  1. When has Gallagher ever taken one at the top level? I knew the moment James got injured, we'd be in a dodgy position regarding a set taker. Players shouldn't be chosen based on statue.
  2. It's always when someone shows a bit of life that his happens. Carney could be out for a while.
  3. I really hope he goes from strength to strength. It feels like an age since we last had a regular scorer from midfield.
  4. It's going to take some sort of assault from a Utd player before a PK is given against them.
  5. To think he's their captain too. Crazy!
  6. Osimhen doing what he does best. I really hope a move will materialise over the next 12 months.
  7. Neither player is worth the rumoured fees. I honestly thought the latter was younger, tbh. Most players making the move are going for inflated prices, so I don't think any action will actually be taken.
  8. Mitrovic is supposedly going for €50m, so there's nothing surprising about this aside from another younger player making the move.
  9. As I've been saying for a number of months, I'm actually shocked no one has made a move for him. Brighton's ability to get blood from a stone is probably a big reason why. He's by far the best player they have, IMO.
  10. I'm sure I remember him being vocal not too long ago about the potential clubs he'd like to join, and we weren't one of them.
  11. We were at our best when our squad was full of players from Africa, so it would be an decision to dismiss potential stars due to that.
  12. Did he score? I never said we should be signing him, but only pointing out the chances he missed rather than his finish doesn't paint a clear picture. We need a goalscorer. It's as simple as that.
  13. A number of players from the Moroccan NT deserve more praise. Yep. He joined Wolfsburg less than a week ago.
  14. The Saudi Pro League finally gets the marquee signing they were after. If they continue to sign players at the same pace, the league will be better than most in Europe.
  15. I agree. Jackson had a great chance later on in the first half that should have given us the lead, but our setup was too reliant on him leading the line on his own. Mudryk's introduction gave him the support he needed for large parts, and it almost resulted in the former scoring his first league goal. I'd like to think another central attacker will be joining as a result of Nkunku's layoff.
  16. All things considered, we probably should have walked away from the match with all three points. Enzo was immense, and despite Gallagher's obvious flaws, he put in a good performance for the most part.
  17. I was actually excited for a Chelsea game for the first time in a while, but seeing Sterling in the starting XI has tempered that. Looking at Liverpool's XI, if they don't score first, we will have a great chance of ending that record of draws against them.
  18. Forrest could be easily winning this game.
  19. This is exactly where my head is. If this does go through, we'll have other clubs try to play us like a fiddle when we come calling.
  20. I think it's clear that Boehly and Co. are dying for a marquee signing. It's just a matter of when rather than if.
  21. I wouldn't go that far. He'd instantly be the best player in our squad by some margin, but his attitude and injury record wouldn't make me feel confident in his ability to deliver regularly.
  22. So much for that (if reports are true). 😔
  23. I agree to an extent. It's a good model in theory, but I hope we just don't go down the same path as before by having youngsters on our books till their mid twenties. If someone doesn't show enough within 24 months, we should be looking to get shot regardless of how it will affect us financially.
  24. It's still hard to swallow for those that have been following the league for an age (me included), but we have to get with the times or be left behind.
