I'm sure Allegri's appointment is playing a part. He probably had hope that working with him again might change his mind. Felix deal should have been enough of an indicator for current management, tbh. As others have reported, clubs know we have at deadline, and they are trying to take advantage any way possible. If we don't get this done for the CWC, the club should walk away.

We are partially to blame. How many times have we loaned players to Italian clubs for peanuts with no obligations? Stop doing business with them unless it's in our favour.
-
He's the modern day Ben Afra/Nasri. The talent is there in boatloads, but his application is the issue. Pep might be able to sort that side of his game out & get a De Bruyne replacement in the process.
-
Starting for Brazil in Ancelotti's first game in charge. KO in under 20 mins.
-
Talent wise, he's probably the best teenager to play the game (Pele might be in the eyes of those around his time).
-
They are playing hardball, that's it. It seems like we're partially to blame with an insult offer as well.
-
They are getting a hefty fee for Reijnders and Hernandez is supposedly off to Saudi. I doubt they need THAT much.
-
As with any Chelsea signing, my initial feelings are cast aside. He's now a Blue, so I'm hoping he hits the ground running. He will prove to be a steal if he can have half the impact Palmer has had since joining.
-
I had Maignan in mind when I made the comment. We wouldn't be signing a GK of his calibre to bench him. If the move does actually materialise, we could certainly alternate during the group phase (providing we are in a good position).
-
Exactly what I was thinking. For that type of money, we should be going after WC talent. Kudus, while playing for a struggling West Ham team, has been far too inconsistent.
-
I feel like it will have to be Jorgensen. Penders is supposedly meant to be part of our CWC squad, but it would be stupid to have him rot on our bench at a crucial time in his development.
-
It's three or four years too late, in my opinion. He's not the GK he used to be.

You forgot to mention Everton as well. I feel like he needs to be "that guy", and that wasn't the case, especially during his second spell at Chelsea. Had we signed him during Conte's spell, he might have proven to be a decent signing, nothing more. I agree with your evaluation, though. Some players can't handle the speed or high tempo matches while they are afforded breathers in La Liga or Serie A. The physical aspect isn't as important as it was 20 years ago, but it will be interesting to see if Estevao bulks up from Aug to the start of next year. Rogers would do. I just feel like will continue to buy Conference/EL standard players that might suit the likes of Tottenham rather than us. We need someone that will show a real sign of intent. I do wonder what will happen with Diallo should this signing be confirmed. He's one player I actually rank from their squad. Last time I checked, Ligue 1 was considered one of the top five leagues especially during that period when you had the likes of Ronaldinho plying their trade there. The press will print anything for clicks.

I personally believe he'd be a better signing than any winger we purchase during this window.
-
£60m layout, £300kpw~, and 27 in two days. Not to mention his only productive seasons have come in Portugal. It shouldn't surprise anyone why people aren't jumping through hoops for him. Tell me the last 27 yr old to not have played in any of Europe's top leagues and delivered.
-
He's another Haller without the impressive goalscoring record in Germany.
-
His age and wages will immediately kill any noise about that being a possibility. He would have been the first elite signing signalling a real intention to be back amongst Europe's elite.
-
He has no clue what's going. That's what I'm worried about as well. I feel he'll just be another winger who can't be relied on, which is already a big enough problem with the wingers on our books. Admire someone else. Every time I've watched him play for Japan or Parma, he's bee awful. He's like Onana without the passing ability.
-
It seems like Rodrygo is staying after talks with Alonso. Rogers is certainly my first choice. His rise from playing at Middlesborough to staring in the CL is something noteworthy.
-
He definitely isn't an upgrade at whatever price Palace are asking for now. No European experience either, so he doesn't even have that going for him. As always, there's better value overseas (Pacho cost €40m last summer). His commitment, or lack thereof, was also a major issue, which played a significant role in his poor spell at Barca. He would rather stay up all night playing Fortnite than go to training in the morning. As Enrique touched on after last night's game, he was running back and filling in for Hakimi multiple times. I guess he maybe needed to just "grow up" and have a manager he connects with.

LA Galaxy beat Club America to secure the final place at the CWC and will be in our group in place of Club Leon. A reunion with Giroud.
-
A few summers ago, Leao would have been the name (for me anyway). He & Milan have regressed massively. The latter & Dembele still have a chance at Nations League glory as well. I feel a European Ballon d'Or winner is nailed on, though.
-
I feel an Mbappe/RM triumph at the CWC is the only thing that could stop him seeing as the AFCON was pushed to December.
-
They bought Kvaratskhelia in Jan. If we actually want to kick on, they've have to make a statement signing sooner rather than later.
-
Liverpool took them to PK's, Villa were moments away from taking them to ET. PSG deserve all the credit and are deserving winners based on their KO form, but this Inter side looked broken the moment the whistle blew. A number of their starters playing who clearly weren't fit. Bisseck's cameo summed up their night.
