  1. I was just being philosophical . Sorry man. I reckon he'll miss 4 sitters this season. Hopefully no more than that .
  2. Cesc as a no. 8 all day. I have faith in Oscar as our no. 10. Cech or Courtois? I'll leave my sig and profile pic to answer that question . CR7 all day. Much better player ATM. Zidane and Pele. The other 2 are detestable human beings so I struggle to like them as much as others. Dislike both. Before this year I'd say Brazil, but the media wankfest and that little tit Neymar made me hate them almost as much. I'll say neither ;P. Coke. Windows. Ferrari. Dodge Viper. Boobs all day. Beautiful face. It's what you look at more. Blondes. Maths. Dark chocolate. Belgian chocolate. PS4. Used to be PES as it was more fun, then it tried to be too much like FIFA and lost it's way around 2010. So now FIFA. Not really one for political debate. I'm well informed enough to make a decision. Batman is the best. But Marvel overall. Avengers are all really good and the movie was incredible. Dogs. Cats are cool too though !! Half empty. I'm a realist though, not a pessimist. Chicken came first. Evolution suggests so. I won't bore you by explaining the theory . They all seem pretty straight to me if that's what you're asking. But if you're asking me to choose between them? Then is go with Spike. He seems pretty cool. Even for an Aussie .
  3. Viper because i'm a big fan of WWE, and Randy Orton "The Viper" especially. 22 because that's the day I was born. I think we'll win the PL and the League Cup. Semis of the FA Cup and CL. Man City will finish 2nd I reckon, Man Utd 3rd and Arsenal 4th. Liverpool a distant 6th behind Spurs. Costa will score 17 goals in the league this season and 7 more in the cups, so 24 over all I reckon. Torres doesn't cost us goals. He's never blocked shots. Maybe we'd score more with other players in the same positions he was but I don't think he costs us any. I reckon he'll be our 2nd choice striker this season (unfortunately) but score 15 goals I reckon. I will answer the other questions later .
  4. Closed. That might be my outlook thanks to the current economic climate in the UK atm but I hate the idea that people have gone to Uni to better themselves and still can't find jobs. But then the world is more accessible to those that want to travel than ever before, so it's open in that way. If that answers your question?
  5. Favourite book is probably.... Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie. Tbh any of his books, he is really an amazing author. I also like Sabriel, Lireal, Abhorsen books by Garth Nix and anything by Dan Brown and Andy McNab go down well. My favourite band changes a lot as I usually like songs rather than bands. When I was younger I was a bit of a metal head and my favourite band was Bullet for my Valentine. Then it was probably Pendulum, now probably Green Day or Michael Buble (i've got an odd music taste). Favourite album ever is either In Silico by Pendulum, American Idiot by Green Day, Basket Case by Green Day or Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. Favourite song at the present time is As She's Walking away by Zac Brown & Alan Jackson, bit of country never hurt anyone!! I would say both. Sounds like a shit answer but I feel that with books I can get immersed more which is amazing sometimes but other times it's hard that you can't share it with anyone else, stuff like Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory and WWE are really great things to watch with the family/friends/missus. I want to go on to research preferably. Teaching has never been a prospect for me. I'd make a decent one I reckon but I get too impatient sometimes, and one slip up and that would be the end of my job. Am I doing a survey? I don't know what you mean? Ahah...haha....ha . The city is actually nicknamed the tub, for the people that live there, so I guess other people think like you....
  6. Excellent news. Looking forward to seeing Andre welcomed back as a world cup winner
  7. University of Bath for both my previous degree and my future masters. I studied Biochemistry (4 Years w/ Sandwich Placement), now going on to do my Masters in Chemistry for Drug Discovery, then hopefully onto a PhD in Antibiotic Resistance. I'm a Chelsea fan because I was brought up being one. My dad is a Chelsea fan and his brother was a West Ham fan, and they used to have actual fights over it when they were younger, so when I was born my mum said "If he's going to support anyone, it has to be the same as you, Chelsea." So there it was. I've never considered any other team and I never will. My blood truly is blue . That is a hard question...I'll go with Emma Stone. She was incredible in Zombieland and I just feel that Watson has been... tainted.... by the whole child star thing and would be pretty mental. Stone is fit as anything too.
  8. Trust me, you didn't see his performance. At least Torres teases us with glimpses of his former self on turns and dribbles. Giroud was 100% awful, not one good thing all match.
  9. I've personally always rated Hernandez very highly. Very good player and happy to sit on the bench. There's also rumours of LVG not wanting him and wanting to offload him. I agree with the Benteke assessment though, he'd offer a nice alternative to Costa.
  10. Seeing as i'm quite new here, i'll introduce myself for some people who may not know me: I'm Dale, 22 and recently graduated from University. I'm going back in September to do a Masters and hopefully on to a PhD. I've been a Chelsea fan for as long as I remember (literally I cannot remember a time when I wasn't surrounded by Chelsea merch and loved the club with all of my heart). That's the key stuff I guess, ask me whatever you like!
  11. Hernandez? Remy? Jay Rodriguez? Benteke? What would be our best bet do you reckon?
  12. I was at the game yesterday. Giroud was fucking terrible. Even his own fans were booing him around the pitch by the end of the game. He made Torres look good.
  13. I like Schurrle but i'm not keen on him playing striker for us if we're going for the title. He's very good but not quite that good. Both Costa and Cavani can and have played on the wings before so if we just rotated who played striker around between games or even during the game it would keep them both happy and be a fucking nightmare to try and mark for the defenders. And that's if neither of them gets injured. We'll play around 70 games or so this season I reckon, 35 games would be enough for both of them to be happy I reckon.
  14. 2 people walking through a graveyard and see a gravestone which reads: "Here lies John Smith; a loyal QPR fan and a good, honest man". 1 of the people turns to the other and says: "When in the fuck did they start burying 2 people in 1 grave?"
  15. We could keep 2 strikers happy throughout the course of a season with rotation and that's all we'd need. Drogba hasn't come back to play tons of games and he knows he's a bit part player. And Torres can frankly fuck himself. What is the worst thing he could do? Start missing sitters for us and request to be transfer listed?
  16. Oh jesus.... Feel like i'm nowehere near as interesting as the others that have gone before (especially looking at Kev here) but i'll try my best to answer any question anyone has. There's very little i'm not happy to talk about!
  17. The most annoying thing about this all is that a top quality back up striker is the final piece to the puzzle in my opinion. If we get that then I truly believe we'll win the league, a cup and maybe the CL. Sounds over positive I know but say we signed Cavani, we would then have 7 world class players in Costa, Cavani, Courtois, Cech, Fabregas, JT and Hazard. That's world class down the spine of our team (GK-CB-CM-ST) as well as Hazard (and we know how good he can be) along with world class back-up for arguably the 2 most important positions on the pitch - GK and ST. Couple that with having very good players elsewhere around the pitch and on the bench and a few promising young squad players and I don't see how we can go wrong... Everything is almost perfect, we just need 1 more striker and we'll be ready.
  18. Man City have Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic and Negredo. All world class strikers, we should be able to have at least 2 world class strikers in our team so I don't think it's naive. Bony would be great though I agree.
  19. Back on topic, are all the lads back in training now? Especially the Brazilians and Schurrle? Even if they are, what are the chances of us seeing them in this game? I don't think I can take seeing Torres on our wing/pitch/planet again.
  20. It's Agony Aunt day and a half on the TC forums, did no-one tell you? .
  21. He was rumoured to have a buy back clause of £5.5M but I think they expire after time rather than when a new contract is signed? Maybe I'm wrong though, in which case, good business.
  22. It's good you're not over-reacting to this or anything... I suppose he'll also then go on to go back in time and kill the baby jesus before coming back to knock ice creams out of orphans hands when his contract is up with City.
  23. Bang on. But when you need your job and the money it's a hard game to play with your livelihood on the line! And yeah, i've had a few bosses like that, but most are, and i'm glad I got the experience I did when I was young .
  24. I'm thinking he'll come back next season to compete with Matic for the CDM place in our team when Mikel gets sold. I've always rated him and hope he has a good showing at Stuttgart to prove that he is ready for us from next season.
  25. In an ideal world that would be a good attitude to have. But unfortunately there are too many people who are either egomaniacs for no reason and will boss you around or people who have worked for where they are and know that they know better than you and will take it as a slight that you don't listen to them. Either way, this attitude will get you sacked/held down and no-one wants that. While it's good that you have your own ideas, you won't have a happy work life if you hold onto that attitude, as even if you're self employed you'll still have to do things for other people, who will demand you do things in certain ways. And if you tell them you're not going to listen to what they say if they tell you to do something you'll just lose business. And that's not even going into the problems you'll have in relationships if you can't learn to do as you're told, women are even worse with that than bosses.... There are too many arseholes in the world. Trust me, I know. But it's just one of those things you have to suck up and deal with. And I mean this all in the friendliest way, don't take any of it as an insult, yeah?
