Moses' stats were inflated by the fact he was impressive in the minor competitions like Europa League and the League Cup. The PL is and always should be Chelsea's main priority and there Moses was bad, only one league goal and not many assists either. To me that would still be forgiven had he at least looked decent but his all-around play is too inconsistent. He was the same when still at Wigan and is still shit at Liverpool, so I can only make a conclusion that Victor Moses is not a good enough player for a top club.
Schürrle apart from the last few appearances has mostly been good. Hasn't had many opportunities on his natural position on the left wing, which is understandable given Hazard's form, and he's also been struggling with his fitness but I have faith in the lad once he's fully settled in. Watched him a lot under Sami Hyypiä's management at Leverkusen and believe me when I tell you that we haven't seen the best of him yet. [/quote

Exactly he is well ahead ,if you compare where Drogba was in his career at Lukaku's age! Its upto the Cfc coaching staff to improve him in the areas that he needs and with a natural learning curve,we will have a 20+ prem goal scorer for many years to come! Ffs its been emotional waiting for 1

I think we need to start thinking about CHelsea as one of the best clubs in the world.
You don't see any player in Real Madrid that is a regular 2nd choice saying that he wants to leave. FOr example Di Maria is right now a second choice, he knew it in the begining of the season and he still stayed after being in the starting eleven for 3 years.
Higuain was for one year or two years in the starting eleven of Madrid, on the other seasons he had to fight against everyone (Van Nistelroy, Raul, Benzema, etc).
That's how things work in great teams. We have 5 great AM, 3 great CB, 2 great RB, and we should have at least 2 great/very good players for every position if we want to fight for everything including the CHampions League.
The players that don't want to fight for their spot are not good enough to play for a giant like we are. They go and we buy another great player to replace them.
We can't have just 4 AM with international quality, because if one of them is injured we are in great problems playing 2 games every weak.
There are enough games for everyone if they work properly.

For all i like his work ethic, his half term report is average and has do much better,I thought Moses done a half decent job for us in his 1st season with us and his goals&assists tally were quite decent for the amount of games he played and thought this guy would bring more to the team than Moses but so far...average he has been imho

Instead of buying Schürrle/Willian and keeping KDB when we wasn't even gonna be part of this team we should have simply brought in a top midfielder so our best player from the last 2 years doesn't have to be sacrificed.

I hate how people only mention work-rate when the subject is the reason for Mata's benching.I think people give little credit to what our other 10s give to our team offensively.Mata simply isn't made for a counter attacking team.You can look back at our CL winning campaign and just see how average he was because of our park the bus system.
Hazard-Oscar-Willian has potential to be something like Ribery-Muller-Robben in the near future.Maybe even better since our players are also amazing playmakers.

How can people say he's not good enough this year when he's not playing in his position? the lad has been out of favor since the first few games in the league ffs. selling a guy who assisted/scored more than half of our goals in the last two years, brilliant idea. we're not scoring enough goals this year, we're not creating enough chances. we're just passing side ways. we need someone who's going to pass the ball through defenders to make a 1vs1 situation like Hazard for the first time did today. Mata is the best passer in the team, it's no brainer he should start as a no10, with Oscar starting with Rami in CM.

He was immense I think his our only natural playmaker which is why we should keep him, he is really differnt from all the other trio but in a special kind of way.

Mata has played a lot recently but can anyone seriously say he's been playing or has been allowed to play as a true number 10?
He's been out wide for most of it as well. Versus Stoke when it was him, Schurrle and Hazard it was Schurrle playing at number 10 as a shadow striker and Mourinho had Mata playing on the right wing as an inside forward which is what he's been playing as for the majority of this season. He isn't close to as effective there as he is when given the freedom to be the organiser in attack.
I honestly can't believe a player who scored 20 goals and got 30+ assists last season is being marginalised like this, especially when the system we have going on right now isn't as effective either.
Oscar at number 10 with the responsibility he's given would work a lot better if we had attacking fullbacks and a decent distributor in the pivot but we don't have the latter and Mourinho refuses to implement the former.
The fact that we have great creative players like Mata, KDB, Hazard, Willian and Oscar that are not producing enough assists or goals (bar Oscar for the latter) shows that there's something wrong with the system we're implementing right about now and that's understandable given that we've only had Jose for the last 5/6 months but there aren't any signs of progression just yet which is exactly what's worrying me atm.

Think if we dont sign any midfielders in January,Jose should look at Chalobah and give him afew games as he liked what he saw in pre-season,as this loan hasnt progressed him as everybody probly thought it would.

With Essien looking dire and our lack of depth in midfield,Ake surely deserves a chance imo.

Main players we should target in january/summer...

The future looks to bring outgoing for: Lampard, Mata, deBruyne, Ba, maybe Cole. Chelsea needed more center midfielders last summer and the summer before (and the summer before that); they've gotten just one, who is now injured. Should buy one, and either buy a 2nd or promote someone like Loftus-Cheek.
I am curious who is better or has more potential: Shaw or vanAanholt?
I feel confident that Wallace will be good enough to contend for the starting XI ITF.
As for striker, I hardly care. The relevant question for the present is whether Chelsea have enough ability at striker to make the top 4 in the League; everything else this season should be geared toward moving on, not dwelling on the past--including ousting old players who can't keep up the tempo of play and possibly changing the formation.

Can't believe that Ryan hasnt got many games this season. A natural left sided player i cant remember when he has been given a chance that he has played so shit that he deserved time out! Ffs play Azpil at rb and Ryan at lb or left side of midfield,ps i see Lfc paper gossip might like him grrrrr better not happen...

I said this last season as well, Ake would be better than anyone save Rambo as a cm.

Just to be clear guys: He is a CB. He played a role last season because we were thin at CM and Benitez liked him. He's been playing at CB since then and will continue to play there.
Oh, and he is certainly not solution to all our problems. He's just 18.
