  1. Precisely. If Tuchel's main targets aren't available, just wait. We're still dealing with a massive amount of deadwood as a result of doing the exact opposite for far too long.
  2. Not sure how he'd fair at CB in the Prem, but it's nice to have options. This window's dealings shouldn't be as hard as we're making it; Koulibaly, FDJ, Dembele (or Sterling, as things are looking) & someone like Cornet would be a solid window in all fairness. If Leipzig's duo continue to perform, go after them next year & we'd only really be short of a DMF.
  3. I could see the possibility of De Jong being sold to us to make way for Raphinha to join them. It would be better business for us IMO.
  4. It's going to be funny or sad, depending which way you look at it, when we see who we end up with come September, having been linked with every Tom, Dick, and Harry.
  5. Sterling going to earn as much as Salah. The world we live in 😄 Bastoni
  6. Ampadu & Sarr. The lack of quality is frightening.
  7. If a player wants to go somewhere else, we should stop negotiations immediately.
  8. I'm not disputing that. However, we still have no concrete idea who will end up making the all-important decisions about transfers rather than hearsay.
  9. Aren't Bayern just a side he's been offered to? Either way, anyone that knows the slightest about Bayern knows that they aren't going to break their entire structure for him. Mbappe wanting Neymar out only for him to be replaced by someone even bigger would be hilarious.
  10. If reports are to be believed, we're currently the only side of note with a serious interest. He isn't going to end up at a team like Napoli.
  11. He's willing to leave them to win something. That in itself will do enough to damage his legacy.
  12. I don't expect the club to offer a player at 37 a two-year+ contract. A year to win something notable before going to America or going back to SCP would make sense.
  13. I was of the same mindset until recently. If we are planning to let Broja go, then moving for Ronaldo seems like a no-brainer for 12 months. This will most likely be for one season only, so I find it hard to imagine there will be a meltdown within that time. Fluidity over substance can't continue. 14. As I posted a few days ago, Ronaldo can back up his ego. The two aren't comparable to me.
  15. If Lukaku took the chances that were given to him, he'd still be here. There's a big reason why he failed so badly, aside from his lack of fitness. Out of curiosity, are you against the idea of signing Neymar as well?
  16. First I've heard of him being the top target this window. Of course, a lot has changed - just take the Kounde saga as a prime example.
  17. I'd be very surprised if that was the case.
  18. I think it's a given Dembele was his top target. It makes our rumoured handling of the matter even more baffling.
  19. I know, there just doesn't seem to be any sort of repercussion for it. I'm sure if anyone with power thoroughly investigated them, they'd face a similar fate to Juve back in the 00's or worse. RM have an ageing squad, so they will have to strike gold where a number of positions are concerned to prevent regression.
  20. It just goes to show how corrupt football is. I dare to think how much debt they're in, but they manage to get a few new shiny toys each summer. Making a mockery of whatever FFP is supposed to do.
  21. To lead the line? Having no competent understudy or equal to Benzema won't work for another season.
  22. With RM's failure to sign Mbappe, I could see him returning to Madrid until they sign "the next best thing".
  23. If Newcastle are genuinely interested, I could see them making a big offer. Just look at what they paid for Wood.
  24. There may be, but we're clearly his fallback option. That should never be the case, regardless of the player.
  25. That's only where the transfer fee is concerned. Haaland's total package far exceeds whatever Tottenham will outlay for the former.
