  1. He's an average player and ultimately redundant with Kante in the side. He's still young but his future at the club is cast in a shroud of mystery as long as Kante is still at the club. A Kante partner has to combine the physical aspect with great technique and an ability to make quick, forward incisive passes and quick decisions on the ball. Chipping in with goals is also a bonus. Bakayoko has none of these qualities and it's not even his fault. Anyone who watched him in Monaco already knew it. He's a terrible fit for us whether it's a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-3. He's awful in either one as he lacks any sort of creativity, passing skills, goal threat and is an average defensive midfielder compared to Kante. Why our board decided to prioritize his signing is truly beyond me and further speaks to their grotesque incompetence.
  2. Everyone with half a brain was asking for a complete midfielder that can be capable physically, technically and can make quick decisions and forward passes to pair with Kante. We still have a huge hole in midfield with no suitable partner for Kante. Bakayoko and Fabregas are not the answer. It wouldn't have cost us a huge amount of money to sign such a player. If we were willing to spend 40 mil on Bakayoko it shouldn't This lack of balance is another reason why we've been dilly dallying back and forth between a 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 which has cost us some points/bad results this season. It's just crazy how the people in charge of one of the biggest clubs in the world can't see obvious imbalances in our squad. Simple basic shit. Sign a Tolisso. Someone, a CM of that ilk. Its just weird to me. I manage my squad better in Football Manager FFS.
  3. Who do you think is responsible for signing Serie A mediocrity when our manager just so happens to be Italian and has coached in the Italian league? Smarten up man. Now that Emenalo is gone, there's no longer a scapegoat to blame for awful transfers.
  4. Don't forget Ake too who is twice the player. And some knobhead was complaining the match thread that Ake celebrated his goal. Unreal.
  5. Its clear last season he really benefited from lack of European football and any serious injuries. This season he has to coach weekends and midweek and rotate his squad and he has been terrible at that. His summer signings have also been woeful, bringing mediocre Serie A players no one has ever heard of and Bakayoko who no one really wanted. He's shown so far to be just have negative as Mourinho. His football is just shit-on-a-stick one big snoozefest. I long for the day in this "Abramovich Era" we can sign a manager that can produce good football a'la a Guardiola, Klopp or Pochettino.
  6. The worst player to wear our armband in 40 years. The fact that occurs in one of our most successful periods in our history is beyond baffling.
  7. His tactics and transfer dealings have been beyond woeful this season. Boy, did I over-estimate this guy last season.
  8. With this policy set in place every true Chelsea fan has to question the future of this side. City and United have a endless pit of money to spend from. Liverpool and Spurs play more progressive football than us and are frankly better football teams. We're in the middle of nowhere now. We have no clue what we're doing. The board, the manager, the players. Everything seems so haphhazard and random right now.
  9. The commentator said we're toothless. Of course we're fucking toothless. How many games have we started this season without a striker for whatever reason?! Injuries, suspension, lack of trust from the manager. Its frankly bizzarre! We shouldn't even be 3rd right now because we don't deserve it.
  10. This is Chelsea 0-3 Sunderland 2010 all over again. That season spelt the end for Ancelotti.
  11. With Fraser and Wilson for the mighty Bournemouth he must be scared of something. God knows how many defenders he'll try and fit into the XI against Barcelona.
  12. This is why having strikers is important. Morata is either suspended or injured nowadays. Batshuayi not trusted. We're atrocious with no reference point of attack.
  13. Why are people still arguing this Neymar vs Hazard bullshit? So disrespectful to Eden not that the comparison is disrespectful but Hazard doesn't have to prove himself to anyone anymore. He's already shown he's one of the world's best time after time. The silly comparisons to every good player out there by the media and other fans is annoying enough. Maybe we can find some refuge in a Chelsea board away from that crap? Hazard is a legend at this club. We don't need to validate him. Some Chelsea fans will literally argue anything that has to do with Hazard. Hazard v Lucas Moura, Hazard v Martial , Hazard v Coutinho. From Hazard v Kagawa in 2013 to Hazard v Mbappe in 2018. Stop it. These are stupid and disrespectful comparisons. We don't do the same with Lamps, JT, Zola and Drog.
  14. Look on the bright side. We've avoided humiliation against City in the finals.
  15. Conte doesn't have the balls for it though.
  16. Thoroughly outplayed us in the 2nd half. This is truly embarrassing what we've become. We're now Arsenal's whipping boys
  17. Debut for Ross. Please do that number proud
  18. Willian is hilarious. And not in a good way
  19. Very lazy play since the Hazard goal. Standing off them and letting them pick their passes. Already started looking for the counter-attack there
  20. Willian would have found a way to fuck up that pass to Hazard. I heard he's only ever had 1 assist for Hazard in his career or something ludicrous like that.
  21. I just want us to keep on playing football and not revert to counter-attacking football now we're leading
  22. Arsenal are a joke. That was truly pathetic
