  1. There's zero chance United will win any championship with this guy as their main striker. Similarly, Belgium will struggle as long as he's their go-to guy up front. Simply put, he's a striker for a mid-table club, a Belgian Andy Carroll. Except Carroll can actually head the ball.
  2. It's a bit alarming for Mourinho that it seems to be quite to easy to look good against his teams nowadays. Back in the days he was known for making the opposition look mediocre in big games.
  3. Is Chelsea 2004-2006 still the best team Mourinho has ever assembled? I don't mind counter-attacking football when it's done with quality. This United team, however, looks less like United and more like West Brom. So many average players. Of course they equalize just when I was saying this...
  4. Lack of technique and flair in this starting XI is so apparent it's crazy. Zappacosta, Alonso and Bakayoko need to be replaced by players similar to Alex Sandro, Dani Alves and Verratti. That's the only way to make this 3-5-2 work in the long-run. For now, Conte should really think about bringing Pedro for Alonso and Moses for Zappacosta and Willian for Bakayoko.
  5. Saul from Atletico would be the ideal player for this role IMO.
  6. Imagine selling Luiz twice for 50 million.
  7. Eden has reached a new level this season in that central role. He's consistently unplayable now.
  8. On the same week when reports about Sandro's desire to leave Juve made the news, Conte decides to start Zappacosta at LWB. It's as if he's trying to send a message to the board
  9. How the hell is he only 30 years old. Just like with Rooney it feels like this lad has been playing football at the highest level for a century.
  10. Real will buy whoever shines at the World Cup. Thus, solely from Chelsea's perspective, Hazard getting injured right before the World Cup would be the best thing that could happen....but of course there's no football fan in the world who wants to see that.
  11. Honestly there's no team in Europe with better centre-back lineup at the moment. If only the wingback department would be of similar quality and depth....
  12. He would be the perfect LWB though, he's not Azpilicueta defensively but still miles ahead of Alonso. Offensively he would make the attack so so much more dynamic and dangerous. There aren't many players like this available at the moment so if the deal is possible the club has to take the chance.
  13. Getting Sandro could possible change the PL title race. I'm still sceptical on how realistic this deal actually is though
  14. Hazard has been AMAZING today. And the scary thing is we all know he can do better than this
  15. Decent performance considering the midfield trio AND the back five have never played together. I have a feeling we're going to see this lineup a lot in the future
  16. Morata is not going to get any penalties this year. And frankly that's his own fault Edeen!
  17. That's quite literally the best possible lineup Conte could come up with. Excited to see how that midfield works out
  18. It's very difficult to be a player in Mourinho's team if you are not in the starting XI. There have been too many cases where fringe players look plain average under Mourinho but have become literally world class somewhere else. To me it seems like he chooses a small group of amigos at every club and pretty much ignores the rest no matter how well they perform. I remember a cup game couple years ago where Filipe Luis and Azpilicueta were the fullbacks and the overall play was some of the best and most dynamic we had seen in years. For the next league games half of the fans were screaming for that same fullback lineup but Mourinho instead went for the usual Ivanovic-Terry-Cahill-Azpilicueta. It goes without saying that we hardly ever saw both Azpilicueta and Luis together in the starting XI again. Filipe Luis didn't look anything special here apart from few performances but suddenly he was so much better once he went back to Atletico where his manager had faith in him. Similarly, Shaw needs a manager that puts trust in him and promises game time if he performs. I believe that Pep would make him one of the best left-backs in the country and I hope Conte could at least try to do that as well. He's got all the talent in the world but hasn't had proper game time ever since that terrible injury few seasons ago. In the beginning of 2015-2016 season and prior to that injury he was arguably the outstanding player of LvG's mediocre United team. Shaw would be an affordable option for LWB and signing him would definitely improve our dire wingback situation. Moreover, he's better defensively than Alonso and thus he would be able to play as a LB in a back four as well which might be important for some games where we'd have difficulties with our current system.
  19. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5133291/Manchester-United-ready-sell-Luke-Shaw-20m.html If true, getting Shaw for £20 million might be the best deal out there in the January window. We paid twice as much for Bakayoko ffs
  20. Christensen is undroppable at the moment just like Azpi. The only way Luiz can get to the starting XI is by replacing Cahill (seems unlikely?) or by playing in midfield (will happen if Bakayoko continues to be garbage). Or if Andreas plays in midfield. I wonder how he would perform as the anchor in a midfield three similar to the role in which Busquets plays. Obviously I wouldn't move him there because he isn't good enough as a CB but because our midfield is simply not good enough at the moment. Fabregas - Kante Christensen Worth a try at least?
  21. Was surprised how mobile he looked, I thought he is a slow player like Cesc. I wonder how Fabregas - Kante - Drinkwater midfield would work out. If that doesn't work then let's put Luiz in that Bakayoko-role since Bakayoko himself just doesn't have enough qualities to play at this level.
