  1. Lol , good one. Typical Mourinho though, i doubt even a 17 year old Messi would get a look into a Mourinho team before.
  2. Holy crap, he just received some big praise from U21's coah Adi Viveash: "Viveash: "Charly Musonda was the best player in the U21 league in the last three months of last season, let alone at Chelsea." Here are some more words from Adi on Musonda: It actually sounds like Viveash is screaming for Musonda to be given a chance (i never seen him do that for any player). It also shows that not everybody at the club agrees with Mourinho's youth policy. My only hope is that they find a good loan team for the kid, or Chelsea allow him to leave the club. So that he doesn't waste his talent at the U21 lvl. Edit: Gif of his amazing run in the game against Liverpool: https://streamable.com/59vk
  3. Lol the B-team playing first, better lube up BOY'S! /joke
  4. For people that speak dutch, Yannick Ferrera was on Extra Time yesterday (A belgian football talkshow). Ferrera is currently the coach of Sint-Truiden, but he worked with Musonda when he was a coach for the Anderlecht youth squad. Here's the bit of him talking about Charly: http://sporza.be/cm/sporza/videozone/programmas/extratime/2.40269?video=1.2402002 Quick translation for other users: He trained a couple of the current belgian stars including Januzaj, Tielemans, Denayer, Lukaku,... but he was most impressed with Charly. He said that Charly at age 10 had the decision making of a 30 year old player ( also very concentrated). At the moment he thinks Charly can make the same evolution like Thorgan Hazard in terms of loan progression. The other panel members we're questioning Charly's decision for leaving Anderlecht too soon. Ferrera replied: "I think Charly's decision was logical, i could be wrong ofcourse but he's an Iniesta type talent."
  5. http://www.squawka.com/news/reports-chelsea-youngster-charly-musonda-agrees-marseille-deal/424388?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed This popped up today but im not sure if it goes through. For some reason it seems te club is hesistant to loan him out (Same as Boga and Colkett). Anyway, apparently Bielsa wants either Musonda or Charles Aranguiz. The latter is probably too expensive though.
  6. Yeah, but it is easy to get biased if you don't have the full picture. Anyway, im still pretty sure Mourinho made the right decision in hindsight, and that Oscar fits better when in form (in our system). Sometimes he's too quick in judgement about certain kind of players though. Im pretty sure that most members would rather have players like Mata/KDB/Schürrle/Luiz in favor of players like Salah, Cuadrado, Mikel, and Ramires.
  7. That's way of the truth tbh. First both parties aren't fully honest about it, remember when we bought Willian at the end of august? I guess Mourinho already saw what he didn't like about Mata/KDB/Schürrle, and went ahead to get a player that fitted his profile. Also, KDB was also benched before the Manchester United game. I remember him being given MoTM (altough Oscar played slightly better) against Hull, but a week later he was benched for Mata. Mata didn't perform well in that game so KDB got the nod again against Man U. Im sure you didn't see alot of Belgium games prior to the WC, if you assume that Hazard wasn't chosen to be the National Team star. He actually had that role. Wilmots is probably his biggest fan, and has tried to accomodate the squad to Eden time and time again. KDB was pushed out wide alot of times so that Eden would have more time on the ball. KDB actually just started playing as our N10 after the World Cup (he mainly played as a right winger before). Eden was and is given alot of responsibility (Wilmots even made him vice-captain), but aside from 1 or 2 almost meaningless matches he never shone for Belgium. Eden's biggest weakness tbh is his lack of true killer instinct, there's no denying that KDB was alot more prolific in goalscoring and keypasses for the NT being played out of position. Same as KDB, Eden also doesn't like it if he's not the main man. I remember him being subbed in a qualifier, and after the game he was spotted eating a hamburger (he got alot of flack for that in the media). Recently he was visibily pissed when Wilmots subbed him around the 60th minute mark. Also at Chelsea, remember him missing his train and being benched by Mourinho in favor of Schürrle (a CL match)? Him sitting in the stands with his hoodie on and brooding silently. You get the idea, im sure alot players of similar qualities would react the same way as Kevin. Eden and Oscar we're Mourinho favorites from the start, and never actually had to fight for their places when they dropped form like KDB, Mata, and Schürrle. I agree though that KDB needs to play regularly to reach good form. Rarely will he make an impact as a super-sub. Being given main man status is a pile of rubbish though, he can play pretty well in different positions, and has proven that in the past.
  8. "In this moment he is far from being in conditions to play for us". i think he's pretty fucked already, unless he impresses in early cup matches. Did Mourinho ever change his mind about a player since his second arrival? I can only remember Azpi.
  9. Eden get's fat pretty easy. He was also pretty fat in his first pre-season with Mourinho.
  10. + they are born in the same year and he's a year younger than Matic.
  11. What is his homegrown status? Thought i read somewhere that he still needs 1 more year.
  12. Also, i find it strange that he is not training with the loan group like Jeremie Boga. What are Chelsea gonna do with him now? I just hope he doesn't waste another year playing for the U21's hoping for some first-team minutes in cup games.
  13. Tbh, i don't think he was targetting Brown (or Solanke). He probably just felt that his hard work wasn't recognised. Saying it on social media was a stupid move though.
  14. Funny thing is though, they already shipped Brown to Vitesse. Tbh, even if he got the same chances as Brown and Solanke, he would've gotten loaned anyway.
  15. In advanced negotiations with Bayern... Why aren't we in for him? I got a feeling Mourinho is putting all his faith in Oscar having a stellar season.
  16. Looks to me it was a last minute decision from Mourinho. Looking at his retweets, he surely feels rejected. https://twitter.com/Musondacjr
  17. Buy em, loan em, sell them for profit! A good way to avoid FFP restrictions. Unless you are ofcourse a defender, a 6 ft+ midfielder, you are not going to get any chances under Mourinho before going on loan.
  18. Lol, what a dick move if true. Curious if Boga and such are going to Montreal.
  19. #CFCU21: Beeney, Ali, Sammut, Conroy, Dasilva, Christie-Davies, Wakefield, Colkett, Abraham, Palmer, Kiwomya. So probably no Colkett and Dasilva on tour. Dunno about Jeremie Boga, he's probably going unless he's on the bench.
  20. Idd, but most of the time he's pretty reliable. Guess we'll know more tonight when the U21's play, and see who's missing in their squad.
  21. Im not so sure about that. We seem to sort out our loan deals fairly fast + Marseille already begun their pre-season training (first match this friday i think). If he was seriously linked i think he would already be gone. Im also a bit surprised that Musonda is joining them on tour. Does that mean he will fight for a place when they return (or will he go on loan after the tour)? Because 2 weeks ago he was talking with AS Monaco, Olympique Marseille and Arsenal. I guess Mourinho convinced him to stay. @The Skipper: I think Jay Dasilva is a bit too young (from 1998). About Colkett, he kinda play's in the same position as RLC, and there's probably no place for him. There is not alot of youth coming with the team, because our squad is already quite complete when we go to Montreal (Bar Willian, Falcao and Cuadrado). I guess Dom Solanke acts as the third striker, Musonda as the second N10 that can fill in for Oscar (can play as a left/right winger too, and in central midfield), Bertrand Traore as the right winger, Ola Aina is an exciting right back (can play in central defence also). Don't know much about Jake Clarke-Salter though, maybe someone else can fill us in why Mourinho lets him join the tour.
  22. Apparently these are the youngsters travelling with the first-squad: Ruben Loftus-cheek, Dom Solanke, Bertand Traore, Ola Aina, Jake Clarke-Salter, Charly Musonda (and GK's).
  23. It is much better than last year, and tbh we will only really miss Willian at the start i guess (no offence to Cuad and Falcao).
  24. Everyone bar Willian and Cuadrado are going to participate right? Should be fun, i remember last year it took a while before our whole squad was together. And when do the lads start training? Arsenal, United, Liverpool, City have all started already.
