  1. Doesn't mean diddly if you can see the pass
  2. In the next year or so I think age will dictate that Robben will decline, so top 4 IMO
  3. Not really. Question is over two games can we 'fucking destroy' them more than they us? City are out closest team to us in the league but look at them in Europe, different animal. Barcelona have a front 3 of messi neymar and Suarez. Madrid are thankfully weaker as a team this year but can still kill everyone on their day, no contest. Be confident this year, we are on the road for something special but don't confuse a checkpoint with a finish line
  4. Unfortunately not Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern.
  5. I meant we could go toe to toe and outplay them
  6. He would allow us to go direct against the biggest teams and beat them
  7. No ground to stand on in saying he wouldn't do well here, heck he'd fit like a glove. Only questions are, is there space in the squad to aquire him? Do we even want him?
  8. I did want pogba, him next to matic and Fabregas would be legendary, but I have high hopes for RLC. Though when I think about it, he's almost 17. By the times he us 21 cesc will be 31/32, matic will be 29 and pogba mid twenties so I don't see why he would stop him. I have always said we need a first team right winger to progress the next level, the greatest teams of past have always had a team which everyone could name the first 11. Reus would be great because he's one of my favourite, but would fit like a glove. Cuadrado too.
  9. He is an all round midfielder. He does not have a designated 'job'. He isn't told to go out, assist or score and don't forget to press! The boss even said costa dies not need to score to do what is needed for the time. Just see the penalty against arsenal, his movement made space. Oscar is there as glue. He supports Costa as the main presser, he drops deep to cover Fabregas, he pulls wide to allow space for Eden and the others behind the striker, he offers options to cesc to keep possession, he covers the space left by the other attackers. He also is there to provide support for the attack. He is not the star, to be honest he is a good cm that plays high but inevitably ends up all over the pitch.
  10. See I think you have agreed with me. Reus does not make pressing on his own, but he would fit in with our pressing game. Also, I don't see how oscar is compared? He is the glue to the team, essentially it's a 4-3-3 with him the forward pressing cm. Reus is an attacking mid or winger, whichever. Schurlle or willian would step aside. Though I do agree I'm not sure how likely this is to happen ( in fact more unlikely than not) but theoretically he would make us take another step
  11. Let me get this straight, you are holding up Scurlle as an example of providing defensive quality over Reus? Have you watched him? He is a beast at pressing, which is all you can say for Scurlle as his defensive positions are crap. Check man city game. Reus is a good profile player for our teams identity
  12. Well depends on the formation because that affects personal, but I see no problem with him on the right. Especially as Ivanovic provides width so we may go back to the days of 'inverted wingers' or players that tend to play across the final third. Obviously one if willian and Schurrle would need to be sold, but considering how some people were saying that willian really needs to step up in terms of productivity this year I don't see how it's so impossible. Don't get me wrong though I don't see any evidence that any of this is going to happen, but it's early
  13. Salah will have to wait to get his chances. You do not drop a player completely after a few bad games, you bench him. Unfortunately for salah, willian comes on instead
  14. This idea that our current team is perfect and cannot be improved is incredible short sighted
  15. To everyone who was moaning at Scurrle's performance yesterday, could imagine him in the team instead with those counter attacking chances? Dynamite.
  16. We have unbelievable fresh pace on the bench and tiring forwards? Come on jose!
  17. Costa has been good off the ball though. His movement made the space for hazard to drive in and get fouled in the box, there was also another time when he dragged Mertesacker near the corner flag! That's why i would personally keep Schurrle on, he is the only one who will get into that space. But I guess once costa comes of I'd bring willian on and oscar on the right like against Swansea. I'm guessing Remy would replace costa.
