  1. So much for his €75m release clause. At that price, he's better than the targets we've been linked with aside from Dembele.
  2. The same thing could have been said about Chalobah 12 months ago; what's the difference?
  3. Raphinha's is Deco. Former players doing their bit.
  4. They need to score too. That front three shouldn't scare any of the teams that finished above them. If that is the sole reason, we really should stay clear. No matter how much of a fan I am of his (been following since he broke onto the scene with Rennes), players should be worried about playing time & winning with a move in mind, not their bank account.
  5. One backs up his ego even at the age of 37. The two aren't comparable in the slightest.
  6. I'm not sure what Werner's weaknesses have got to do with Pulisic, which you brought up. At this point, I couldn't care less if any of our attackers left (this season could be make or break for Havertz).
  7. He's physically weak & has little to nothing to help address that. Look at Davies when he joined Bayern compared to now - Mentality. They did with Arthur, so there's previous.
  8. I think there's little chance we end up selling him and Werner in the same window having lost Lukaku already.
  9. Pulisic has played 115 games for the club. How many more games are we going to give him to reach his "potential"?
  10. Roman's era didn't end 3 years ago - Arsenal FC - All transfers | Transfermarkt
  11. I guess we'll have to find another suitor for Kepa then.
  12. They are supposedly interested in Pulisic. A swap plus cash deal could be ideal for both.
  13. If he's the real deal, most of the big clubs will be after him next season.
  14. I'm just stating which I'd prefer. However, in all fairness, neither will elevate us to title contenders. We should be solely targeting the best players available within our reach, not ones that are doing their bit for relegation sides or fifth choices for the sides we have ambitions of catching.
  15. I'm all for that. We want players that play for the collective rather than themselves. I'm slightly surprised that people are so keen on this transfer but see Richarlison as a dire move. Also, the same individuals are happy to see us go for his Brazilian understudy (Jesus) too. At £50-60m for either, it shouldn't be hard to choose IMO.
  16. If there's any truth in him moving, he'll have to take a notable pay cut regardless.
  17. What good did that do with Malouda? No point in being bitter as a club. Take another loss on a striker and keep clear of Belgians on the whole.
  18. Nice change. Hopefully it will pay off.
  19. If we are really interested in all of them, it should be a no-brainer. One of them is in a class of his own, and I've made my admiration for him known here for a number of years.
  20. Let's hope he gets more of a look in than Gallagher did last preseason.
  21. Seems like those concerned want him away from the team ASAP, so they are happy whatever it takes.
  22. I didn't say he was needed, but would help address one of the main deficiencies in the squad. At some point, we have to think about fixing them rather than hoping year on year. I remember having a discussion with @Jase at a similar time last year and he said we'll be in a good position if our more attack mind players hit double figures in all competitions; we all know how that planned out. Going into another season expecting anything different from the same crop is insane tbh.
  23. There was talk of Sarri wanting RLC, so using him as a makeweight plus cash would be smart business. You've been crying out for a consistent goal scorer from midfield ever since Lamps left.
  24. I don't see Bastoni as a gamble at all, and he has a much bigger upside. The issue for me is his supposed desire to remain in Italy; I'd steer clear if there's any truth to it.
