10 more matches 'til the January transfer window opens. Hope our performers stay healthy.
-
I missed the match, but I'll agree with you here on every point. It's time to get rid of players and buy more. Getting knocked out of this competition is better for Chelsea's chances in the league anyway.
-
Agree.

I would rather not have Mr. Toxic One speaking to Antonio. GREAT performance today by everyone! As the commentator said here, we have a little weakness on our left with Cahill at LCB (or the combination of him and Alonso's slow pace), but otherwise, we looked very good. Maybe Pedro can improve his passing, anticipation, chemistry with Diego up top. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Gave me a boost for the week. Chalobah on the pitch again: yay! Happy.

Have a feeling that if Willian plays and Shaw plays, we could see Willian negated. Otherwise, I don't have a clue on this one. They have the better goalkeeper. Good luck CFC. Beat that Miserable One.

I don't know how Oscar makes it back into the starting 11 regularly. I think it's over. Looks like it could be time for Oscar, Mikel and Fabregas to leave. Seems to me Conte knows what he's doing but Chelsea have put themselves so far behind in terms of building a quality squad that it will take some time in future transfer windows and with the young players to really get this squad right from fullbacks, centre backs to centre mids and on to the attackers. oh, and there's the GK it seems.
-
I would take him and the other, Badelj, I think.
-
Bring on the changes.
-
Which city are in and are you seeing any club football there? Welcome!
-
Wish I could see more of him, but I've not watched much Serie A for years.
-
And the douche replies to Conte by yelling at the manager to sub him out since Conte doesn't like his play. This relationship... I'm guessing is going to be turbulent indefinitely.
-
Replace Pedro and it will be far better with player who shows good anticipation.
-
Nice play from Chelsea, but Pedro is awful (crap for anticipation). Very clear Barca got a good deal (similar to Bremen on Marin).
-
The only clubs in the league capable of competing at the tempo of this Spurs-City match are Arsenal and Liverpool. The rest of the clubs are about 7 or 8 horse lengths behind and Chelsea are probably among the worst in terms of speed, anticipation, cohesion, etc. That was kind of amazing. Spurs are years ahead of Chelsea.

squad is incomplete, lacking a lot. Would be nice to see Bats in there to take pressure off of both Hazard and Costa. I would like to see Chalobah more also, but I think the logic with Conte is that he's already put in Alonso and Moses and cannot change more than that in one match. I know Hazard hasn't produced much in months, but when you see how he's covered and pressed by multiple defenders, it's as though every club anticipates the ball going to him and negates that route immediately. Willian negates himself, Matic is too slow, Diego gets not much at all to work with, etc. etc. Team needs more speed physically and with movement, passing. It just isn't happening with this group and I can't see anything developing throughout this season. There's really nothing to watch here. Anyone watching Dortmund in 10 minutes?
-
This club needs a clearing-out. I have nothing else to say.
-
Right on.
-
That's probably correct for me, although I would like to see Chalobah getting minutes in matches away from SB.

Doesn't fully make sense. Why hire big name managers or sign a top striker from a top club in La Liga then (OK, maybe that was just one for Jose then)? Mixed messages, incoherent decision-making at the top. For me, I've been thinking that it's just time to move on. Didier Drogba and the crew ten years ago really captured me, but now... nothing whatsoever and its been fading since the lack of quality around Didier for years.

Can any of you here who live in Bangkok, China, or S. Korea tell me about getting the data and printer for poly-vinyl numbering and lettering that imitates La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A and PL very well? Have any genuine contacts (as in, people you've met and dealt with face-to-face)? When I lived in Bangkok, the imitation numbering and lettering was perfect and it actually stays on better than the real Premier League letters and numbers (at least 8 and 9 years ago it did).

We need new leadership at this club, full stop. Anyone who thinks that somehow in 2 months time things will not look as bad as today is just fooling themselves. It SHOULD NOT require a fucking crisis and a lot of shit play from the 1st team to figure out when action is needed to either merely maintain a our club at the top level, near the top of the table, or to improve (setting sights on Real, Barca, Bayern, etc.).
-
Anyone have Martin Caceres' number?
-
The thing to point out here is that the league was weaker for at least the past two seasons; if not that minimum then maybe as far back as Fergie's retirement. Meanwhile Spurs have been improving (but fell short) and Arsenal have so far failed to take advantage of the league's weakness. edit: For me, the real upgrades in the Premier League have been: Pep, Koeman, Pochettino, Klopp and probably de Bruyne's return via the Northwest.
-
I've been repeating that quote since it was printed. No shit; he knows what he's talking about. He is Pep.
-
I think at this point I would rather fantasize about a summer in which we hired Koeman, bought both Kante and Gueye, two centre backs, two fullbacks (maybe even Fabinho), a new winger/AM, a new striker (Bats is fine).... etc. etc. Luckily, I can just watch Dortmund play every week. Chelsea are still a mess. AVB can have another laugh. edit: also, we can all still laugh at Arsenal for not buying enough last year and failing to win in a poor league.
