Hats off to Conte. The game plan. Has worked. We press them in spurts and when we press them they look very average.
-
Closseeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
-
Great play from Willian

cunt ref

Yeah we're just watching them now instead of pressing. We started really well pressing them!
-
We were pressing them to start the game why are watching them now?
-
We should be pressing them high up the pitch. We have the quality to hurt them

Sackable decision. I've given up home in this man. He's probably going to walk in the summer anyway. He moans about money for transfer and leaves two of our only recognizable strikers on the bench. Shameful.

I swear if Conte produces anti-football in this game i'm not going to forgive him.

So these are Conte's options. (1) Play 3-4-3 and go with Kante and Drinkwater with Hazard, Morata, Pedro/Willian (2) Play 3-5-2 and go with Drinkwater, Fabregas and Kante with Hazard and Morata. I'm going with option (1) for the home tie and option (2) for the away tie. The 3-5-2 has run its course at home. We need to go 3-4-3 and try and make a statement at SB because we'll get nothing at Camp Nou. My worst fear is that this could be a repeat of the Chelsea v Man City tie at SB earlier in the season. Conte has so far shown to have serious problems against possession dominant teams. He's already said in the press conference we should be prepared to "suffer a lot" which says something about our probable approach. In Barcelona's last game against Eibar, they were pressed very high up the pitch relentlessly which bothered them a lot. Conte's Chelsea doesn't press. We just sit back. We really should consider a high press and 3-4-3 gives us a better chance to press them more efficiently with an extra body in attack (Willian/Pedro) than a 3-5-2. The 3-5-2 also means that defensively, our main source of width, our fullbacks will get pinned back by Alba and Roberto. I don't believe Conte is going to start Giroud in this game also. He will likely be used as target man to come off the bench and give us a more direct option. I just hope Conte knows what he's doing.

I'm not sure what the disagreement is. They were controlling the game before Morata got hurt. I don't seem to remember anyone complaining that Morata's injury cost us too much. They were totally dominating us with him on the pitch.
-
They were dominating us completelty with Morata on the pitch. The flow of the game didn't change drastically when he got hurt

Good call by Conte to basically state the obvious and get it out of the way. So what does he do? (1) Play 3-4-3 and go with Kante and Drinkwater with Hazard, Morata, Pedro/Willian (2) Play 3-5-2 and go with Drinkwater, Fabregas and Kante with Hazard and Morata. I'm going with option (1) for the home tie and option (2) for the away tie. The 3-5-2 has run its course at home. We need to go 3-4-3 and try and make a statement at SB because we'll get nothing at Camp Nou.

I'm starting Pedro all day long. Willian always flatters to decieve against good teams plus Pedro offers something different from Hazard. We need his long range shooting and he's much more clinical in front of goal than Willian and won't make stupid decisions in the final 3rd. We are going to have limited chances in our upcoming matches against Barca and City so we need clinical players. I'm not going to get carried away by Willian continually doing well against trash opposition. It will be a mistake to start Willian as far as I'm concerned.

And some psychos claim Neymar is better than Hazard lol. What a piss poor display.
-
Hazard has won 3 player of the year awards for Chelsea tied with Lampard and was the driving force behind 2 PL title. People like to mythologize the past. Personally I've never heard anyone say that but anyone that puts those two ahead of him is stupid. At this point its only Lampard, Drogba and JT that are ahead.
-
104 – Eden Hazard has had a hand in 104 goals in the Premier League for Chelsea (67 goals, 37 assists) – only Didier Drogba (159) and Frank Lampard (237) have been involved in more for the club. Icons.
-
That's not true to be honest. You live in Brazil so you don't really know what you're talking about. Here in the UK and with match going fans and fans hanging around pubs near the Bridge watching the game, Hazard is easily the most loved player. Just because he doesn't have a song doesn't mean much (and he should, that's absolutely ridiculous) lol. Even Drogba didn't necessarily have a song but Willian does. Has nothing to do with loving a player.
-
Jardim should be in the poll as well.
-
2 wins in 10 games. All those clubs except Arsenal will die for a Rudiger, Drinkwater, Fabregas or Giroud. Those trying to relive Conte of the bulk of the blame should be ashamed. His tactical blunders are shocking and he's an incredibly stubborn person.
-
Rudiger is better than Cahill. Drinkwater is better than Bakayoko. Fabregas is our only creative midfielder. The false 9 doesn't work. Have you been watching Chelsea this season?
-
The most disgusting thing is that when he's sacked this lunatic board will be going for names like Simeone. Names that will produce even worse brands of barely watchable football and will cry about transfer money to spend all season long. Conte, Mourinho, Simeone.. They're all the same high maintanance types.
-
Maybe if he actually picked the right players they wouldn't be beset by fear. It's easy to be fearful when you know you're an ordinary player like Cahill playing for a big team. But he had Rudiger, Drinkwater, Fabregas and Giroud on the bench and makes the same tactical blunders. Miss me with that bulls***
-
I'll still be looking at him to be honest. Nagelsmann and Hasenhuttl are also interesting options from the Bundesliga. Jardim will be my first choice right now. Since we can no longer compete financially with the world's top clubs, its only logical we start to go for managers that can bring through our youth. We don't need managers right now that cast envious glances on how much Guardiola and Mourinho are able to spend. Conte doesn't understand this isn't 2005 anymore. It's a source of great embarrasment when I look at Spurs with the likes of Kane, Alli and Dier and after winning back to back European youth cups the best our manager can show for it is 10 mins here and there. So Jardim, Tuchel and Nagelsmann in that order. d for the Bayee

He will be the perfect manager for us but its a pipe dream
