  1. You're not really a Chelsea fan are you?
  2. Absolutely. Mikel - Ramires for me. Lampard should be nowhere near those two positions as he does not protect the back four. I would also use KDB, Oscar, and Van Ginkel there occasionally to give a different dynamic and more control against lesser sides.
  3. He was good today as Fulham parker the bus and the caravan against us tonight, any top side with quick, skillful players he's been struggling. But I would still much rather see Terry than Cahill at the back.
  4. So do I, football fans across the continent rate him really highly. He's got pace, strength and skills. I can't wait to see him given a proper crack at it.
  5. Mr smooth criminal, he was an out and out gangster tonight! Great performance in every aspect.
  6. Get this lad on a fitness programme for a week or two and have him back in the side when he's 100%. As much as I wanna see him playing every minute, he looked below par so far this season. He's one of the world's best players and will nail his spot in the front three when he is proper fit.
  7. Baby faced assassin with balls the size of two moons. Nervous game all round tonight but great performance. I heard he was chosen Man of the Match by the Sky pundits as well, which I can see why although my personal choice was Mikel, Iva second and Oscar third.
  8. He showed some acceleration today, I liked what I saw. You never know it with Torres in a Chelsea shirt but I think he earned a start in our next match. Well done Fernando.
  9. The man is a legend, but it's time to step aside. He should be really thankful Jose made that phone call when he was about to sign for Galaxy after AVB, di Matteo and Benitez tried to move him on. We looked great tonight with a proper DM and a speedy box to box player to connect our back 4 to our attack. He should get a few minutes here and there but, at 35, he is no longer physically capable to perform at the highest level, no matter how determined he is.
  10. Great to see him back with some freedom and not having to work twice as hard to cover Lampard's legs. Great game!
  11. He was colossal today! My man of the match! Mikel and Ramires for the two pivots is a no brainer.
  12. Hulk is a very underrated player these days, the poor fella never wanted to go to Russia but Porto only wanted to accept the highest offer, nothing wrong with that from their perspective as that's how they roll. A read an article last week about Scolari being very very keen to bring Willian back to their national team. I think - as long as he is fit and playing - he will get called up very soon.
  13. I have watched every Liverpool match since Coutinho and Sturridge signed for them. Coutinho is a diamond and has a lot of interceptions to his name, he's fine playing as a number 10. What has been hurting Liverpool in that department is that Lucas was out of form coming back from his lengthy injury and Gerrard has lost his legs. It's not Coutinho's job per se to protect their back four. Back on topic I think Moses is gonna have a blast playing for them this season, but their squad as a whole is barely top 5 material.
  14. It's his third loan now. Chalobah showed him what we expect from our youngsters, he's got lions to kill and mountains to climb, it's up to him, I can only wish him luck.
  15. Moses would have been a starter anyway. The hard-working but technically inept Henderson has been been playing in a makeshift wide role so far; their team would look like: Back 5 Lucas - Gerrard Coutinho Moses Suarez Sturridge It's a decent side, hopefully they can take a few more points from our title rivals and help Moses develop even more. I think he has what it takes to be here next year.
  16. Cahill criticized? He's the media's darling purely to the fact he starts for the national team and they're trying to protect most of the players in a world cup year.
  17. I really wanna see this boy on the pitch, he's one of the best in the league. The problem is that he has not been effective whenever he played this season - yet.
  18. What I have been noticing lately - especially in our last game - is that Oscar seems to be getting even more pacey. Benitez said he played Oscar out wide last season because of his speed and his ability on "1 v 1!" situations. I mean he's no Hazard who is hands down the quickest player in the Premier League but he's pretty quick.
  19. Definitely. Oscar, Hazard and Schurrle can play SS. We have a very supple and versatile set of attacking midfielders along with Mata, KDB and Willian.
  20. Cahill is great at last ditch tackles and heading the ball in the opposition box. That's where his game ends. There's a reason why Arsenal or no other club apart from us decided against spending 8 million on him. He just cannot read or interpret the game. I know Terry's legs are going but I'd still play him over Cahill any day.
  21. The machine will be back for the next game. Some say he drinnks lucozade to fall asleep.
  22. This boy needs two things. Nurturing and games. I see big things for him with our shirt, just not yet.
  23. From now on I think we will see a lot less from Lampard in the coming weeks. Jose taking him off after his mistake that lead to their first goal might have been a hint that he finally saw what ABV, Di Matteo and Benitez saw.
  24. It was Mata. he got caught trying to turn. But we as a top side should be able to defend a corner. It was Lampard who misplaced a pass on the left which led to their first goal though, which was more damaging than Mata's mistake as that meant he was yet again caught out of position leaving a massive gap for Basel to counter. I think that's why Mourinho took him off because you don't see Frank being subbed under Jose.
