The people working on transfers at Chelsea can probably sell ice to the eskimos and kryptonite to Superman during the same window.

Middlesbrough are more likely to value him more than most teams given what he did there previously. But he's English so it's bound to be inflated somewhat.
-
10M isn't a bad deal. I'm surprised it amounted to that honestly. I would rate him more at 5-6mil given today's market. We have a better prospect in Abraham regardless.

Agreed, even Alonso is saying the press made up most of the info. Now it seems different papers are reporting that some "friends" of Costa is saying that he's accepting a truce with Conte while others are saying differently and he's fed up with England. Take your pick. For all we know, Costa had back pain and after a brief argument, Conte and his staff decided to just let him train on his own so that he wouldn't exacerbate it with further contact in regular training.

I wonder where United would be without Zlatan's goals and Arsenal without Sanchez's goals, ditto with Aguero in City and Spurs with Kane, Liverpool with Mane... All these hypothetical scenarios...

Now that the minute of silence is done, this thread should make its way to the ex-players section. A bit bittersweet ending for Oscar(for us as well despite the money we get). He announced himself to Chelsea fans with such a bang and while there have been a few moments of magic here and there, he was never as good as he should've been. He hasn't progressed at all and I would say he has declined in terms of mentality as well. It's a shame for him(football speaking) but it's great for us as club to move forward with better players.

I'm ashamed to say I probably inadvertently started a shit-storm in the comments section out of nothing.

I don't blame him given the situation (he probably thought he would've never came back), being extra-time and it was the decisive goal against the manager that got rid of him. I would rather him celebrate then try to patronize us. Luiz always put his heart on sleeve, if he had Lampsy's IQ he prolly would've been smarter and conceal his true emotions. That being said, I liked Jimbo's goal for Charlton against us the most. He equalized in an important league game and did a nice gesture, celebrated moderately and got applauded by the Chelsea fans.

They won't have Ake as well.
-
If he's anything like me, all he needs is a few cups of coffee to get going faster.
-
He definitely was clever because the way he went about blocking the path, it looked like Aguero ran into him and went down too easily. Oh and #KuntAguero
-
Knowing how Harry is, he was probably closer to signing Eddie Izzard instead.
-
He's probably trying to sneak his way into the starting eleven because he misheard Antonio has a thing for beards. Or he lost a bet against Costa.
-
To be fair, he's done well and is part of the defense which has barely conceded at all since we changed to a back three. He looks slow because he's tall and gangly, and most players outpacing him when 1 on 1 aren't exactly slouches. For me, he's done a great job given the fact that we've conceded less goals and he has contributed plenty in attacks. Unlike Iva who goes forward and always leaves a gap ( or chasm), Alonso makes it back in position and makes it difficult for opposition( even if they eventually best him for pace). You can't judge him on that missed opportunity, it was on his weaker foot and we didn't buy him for his goalscoring prowess.
-
We all know that the real real test is up against City. As soon as Spurs conceded they knew it was inevitable. It was only because we brought on Iva and Willian for Hazard and Moses is why they could mount any resistance towards the end. Good to see JT smiling even after that horrid buttock injury he suffered.

Great result, Arsenal dropping points is always welcome and United getting further away from Top 4.
-
It's great to see "young" and "English" talent doing so well for club and country.
-
That's it. I've seen enough, he can't even do a proper celebration. Loan him out (to Sunderland so he can save their arses again) come January.
-
Absolutely buzzing. What a performance! We haven't played this well for ages!
-
Except that we didn't concede.
-
Looking back to his best now. Him and Kante were totally in sync today.
-
Bookies again...
-
Non-issue, probably miscommunication with him anticipating to be subbed but doesn't want to or Conte changed his mind about subbing him. Regardless, it's a non-incident and shouldn't overshadow the win. Both are fiery and passionate characters and it'll be sorted out in the dressing room.
-
Still have reservations of him at CB but he's an absolute beast when deployed in midfield. But I doubt Conte would buy him just for that.
-
Does anyone else thinks he looks a bit like Mata sans beard? Hope he improved although he was generally a 6/10 player when I watched him at Sunderland.
