Tammy would be better than any of those three but if we really need to fill the RWB slot I'd go with Tino Livramento.
-
Half an inch lower that goes in off.

Never a pen.

I hope that what they all do is seek to set the tier of restrictions which is appropriate to the situation in their city. If tier three is appropriate, it's appropriate and we just have to get on with it.

Goalposts are multifunctional. Sometimes they serve to make shots which are in fact off target look a bit more exciting.
-
When I saw Tammy coming on I thought he'd play wide right since he did that a lot in youth football. Must have been something tactical SFL had in mind but it didn't play out.
-
Well I thought that was confirmed before today but ok, I'm with you.
-
To be fair we knew that before today.

Those passes are missed more often than they are made, else a lot of games would finish 6-5, so I'm not getting at Billy about this but he was the wrong substitute. When you are not playing well as a team you look for an individual moment of magic to get you out of trouble. Tino Anjorin was the man for that task. In all probability he'd have done nothing but what did we have to loose? Roll the die and give yourself a chance.

Liverpool will win the league.

There's an adage in American football; if you think you have two quarterbacks it means you don't really have any. That's our situation with centre forwards.

That's exactly the opposite of what Tino is. His problem is that he is only ever explosive. As I've posted many times to say, Tino is an all-or-nothing player. He's being devastating or he's not doing much at all.

All keepers make mistakes. All of them. Without exception.

Tino.

Since Reece's youth team days a lot of fans have been saying that he would one day be captain of this club. Insiders like Jody Morris have apparently been thinking it for longer than that. I was among those fans but I now have doubts. There is no doubt about Reece's on pitch leadership, he demonstrated it beyond dispute while leading the U18s to quadruple glory in 2017/18. Like all players Reece can show that kind of leadership with or without the armband but captaining a Premier League club carries other responsibilities. Responsibilities Reece is not ready for. For example, Reece is very uncomfortable with media duties. In front of a TV camera he goes into his shell and can barely get a word out. Being club captain is about representing, championing and defending club and squad off the pitch as well as on it. Reece is nowhere ready for the off field stuff yet. He may or he may not ever get there but as long as he's contributing on the pitch that's probably all you, me, or any Chels fan will care about.

I haven't watched the game yet but it's encouraging to read this because, in general, I'm worried about Tino. He seems to me to be on the same trajectory as Reuben. If anything I think he is more talented than Reuben but he simply doesn't impact enough games to a sufficient extent. Tino is usually all or nothing. He produces devastating pieces of play or just drifts around on the edges of the game. I don't see consistent influence on the play and without that his chances are slim.

Yep, looks good to me. The only alternative I might consider is sticking with a back four and starting Lewis Bate alongside Jorgi and Billy in the middle. Looking to see some academy hopefuls on the bench too. Even with that attitude to the line up, winning the game is still a fairly high priority for me. Partly for maintaining squad confidence but far more importantly for the money. With the virus having destroyed matchday revenue every little helps and the €2.7m prize for winning tomorrow is not to be sacrificed easily. With the stunning amounts of dosh involved in football it's tempting to feel that €2.7m is small change but in reality that's a huge sum. Enough to fund a lot of ordinary CFC employee's jobs for a long time.

Don't you just love Arabic commentary? Even though, like me, you may not understand a word of the language, there's a rhythm and a cadence to it that just suits the action. P.S. on current form, both his own and that of other players competing for his position, Kova is clearly a first choice selection.

There is a quality that everyone knows is an important component of a manager's make up but it doesn't get mentioned as often as I think it should. Intelligence. It's not that people find any problem complimenting the people who have it, it's that no one wants to state the opinion that xyz person does not have it. Easiest thing, politest thing, is to just leave the topic alone. Frank has it. He also has lot's of experience and has been around high level football literally all his life. On top of everything he would have just absorbed by being around them, he can also call on his family for guidance when he needs it. Lastly he has demonstrated that he recognises and values technical quality in footballers. It is for all of these reasons that I have always wanted Frank to be Chelsea manager one day. That day came earlier than I expected but his attributes give him a great chance. There is still no guarantee that he will succeed to the extent we would like, but the combination of the decent start he has made and his personal qualities mean the club should, no must, persevere with him. Persevere and continue to back him.

Yep, if we ignore the flashing red light and ringing alarm bell of the lot in second place, the table has a pleasing look. We know it's way too early etc, etc, but there's going to be a table after 11 games so it might as well look like that. On the downside, Arsenal are only 9 points behind us. With a game in hand. Hope that the lads enjoy the Sunday papers this morning, that most of them have the night off on Tuesday and that the table inspires them to work even harder this week.
-
My feeling exactly.
-
A test passed. Not with flying colours but ok. We don't have all the pieces in the right place yet. We might even have all the right pieces but another small step forward.
-
Get in!!
-
Yes this is the problem. He isn't naturally selfish. In fact there was a time when he was getting criticism here for not shooting enough.

Kova for?
