may grow exponentially. The decision in the UK to hold football matches with spectators was foolish and very dangerous.

Let's face it, we were played off the pitch and even before they scored it looked pretty hopeless. Not really. They were lucky back then to qualify against poor Mourinho's Real and have the final at home. But since then they have made good progress whereas we at the European level are going backwards. The Europa against the gooners does n't count of course. We played against one opponent to win that. Willian had a scoring chance and it was outside the area. Unlikely to have dived.

There is no use hiding. The absence of Eden looms heavy. Bats should have scored twice in the first half but chances are there to be missed and it was n't like that with Eden around, even with the poor strikers after Diego.
