  1. The Arabs have had their hands full ever since the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the mass colonizations. Not to mention the long list of incompetent leaders. That is changing though. It will take time, but surely within less than a decade there will be major changes in the region.
  2. Protocols of the Elder of Zion chapter by chapter
  3. I believe he asked you twice if you think Israelis and Palestinians equal. Can you answer that? I am interested in knowing too.
  4. LOL. That is just the most non sense thing I heard on this thread.
  5. I already asked you a simple question, I believe stingray asked you the same. After they leave their homes and you destroy them, what do you expect them to do? Where do you expect them to live?
  6. LOL, you want people to leave there homes to be demolished and go where? Do you even know what your saying? A competent effective military knows how to take out the threat with minimal collateral damage. Not kill more civilians than enemies!
  7. That is really old news. Egyptians hate Hamas, but they can distinguish clearly between Hamas and the Palestinians in Gaza. In case you don't know, we are on fighting militants in Sinai on daily basis, some of which are Hamas, Qaeda and other militant groups. But we care about the Palestinians. However the loss in civilian lives is minimal as we are approaching these operations carefully. Plus, the residents of Sinai are helping the army. That is the key in dealing with such situation. Try to take out the enemy without hurting innocents. But that is not the approach Israel is taking.
  8. That Rafah border will be a major issue with the Egyptians. It will take A LOT of negotiations and Egypt will not be too flexible especially if hamas are controlling the other side.
  9. Arafat sure did as much as he could for the Palestinians. Will always be remembered as a symbol of resistance. The most brilliant thing about this thread, besides what you have mentioned, is that there are third parties. People like yourself, stingray, dion and others who contribute in a rather constructive manner. The more ideas that are brought in, the more information, the different angles of tackling the situation, all this educates everyone more and gives valuable insights. Not to mention it forms lots of cultural bridges.
  10. Oh in that sense I totally agree. Though I think the Palestinians will follow and back up anyone who gives them hope.
  11. I didn't say Arafat wasn't a representative. He was by all means. But he was the symbol of resistance. Not the moderates. I remember his comment about the peace treaty at the time. He is a true face for the resistance. Definetely not a radical, but you can't say he was a moderate. Maybe in the last 10 years before he died. Abbass is more political. Not as popular as Arafat is ofcourse, but definitely more moderate.
  12. Sadat was the smartest of them all. And if the rest of the Arabs would have listened at the time, this region what have been so different. He got Egypt what it wanted and Israel what they needed. May he rest in peace.
  13. I disagree mate, as Abbass is much more moderate. But the real loss was Isaac Rabin. There is also quiet an impressive guy called Shlomo Ben Ami. Quiet impressive and moderate
  14. You also have to remember something buddy, such a proactive peaceful approach by Israel, would put neighbouring countries in a tight spot. They will be forced to help out maintain such achievements and as crazy as this might sound they will actually face Hamas or any other Islamic extremist group that rises. Btw such cooperation between Israel and Egypt already exists but very limited. The Egyptian military has been fighting on daily basis in Sinai now for months and taking out extremists. Some of which are Hamas members. Now that means there is a clear breach of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. Yet Israel does nothing about it. You know why? Because both of them agreed on it, as extremists might target Israel from Sinai, causing a conflict between Egypt and Israel. Countries like Egypt and others will cooperate with Israel to end extremists. Actually you will have more partners than you think. Strategic partners.
  15. I know what you meant . You see as a human race we progress technologically and scientifically. Those are controllable tangible factors. But ethically we remain the same, good and bad and constant fights within. The natural human traits that contain good and bad. Part of these traits is ambition. When ambition is directed to towards wealth excessively that might turn into greed. Ambition of power turns to dictatorship etc. You get what I mean? There are constant human traits and temptations that exist. Depending on ones will, external and internal environment, these either good traits prevail, bad traits prevail or one keeps stumbling back and forth between them.
  16. It has nothing really to do with evolving. The greed and power are part of the human trait. What you see is basically what has been going through the world since the existence of man. Only the tools and the means used differ. That is why you see nations rise to be the most powerful and fall. That is why you have a cycle.
  17. The UN is more like a puppet show man. Totally incompetent.
  18. Dude you seriously need to stop fishing. It is demanded that we pray. Mohammed teaches us to how to pray and the number of prayers. It is demanded that we clean up before praying. Mohammed teaches us the way it is done. We have to give money to the poor. Mohammed teaches us the manner we do it in. We have to go to pilgrimage to Mecca. Mohammed teaches us what to do when we go there. Let me simplify because you seem to be so over excited in your fishing attempts. There is a job title and a job description. e.g Marketing manager. So basically you know your job function has something to do with Marketing. job description is the required task you need to perform for that title. So God tells us to pray, Mohammed teaches us how to pray and how many times. Easy enough now? Again on what basis do you say the apostates killing is in the Quran. So I do not need to prove it is false. People who believe it is true have to show evidence. Such strong law verily would be mentioned by God. About the amputation, stoning, etc. Now In one of my posts I gave an example of the punishment of killing. I made it clear FROM THE QURAN that the two extreme things you can do to a killer is 1) kill him, 2)forgive him. Now that is a broad spectrum. Societies choose what to do. Don't you believe in democracy? Let nations choose their laws. So in between forgiveness, and killing, there is prison, there is payment, there is social work, and there are combos. Same applies to adultery (stoning) and theft( amputation). You have the two extreme limits. Punishment and Forgiveness. In between you have a broad spectrum of thing depending on what society wants. Can you have a law in your country if the majority of the population oppose it? NOPE. Same as in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other Arab countries with Muslim majority. Again the punishment and forgiveness is mentioned in the Quran. And they serve as guidelines to the boundaries of punishment. People have to determine for themselves. That is simply why Sharia law does not exist. Because the punishment is so flexible but with known limits. Clear?
