  1. You can always thank Arsenal for choking. The fact they've won the same number of league games as City despite everything sums them up. Liverpool will hopefully have nothing to play for when they face us.
  2. In the last 24 hours, I've seen a lot of reports claiming that they've reached an agreement on a £40 million deal for Osimhen (Hojlund may be going back to Italy). It's hard to actually take these reports at face value, considering they don't really care if they are right or wrong. They just want to be the first to report anything & everything.
  3. The way they are dragging their feet with announcing the outcome, I'm starting to feel the same way. If it were so cut and dry, they'd be following a similar fate to Juve.
  4. Wouldn't it be better for all teams below Arsenal to be in the mix? More chances for us rather than just two considering City's favourable run after the cup semi.
  5. Disasi still being fielded as a FB. He was done time after time against PSG. I'm not exactly thrilled by the result, tbh. A draw would have been preferred.
  6. He was out from Feb to early April making this stat much worse than it already is. I'll keep banging this drum till the cow's come home - He's a WF.
  7. Part of that "Mendes group", so I wouldn't be surprised if he made his feels known. He gave the Fulham fans what for after scoring as well. George & Josh has shown their ability in the Conference league. It's time they are given a run in the league with injuries/lack of options being an issue.
  8. I almost mentality clocked off with about 20 minutes left, and thought it would be a miracle to score even one goal. It was significant that we were able to overcome a deficit and win our first away game in nine league games. I found it hilarious that after scoring, Neto swerved Maresca and ran to the bench. They should keep in mind that they are playing for the badge above anything if they really have something against him. The front four who finished the game should certainly start against Everton. Our squad issues could be problematic, though. Nkunku was left out for tactical reasons, Jackson almost playing out of necessity. Our RB situation is all over the place aswell. This right here is exactly why he needs to be gone in the summer regardless of how our season ends. Always tempering expectations rather than encouraging those at his disposal.
  9. Tuchel was sacked for a reason. No top manager is a "Yes" man, so good luck with the wishful thinking under current ownership.
  10. We need more than a new manager at this point.
  11. It's like the squad don't even want to be on the pitch today. If Fulham get a second soon, we'll be on the end of a hammering.
  12. James as a midfielder ..... Colwill didn't even attempt to close the shot down. How on earth did anyone think he was some wonderkid?
  13. His comments about us no having any leaders really got to me - https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/you-dont-have-a-leader-Chelsea-boss-enzo-maresca-aims-veiled-dig-at-captain-reece-james-again-as-he-bemoans-lack-of-dressing-room-commanders/ar-AA1DdySM?ocid=BingNewsSerp It's his role to lead from the touchline and help encourage a youthful squad, not complain about the obvious especially after our current run of form.
  14. Win or bust for our slim CL hopes. It's a London derby as well, so if the players can't motivate themselves, we're in a worse position than I thought.
  15. It isn't of that much importance to me. 😄
  16. Costa, Jorginho, etc. I could write an entire list of players that fall into a similar category. Either way, I still believe it's poorly written. An accurate headline would be - Dutch born Spanish international.
  17. James' recent comments say everything. There's literally no pressure on them, and they couldn't give two shits about turning this around. Talk about the stark difference between this lot compared to what happened during AVB's tenure. In no world should this current crop have any sort of "player power".
  18. I know his background, but he's a Spanish international. It's like saying Grealish & Rice are Irish internationals because of their heritage & having played youth football for Ireland. To me, it's misinformation and sloppy journalism.
  19. I wouldn't trust an article mentioning the wrong national team even with him clearly wearing a Spanish jersey in the picture too.
  20. Not to mention his awful injury record. You've covered almost everything and exactly why he shouldn't of been considered in the first place. People have their own preferences as to what I want from a captain - vocal type, someone who does their talking through performances, etc. I have always felt a mixture of both is exactly what you want especially when things aren't going your way. Since JT, we haven't had that person (credit to Azpi for his haul during his time). With the way things are going, we won't have another authoritative figure in our side until current ownership.
  21. We have a CWC just around the corner, so it will be a little while before we have a break.
  22. Our captain coming with such a comment. Imagine JT doing the same.
  23. Having "yes" men without any authority is why. The board didn't like Tuchel being vocal. I feel a loan signing was decent business without any obligations. If rumours are to be believed, signing him to avoid a £5m fee is beyond stupid. Just can't stand the current owners. They have no connection with the fans at all. It's draining to sit through. The thought that there's the slightest chance we end the season well is the real killer, though.
  24. Without Palmer delivering, we have no cutting edge. The majority of this squad aren't good enough to begin with. Talk of keeping Sancho on is exactly why we are in such a state.
